Firstly, regardless of whether this is true or not, rumors of this kind should not be posted. I wish the moderator could have deleted this message.
a) If its true, then theres no fun in watching the show when we know whos gonna be eliminated.
b) And if the intention is to be an ass and spread a rumor, I dont understand what the motive can be. To receive comments like these? Only those watch shows like these who are interested in listening to some good music and they will watch no matter what the rumor is.
So pls. refrain from passing such spoilers (even if ur rumor is indeed true). This is a lame show in terms of selecting the Voice Of India. Pools are always gonna be disappointing and are sure to carry surprises. As rightly commented by others, to watch Toshi leave the show will be a big blow. Disaster.

Indeed if this shocking news is true,it will prove yet again that the voting public in India lacks the very basic musical sensibilities to cast their decisions…It has always been observed that regional biases and other superficial factors like looks etc are given precedence over singing abilities.Toshi has proved that he is an extremely versatile and sings both classical and contemporary songs with absolute finesse.It is a shame that the top two singers of the show viz Toshi and Aabhaas find a place in the bottom four…Do they still have anything to prove to the public…On the other hand,a singer like Ishmeet,who is visibly far inferior to most in the current group has always evaded Chakravat….Toshi ‘s ouster ,this early in the show, will indeed be a DISASTER

I agree with Srividya. Its a real real disaster. I thought Toshi,Irfan, Abhas & Priyani are going to be top 4 candidates. Harshpreet has a versatile voice. Its unfortunate to loose her. Harshit is a good singer but a copy cat.
In my opinion Ishmeet & Sumitra are the bottom 2.
If this news is true, Toshi might have lost the votes because of his vote appeal and not his singing. stressing Rajasthan in the previous episode

Biggest injustice with any contestants till now of any reality shows…..Toshi must be brought back…and for god sake please stop this SMS format..and have panel of expert judges like Jagjit Singh, Latadidi, Pt. Jasraj etc. who can really judger these talented boys and girls..and also they knows what is music….
I appeal very strongly to bring Toshi back….or get ready for low TRP…

I just can’t believe that Toshi is finally out as was informed in this blog. This is shocking and proves that singers can’t be chosen on SMS. People vote based on gender, looks, style, religion and state which is absurd. Toshi was the most consistent singer of all and was the best. VoI was the best amongst all shows on air right now but it will lose out if this absurdity continues. Toshi must be called back

this is the heights of eliminations that Toshi got eliminated. This is a great loss to the industry. I strongly feel that people are being carried away by emotional talks and the appearences of the contestents. Toshi was a consistently singing with clarity, in tune. As Alka Yagnik always says “sur bahut important hai aur kabhi sur nahi hilney chahiye” Toshi was an example in VOI for sur taal and was up to the expectation of the judges and also the whole of India. Toshi was always appreciated by every guest who comes to the episode. Please please please and please remove the public opinion….to avoid more damage to not only VOI but to the music talent of India. PLEASE REMOVE PUBLIC VOTES..LET THE JUDGES GIVE THEIR VERDICT….. once again PLEASE REMOVE PUBLIC VOTING FROM NOT ONLY VOI BUT ALL THE TALENT HUNT SERIALS ………….

Its such a shame! For me the program has ended today with the elimination of Toshi at such an early stage of the competition. He was one of the Strongest contenders of the competition, others being Sumitra and to an extent Harshit.
I am NOT going to watch a Single Episode of this joke of a competition. I am sorry Gajendra Ji, but you CANNOT talk of promoting talent and then run after money from SMSs at the same time! The same injustice had happenned with Vineet earlier but atleast he had reached the Final.
This series of SVOI is over for lakhs of music lovers. For the next series, do ensure that Judges ALSO have some role to play, in addition to SMSs! AND ONLY THEN YOU WILL BE JUSTIFIED IN SAYING THAT YOUR PROGRAM FINDS TALENT.

