Abhas, Priyani, Toshi and Harshit were really awesome in the folk songs. Irfan too did a great job. I thought Mirande, Abhilasha, Ishmeet and Sumitra were just about average. But overall it was fun to watch this episode.

it was good episode,PIRYANI VANI,ABHAAS,TOSHI,IRFAN…These were at merit chronologicaly according to me..But one i still fail to understand which is a dual role of LALIT and AADESH,,,why they behave like this as AADESH did with the case of HIRSHIT and telling about his family background,,it would be okay in other cases,,but why so much sympathy and why he is requesting to the audience why he is begging..IS HE A TRUE AND FAIR JUDGE..??..and this is competition,this is a SANGHARSH,,so why sympathy,every body has some responsibilities more or less…so why it should cash dramatically ,,specially in the fair competition..every contestant should be treated same one plat form…the difference matters only on the basis of VOICE QUALITY,VERSATILITY,not on the basis of FAMILY BACK GROUND…THIS …AND….THAT..stupid all…..just do which is honest.
now see LALIT…how much he is sharp minded person…OH MY GOD…unbelievable….if a contestant comes from AGNI,,specialy HARSHIT just look at LALIT…how he spread his ARMS IN AIR,,,,and how he dramatically praises while try to call others eye to eye contact and tell them ANKHON ANKHON MEN..K..what a performance,,even does bound to others to follow him…and how he shouts…OH MY GOD..
I am not against HARSHIT…I like him,,,he is a very very good singer,,,he should controlled his voice in a smooth way and try to avoid to go on the way of KUMAR SANU…..in my views ALKA JI and ABHIJIT DA are the fair judges…they do justice,,which is the supreme demand of the show..AADESH and PANDIT BROTHERS should keep in mind it too…

For me, the contestants are free to talk in their regional language, ask for vote appeals from their region, make promises to the audience, etc etc, the 3 minutes that they spent singing a song is what really matters. Whatever extra stuff that they do shows who they are as a person and some of their other skills like their ability to rhyme, say a shayari or sing a regional song etc. Their community and its culture makes up that person and they should be free to represent it without our judgments.

Sorry but i have been talking about the issue again and again. Adesh and Lalit being biased for there own group. This shouldnt be taken personally as it is affecting the genuinity of the show. Isnt it ?? They never comment positively about prithvi group but are no.1 in finding any flaws. Most of the time when everybody is expecting 9-10 makrs for performance they shock everybody by giving 6-7 marks. This is not going fair… i appeal to gaj ji to intervene before the showe reaches its final stages. i think we have seen a lot of crao going on between adesh and lalit. The whole of india come together and beat there judgement which is clearly not fair. Once they start voting for what they like i think they will themselves understand the power of democratic india. People here can topple govts easily why cant they prove them that what they are doing will prove useless.
They are dimnishing there own image by doing all things. Look at Abi and Alka – They always have praise for the best even if it is from Agni. Adesh and Lalit think that they are behind there successful performance but i feel sorry for them. they are not responsible for anybody’s performance here. It is actually the hard work put in my these upcoming generation/singers which speaks for it.
So there should not be anything called biased approach in the show as shown by Adesh and Lalit. This is not politics and any tactics influencing the votes shouldnt be used.
In fact the whole point system from this stage should be left on people to decide otherwise we would never get a deserving voi.

SUMITRA’s performance was realy good,,but judges should be carefull and attentive while giving them points because ABHIJIT DA did not well…one points makes much difference…..your (ABHIJIT) mistake can put her remain in CHAKARWAT…although she doesnt deserve…SUMITRA YOU ARE BEST NO DOUBT…keep it up and keep in mind you will face a tuff competition from PRIYANI VANI…PIRYANI is leading in female contestants..

Irfan has been consistent and good always. His performance was mind blowing. The only problem is neither his guru nor ifran himself does not know how to market his talent….mr. adesh and Mr. lalit r doing only that…whether the person sings well or not, they come on to the stage after the performances and keep asking votes for them…this is quite annoying….abhilasha has been very good….she has a very good voice…i hope she selects good songs so that she wud get lots of votes.

Venkat, I fully understands you, what are the reason behind showing harshit`s grandmother on the show. I really respect elders, and her grandmother, but one thing I would like to know, is this is a talent hunt for VOI or a charity show, Adesh said I know this guy ( harshit) he is sincere, I would like to aks, does it matter. we are not questioning your creditibality, I would believe that adesh doesn`t know what he is for and what he suppose to do, the way he acts and reacts.

Mirande is a good singer she sang tinka tinka so well from her heart I feel she was better than Original. How come she was in chakrawat. People please cast your vote for her. I feel Abhilasha or Sumitra need to be voted out.

In answer to your query , TRPs my friend, TRPs !!. In India nothing sells better than emotion !Needless to say we are an extremely emotional people. So take raksha bandhan, add the eternal love between sister and brother ( or in this case 2 musician brothers and “n” sisters), add another blind grandma in there, 9 singers who are contract ridden to you and sprinkle that with music and a setting like VOI and hey presto, we have a magical concoction! Guaranteed to tug even the most toughest , cynical heart strings…..