Today’s episode was a big slap on all music lovers….Mr. Gajendra singh indeed accepted that it was a mistake to bring in this voting system…(he was also very emotional about Toshi’s elimination). He has given singers like Kunal ganjewala and Shreya goshal to this music industry through his programs. this could happen because there were no pubilc voting system involved. We have had honorable judges like Zakir hussain ji, OP Nayyer ji, Shiv kumar sharma ji and many more who know music well.
According to today’s performances Abhilasha sang the best and as usual Lalitji couldn’t take it when Kunal appreciated that. Lalitji should remember that he is one of the judges….Grow up guys….Don’t behave like kids…. Be unbiased like Alkaji and Abhijeetji.
Aabas’s day was not good. He is an excellent singer , but couldn’t perform too well today and Prithvi’s judges didn’t comment on his singing since they know that he has been very good in all his previous performances. Why can’t Lalitji and Aadeshji learn from them. I thank Abhijeetji for his supporting and encouraging words for Toshi. Once again both these judges proved that they are true music lovers and appreciate true music.
According to me Irfan, Toshi, Aabas, Abhilasha and Harshit should in top five. Unfortunately 4 of them were in the bottom and to my shock Toshi was eliminated. If someone has to be eliminated it should be one among the rest of the four (Mirande, Sumitra, Priyani and Ishmeet). They are also good singers , but those( top 5 that I have mentioned earlier) five are the best and no doubt about it.
One main reason for Toshi’s elimination is Lalitji and Aadeshji. People have got so irritated with them which has resulted in his elimination. So, pls stop irritating people with ur inappropriate comments.
It is high time this voting system is dropped and I wud request Mr. Gajendra singh to get back the glory of his program by bringing good judges (unbiased) to the program and let the judges do the job. We don’t want to have any more heart attacks like this in future.

Oh GOsh!! It was such a awefull experience which could ever happen. I ant believe my eyes, i see all the top 2 singers tanding there in the bottom 2. TOshi and Abhas. it is very unjustice for music to eliminate Toshi from the show. The voting was just bulshit. he is not from a sounded family background who could puclicise about his singing and make apeal to people and also can buy the votes. These days people in competetion do vote themselves. The very simple reason is they have money. The main culprit ishmeet was sitting quite who was suppose to be out this time. Ishmeet, sumitra and Harshit should have been out than anyone else. this is just a bunch of nonsense. SVOI is loosing its credibility. believe me no one watches this show. this shows the intension of earning money out of the sms. Not to select the right voice out of this contest.
Dont spoil someone’s career and hur their emotions by letting showing down like this. Stop the voting system here. Guys after this its gonna be utter nonsense to watch this show. in todays world.
1. Classical music is getting outdated and people who like it and who sing are being reduced and such a talent like Toshi being out is a loss for music.
2. if People and talent like Toshi cant be recognised then our film insutry and music will be left with just screaming nothing else.

I am a very big fan of your Show-’voice of India’.I Have constantly been watching the prog. since it has began.But I and many more viewers of this show are very-very disappointed with your decision to throw ‘TOSHI’out?There is simply no reason to throw him out of this show.Who and how is the audience to judge such an important decision?No please ,if Abhilasha can be given another opportunity,then this is Toshi.Please I can challenge your whole team(Prithvi& Agni)can not defeat him even if put together! Well reasoned comments but do you really think that the competition holds any meaning after the elimination of the strongest contender at This Stage of the program?
The only way to ensure that the public feedback reaches the producers of the program is to STOP watching the program. Let the TRPs fall, let the money generated from SMSs fall and then the producers, who claim to be Seekers of Talent, will be forced to revert back to giving more powers to judges!

Its a real shock…i just opened my internet connection and was in search of the place where i can raise my voice about such injustice..i dont know why but i am feeling very sad..perhaps we indians are very emotional…but if by any chance Gajendra singh is reading this, then a message for him… “Please have courage to go agisnst channel and remove this SMS format….i know it gives a huge income to the show and channel but at the back of the mind you also know that this is very bad….have courage to say no to this format….for god sake….and trust me after Toshi, your TRP for show is going to come down….”

I watch all 3 music competetions and Star voice of india is far far better than Sa re ga ma which is far far far… better than Indian Idol 3. For me Indian Idol3 is like Sa re ga ma pa Little Champ the only difference being the little champs could sing better than the Indian Idol 3 contestants….
Now coming to something which i really wanted to write something is today’s elimination of VOI…..i feel Toshi is not only the best singer out of the 3 current music competions ( VOI, Sa Re ga ma and Indian Idol), for me he is the best ever to participate in all the music competitions conducted so far in the history of India…may be i got a little over excited…
but i could not believe TOSHI voted out of the competion…….
I only watched VOI for Toshi’s singing and performance. Not only this but i have watched all his vidoes from youtube several times and the more i watch it the more i like it……for me TOSHI is a winner and a STAR and this is just a start of a new beginning for TOSHI….I somehow get the feel that he will be back in VOI because he is already too big a talent to be left out of the competition at this stage……TOSHI.. see u soon performing in VOI……

I am really disappointed to see that Toshi is out. He was the best singer of VOI. Gajendra Singh should allow the judges to bring him back, and 60% weight should be given to the judges and 40% weight to the public voting. This will make sure no wrong decisions are made. And another thing, it should be made sure that the participants area of origin and religion and financial condition should be kept a secret. A lot of biasness occurs from these informations being aired on the show.
I would like to thank Abhijeetda for the gesture he made. I could not hold my tears. The other judges/mentors should also make sure that Toshi’s talent is not wasted just like that.
In Bangladesh there is a talent show called D’Rockstars in “Channel i”. They give 60% of the points to the judges and 40% is taken from the audience voting. This scoring system was introduced to stop other rival channels from manipulating the results by mass voting to the undeserving contenders. I think star plus should also follow a similar structure of scoring to stop the other rival channels from ruining their shows. In this way the channel and the producers of the show won’t lose money by stopping the sms voting but make sure that accidents like these doesn’t occur anymore.

I stopped watching Indian Idol & SaReGaMaPa because of lack in quality in those..& now with Toshi’s elimination this show too has become a well below par event….how come people could vote to Ishmeet, Sumitra & Mirande I cant understand…a request to people who vote to Ishmeet Sumitra Mirande just leave aside your regional feelings….this is not a wedding to choose a partner from your region to your loved ones…the subject under consideration is to choose the best voice for INDIA….if you cannot do it then you are no less different from militants/terrorists fighting for J&K , Assam etc….
I am sure & pray the Almighty that ARRahman listen to your voice & guide you…and the rest would be history….Gajji pls pls pls get Toshi back

Dear friends, It is a big shame on powers who are behind this drama, We all like toshi, because he is such a sincere person and very high talended, he never shows his family background to cry and beg public sympathy. his expulsion never shocked me as it was much expected, did you guys notice that the guy from punjab is well looked after, never fell in the danger zone, his sister called up on the show on rakhi episode. and if goes thru the top three or wind the competetion, it wont surprises me.
SO DONT BLAME PEOPLE FO VOTING. BLAME THE CRAB POWERS BEHIND THIS DRAMA. if you do a fair counting then I have no doubt Toshi`s votes will be higher than the total of five contestants.
Dear Toshi, you are the best of em all. best talent that poeple have ever seen on any of this talent shows. you have a class of legendaries like Jagjit SIngh, Nusrat Fateh Ali saab, Ghulam Ali, Hans Raj Hans etc.

Already I was getting sick of all personal remarks and cheap acts of some judges as well as contestants.
Toshi voted out is the last straw.

It’s a shame that Toshi was eliminated tonight. He was the only participant who actually had the passion for music as an art form. Unfortunately, the voters voted most for Sumitra, who’s repetoire is restricted to Usha Utthup impersonations. It’s tragic that people with a true passion for music will be deprived of Toshi.
I hope Abhijeet lives up to what he said, and that other music directors give Toshi a chance to sing for them.
I don’t see any point in watching VOI, because the real VOI has been eliminated tonight.

Not only is he the best singer, he is also the best performer. I was honestly disappointed, because of late Aadesh and Lalit have been all praise about other members of Agni like Aabhas and Harshit, but have been stingy with their words for Toshi. Something HAS to be done, or else the viewership of this show will just collapse. It’s easy to become a good singer, but to have the sort of soul that Toshi had in his voice, the kind that sends shivers down spines, that’s a one in a million voice. I honestly used to think more highly of the Indian public. I thought they would be more sensible than to eliminate the best singer! And that too with FAR less talented singers like Mirande and Ishmeet having secure positions? This is insanity.