I agree with Sunil and Rahil from Aukland in the previous comments. Toshi and Abhas has been really good. Gaj should stop bringing the celebrity Guests and bring the legends of music like A.R.Rahman and Lataji, Ashaji and so n so forth. I would strongly disagree with Shaan commenting about Souties and Northies. I see a lot of Racism and regional Bios happening in the contest, Adesh support people from Lucknow and Jabalpur.i also feel there should be certain amount of transparency in declaring the results, for example: arshpreet was so ood listen to her privous performances ex: Channa ve channa and her The first performance she wa superb and he voice quality is just amazing and such singers are very hard to find. the voice touches the soul and bring tears in the eveys of people like Voice of Toshi, arshpreet. they are amazing and one contestant in SAREGAMAPA Raja HAssan is also one of such voices. Guys pelase vote the right person and your votes are very important.
Gaj ji please give some originality and stop these comercial drams in the great reality show of SVOI. we wait for the weekend madly to watch the show.

Guys I also like to bring one point out here. Shaan Talks about or anyone talks about South people watch the show very less. have they taken effort to go and find the singers in South? I bet they find lovely singers have learnt carnatic music and traditional classical music because the music is in blood of many families as its part of their culture to learn the music. the show was never organized in Hyderabad or any part of South to select singers. Irfan was able to make it since he came to Bombay and made to attend the contest.
I agree with Mr. Kamal above as Adesh and Lalit are being biased with their group. Stop all these nonsense happening and concentrate only in music which follows no caste and creed no boundaries nothing. it speaks only one language music and touches one’s heart.

Politics is always there in almost all the musical shows governed by voting.people try to exploit centiments.
both the judges of agni are cleverly doing that.
Leaving all those things aside.
The route to the top position in voice of india is clearly by song selection.
I really wish if toshi or priyani cud win the competition.
toshi shud clearly stick to his genre of singing.He need not sing saaqi saaqi re.
he can mantain his charm & rise more in the eyes of voters by singing his usual hallmark.song types like those of piya re piya re,teri deewani etc.
priyani – this singer is showing amazing improvement day by day.has a very gud chance to win if the same streak continues.
i really dont understand why abhilasha’s perforamance is going up & down & y she is not consistent.
actually i wud blame her mentors for that.its gud that alka stood by her but that cannot happen everytime.
abhijeet & alka shud do everything to make sure that girl feels confident.
& the mentors shud really help her in gud song selection for her.
anyone who has listened to her first performance song at jaipur wud know her talent .her song – tu chanda.. .i can never forget that.it still sounds in my ears.
if this girl is at her best then nobody can beat her.not even toshi or priyani.
about abhaas- he sings most of mohd. rafi songs extremly well.really gets drowned.
harshit has to get to his individuality.
overall i think toshi & priyani or more deserving for the top positions than abhaas or harshit.
i really wish if abhilaasha cud buck up & turn the tables.
& at last a word about shaan. he is really a unbiased & one of the better souls in the show.
his north-south remark was casual.
infact earlier, some 2 shows before shaan really felt bad that inspite of irfan giving gud performance he does not
get votes as people in south dont watch & vote for him.he made a appeal to to everyone to vote for irfan.
may the best singer win.

Hello All Music lovers…
As far as singers of SRGMP are concerned.. only Raja Hassan and Anik Dhar stand apart from all other and are capable of competing with singers of SVOI..
In my opinion this week’s VOI was the best show overall in VOI history… Every singer has improved to a shocking rather rocking extent..
My observation about the contestants for this week:
1. Abhilasha : If she continues the perform in the same manner as she did this week.. She stands apart from all female contestants. And I repeat she is a playback voice.
2. Mirande : Again a good performance.. She is a raw singer.. Natural talent.. I hope she keeps improving and doesn’t get those tonsils again.
3. Irfan : An example… This is what one can become by being sincere, dedicated and giving in everything for a dream. Doing wonders and now this guy stands in competition with top male singers.
4. Sumitra : As I said she is an intelligent song selector but not much of her kind songs left which can be impressive. No doubt she is a good singer but at the end of the day we’re loking for the best talent. If she wants attention she needs to stop singing voice modulation songs and prove her versatility.
5. Harshit : This weeks performance has proved that Harshit is really working hard and has sung two beautiful though tough songs.. Bravo Harshit.. Just work on your dialect and ur voice will do wonders for you.
6. Ishmeet : Well sung Ishmeet, however I feel that you have come a long way and if I’m asked who is next.. Im sorry but it should be you.. Ure a very good singer but now there are others who have Classical edge above you. Hope u pull up ur socks and start learning Classical..
7. Priyani : Listening to her this week was special.. specially ‘Bichhua’, Fantastic
Fabulous.. This was the only week where I did not find her voice shaking even once, “Brilliant” now that shows the hard work behind..
The only challenge is consistancy..
8. Toshi : Subhanallah… What to say about him.. A Gem.. Everytime he sets a higher benchmark for him as well as for us and proves it in the next show.. But I’ll just give him a piece of advice.. “Mausiki mei itna na khona ae dost ki tere kadam behak jayein”
(What you have got, just stick to it, Coz thats the best.)
And if u can plz sing Rahat Fateh Ali’s genre.. Nothing like it.
9. Abhas : Its a Wonderful Abhas to listen to him.. TONS of talent still to come out from him, this guy is what people say “DYNAMIC”.
Complete entertainer in all terms.
Never loses his concentration. Thanks for singing Rafi sahab’s song.. and most importantly doing justice to it. You have a long way to go brother.. Love ur attitude..