Watching STARVOI yesterday and the result was completely unacceptable. A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his heart off to develop them into skills and uses these skills to accomplish his goals. To me Toshi is the winner.
What happened yesterday is the result of when you start measuring talents by the amount of success and money people make. Not only in India but this is an overall global scenario. This is very disappointing. I can see this is the beginning of the end for the Star VOI.
For Toshi what I can say that “Talent is like a muscle: without something to push against, it atrophies. So we deliberately put obstacles in our path – barriers that will inspire us. We disciple ourselves as to what to do, while we’re boundless as to how to do it.” We will always be there with you bro.. The one God loves the most has to go through the hardest test for sweeter results in the future.

I request to the producer of VOI that dont create a negative image not only about VOI but also about whole STAR PLUS. every one knows that TOSHI elimination will create a highly objectionale image people will lose there interest in VOI? Public votes are important we should respect public opinion but if some thing is wrong we should take corrective measures. the decision must have some weightage of judges opinion. I hope the concerned decision makers will take some immediate action on this biggesst issue for WORLD MUSIC.

Ok, SVOI is dead beat now after Toshi is gone. Frankly Toshi should not comeback so that people realise what they are missing and take these programs seriously. As far as SVOI being rigged, its impossible coz its being run by Gajendra Singh and I believe he has done a lot for Music. The only major problems i have with this show is the judges. Except Alkaji, none of the judges are fair. Abhijit comes close but sometimes is too demonstrative. The SVOI has made a big judgemental error in selecting the judges. They are at war among their own groups and music is suffering. At least its better than Indian Idol

Had been a straight follower of Gaju’s progrms from 90′s…And with Shaan too joining the show made me even happier. But now with the elimination of Toshi i have decided to stop watching any such talent hunts…. Wht is remaining in the show now? No more real competition…. I am Zulfiqar from Pakistan, Islamabad. Its indeed very very sad and unjust what we all saw at Star VOI last night. I just can’t believe i witnesses what happened with Tohi. Yesterday it was toshi next week it may be Aabhaas or Harshit but it will also be a disaster for not only Star VOI but for whole of the India and specially for the music and music lovers. I would like to appeal to judges to invoke their VETO power here and first of all re-instate Toshi and then eliminate this flawed format of Public Voting as it is not doing good for anyone. I was mad about this show not becuse Glamour or my own choice but because of the true spirit in which this show was aired right from the begining. Now it seems that all the spirit is gone and judges are made Dummies. I wept and wept all night yesteday not because a Muslim was Eliminated but because a true, pure and a genuine was made to quit for the crime that was never commited. Suddenly i have lost the will to enjoy the show and i am not even sure i would be able to watch tonigh’s episode. Till now judges used to say “Suroon se koi Samjhota nahin”. I must ask is it happening???? Can Star VOI judges stand by their words now???? Will they be able to bring back Toshi and prove their words were not mere words???? With due respect, I would like to have Answers to my Questions from the judges. Hope this platform will ask these questions from the respected judges on my behalf. They will have to come up with a strong and bold decision otherwise the fate of such talent hunt shows will be jeopradized. The decision is yours!!!!!!!!

Today is my birthday and I had never got such a worst gift in my 37 years of life but YES today Janta Janardhan gifted me with this WORST surprise that TOSHI got eliminated so early. He is a finalist if not the winner..
REASON,,,I know Lalit/Adhesh…u all know what I mean… with due respect for both of them as great composers, but guys, Adhesh even did not bother to come at the stage to condole Toshi,, you must realize whats is going on here..
Anyway, in my personal opinion and being an amateur singer, I was only watching VOI because of Toshi and M. Irfan but will never gonna switch to this program ever…not only because of TOSHI but because of injustice done with his unique talent… He is a sensational singer and especially, if anyone could sing pretty close to the legendary singer Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sb, he is TOSHI. I personally believe if any one who can come closer to Ustad Nusrat johnor, he is a true legendary VOI that is either Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sb or TOSHI MOHAMMAD.