According to me, Saregamapa and VOI has their own uniqness. Some reason I still love Saregamapa. Some of the participants in saregamapa has their own style and so does VOI. for example, Mussarat from SRGMP is amazing with sufi style songs whereas Mirande from VOI is good with dance numbers. I am not fan of Aneek, he always pick easy songs and I think he is hyped by Himesh Reshamiya. In VOI, Sumitra is spoiled. I don’t think Raja and Aneek are only best singers. Raja makes lots of mistake and so does Aneek. According to me, in SRGMP, I like everyone except Mauli and Sumedha. I like special Poonam and Amanat. In VOI, I like Mirande and Toshi.

Dear freinds, I wouldn`t take elimination of Toshi as a surprise or shock. it is expected if not this week maybe soon. because crabs who got power doesn`t want to take him thru to the final stages because he got the potential to win this so caled VOI program, and it is a big threat for them due to Toshi is getting more and more popular. I am confident the winner has already named, and the voting system and transparency is just an eyewash.
Toshi has a class and soon will join true legendaries, like Jagjit singh, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ghulam Ali etc.

I just finished watching Star VOI’s 31st Aug. episode. What can I say……i am shell shocked. Toshi out of VOI ??!! If people of India cannot recognise the talent of trained singers, then we should not boast about our musical heritage…blah…blah…blah.
Gajji, with this episode, you have lost one consistent viewer of VOI…that’s me !!

A big let down.
The feeling was worse than India losing yesterday against england.
The biggest let down is the system of differnetiating singers according to their states. Really SUX .
The show Should be called STAR “Most populated ” STATE of INDIA.!!

i was actually so shocked at your news that i totally forgot it was not a live programme.i asked u how u got the news etc i am so sorry it is possible as this is only a recorded programme.so shocked i was. really sad toshi has lost but he has won the hearts of millions of fans like me. really shattering ,i cannot sleep today……….such a jenuine quality singer..next time on wards there should be only a panel of judges out side the programme for selecting the singers.i mean other than the judges inside the show.gajenderji …………….pl listen the selection should never be given to the public.it will be like voting the candidates for loksabha.it is an insult to SVOI THAT WE CANNOT SEE TOSHI FURTHER IN THE PROGRAMME.WHAT A SHAME VOICE OF INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!TOSHI ,YOU WILL NEVER GO FROM OUR HEARTS.

SVOI is recorded on Mondays and Tuesdays of the past week before it is shown on TV on Fridays and Saturdays. So the audience spilled the information on different social networking sites.
I’m heartbroken too.. He’ll be back. May be not to SVOI but to our ears, in some way or another.

Today is my birthday and I had never got such a worst gift in my 37 years of life but YES today Janta Janardhan gifted me with this WORST surprise that TOSHI got eliminated so early. He is a finalist if not the winner..
REASON,,,I know Lalit/Adhesh…u all know what I mean… with due respect for both of them as great composers, but guys, Adhesh even did not bother to come at the stage to condole Toshi,, you must realize whats is going on here..
Anyway, in my personal opinion and being an amateur singer, I was only watching VOI because of Toshi and M. Irfan but will never gonna switch to this program ever…not only because of TOSHI but because of injustice done with his unique talent… He is a sensational singer and especially, if anyone could sing pretty close to the legendary singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb, he is TOSHI. I personally believe if any one who can come closer to Ustad Nusrat johnor, he is a true legendary VOI that is either Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sb or TOSHI MOHAMMAD.
Hat off to Abhijeet da who have truly valued your talent and demonstarted in front of everyone so boldly that he has already adopted you as his younger bro.. u r gonna go places my brother…I love you from the bottom of my heart and hope to see you soon on big picture.
You will be soon back TOSHI… have faith in God.
My heart goes out to you and I request to all of you if anyone can give me his contact number in India. I really must talk to you TOSHI.

YES, I agree with Kamal from NZ that Judges of AGNI gharana both Aadesh and Lalit are upto some conspiracy among its own singers. It was further witnessed last night when none of the Agni judges showed up to the stage when Toshi got eliminated.
I must blame Gajji also who even accepted that by allowing public to select the VOI was a grave mistake. I saw Gajji for the first time crying for any lost (Toshi).
Let’s all request Gajji to please bring Toshi back to the show and change the format of selection. Only, judges will have the final authority to eleminiate and/or select the singers. I am dead sure Toshi will be into the finals.