I am speechless and at loss of words to express my anguish. Toshi was and will remain the best singer of SVOI. There is no way he should have been out of this show. Last year it was Vineet and this year it is Toshi. Both these examples proves that the concept of voting system is so flawed. Toshi was the most consistent and the best singer of the show and because of this stupid voting he is out of the show. I would request Gaj ji to stop this non-sense voting system and revert back to unbiased judges. Toshi we all love you and we are very confident that you will be India’s leading singer in 1-2 years.

man wat is wrong with ure ‘janta’ …… u voted out TOSHI … who was by far the best … if not the best then id say . .he was right up there with harshit ….. but toshiz voice was different …. he was the best candidate for this crown …. and u just let him go just like tht …. DISAPPOINTING to say the least … how could u ppl forget his “teri deewani … din dhal jaye … piya re … ” he sang these songs better than the original singers … beautiful voice and its a pity tht he was voted out with so many rounds more to go …. i dont knw who deserved to go out … but one thing im sure of n can say .. keh Toshi did not deserve to go AT ALL … this is totally unfair and a biased attitude … i agree with the above comment .. this show will definitely lose popularity … same has been the case with the other talent show “indian idol” .. due to some pathetic voting .. uve lost some of the best singers there as well … abhishek & deepali .. and the one girl who deserved to be voted out like 8-9 rounds before .. “ankita” is still up there contending with the last 4 for the title … this is a hilarious and a pathetic show of judgement to say the least …

Well Shaan keep saying “Sache Surro Ki Jay Jay Kar” infact now its “Stupid and Dumb Janta Ki Jay Jay Kar” It really Sucks .In my opinion Toshi was The Best,infact not Was He IS The Best and for Me he is Voice OF Indian.

There is no meaning of the term “Voice of India” if Toshi is out. Kunal Ganjawala is absolutely right……..jab se judgment janta ki pas gayi, it became completely unfair, the burning example is TOSHI. There should be some power from the judges side. Everybody will agree, TOSHI has the potential to win the talent hunt, and if he goes frm the stage so early, the person who will have the crown should not be properly judged, as TOSHI will not be there to compete. Please bring Toshi back to maintain the fame of SVOI. Its a plead frm all the audience across the world. Let him come back, If judges can reconcile their own decision to make Priyani back (which in my opinion is the most correct and praiseworthy), why not Toshi will get a second chance. Please do whatever, to make Toshi back. We all want to see Toshi on the stage again.

very disappointing… Toshi… the brightest star of voi is no more in the competition.. It is really shameful for our local people in India who really don’t give a damn about the talent.. The voting system is nothing but to make money out of Telecommunication system. It ruins the careers of these talents.
Once again I would like to say we all will support Toshi from overseas. Its no more fun to watch this show without him.

Toshis dismissal is a disgrace to the judges and to Gurinderji who started this program. Though the judges & the organizer cried & spoke their heart out, they have done nothing to get Toshi back!!
Why cant u the organizer & the judges think for ONCE- that if the Indian public was so good & fair in their judgment then they wouldn?t always make the mistake of selecting the wrong people (as this is evident from politics to star shows), and hence would select the right people. This just goes to proof that once again the Indian public has voted more for the wrong people and not for somebody who actually is an exceptional singer. Toshi is born a playback singer, and if we from Australia and other parts of the world were allowed to vote he would have got the highest votes with sumitra. Gurinderji & the Judges we hope you would over rule this vote out and get Toshi back, as he deserves true justice and I hope u get justice soon and not late as it generally does happen in India.

The people like Mr. RAM (who posted his comment on 2 Sept) are the main culprit. These kind of fool only can send SMS to make TOSHI out. I want RAM’S e-mail ID due to restriction I can’t write here what I want to write.
SUMITRA, AABHASS (bad) and HARSHIT are not at all a GOOD singer. They are orchestra singer. They should out first but they will remain safe till the end.
The SMS are not the only reason to make TOSHI out but to make competition easier for HARSHIT. As HARSHIT is favourite of 3 judges (Adarsh, Jatin & Lalit).
Now next Abhilasha, Priyani and Irfan because they r also a good singer who are better than HARSHIT…..there r much possiblity of mirande or ishmit to eliminate this week…..just c the VOI and u can easily understand. The whole drama is to make HARSHIT a winner.

I like toshi bcoz He is a hard worker, good voice , deep study in every songs. and try to show his talent in a beautifull manner.But the judges and SMS bloody ” people”( i think this judge panels are too weak) are not concentrate his voice or skills. Get over it folks. This is all a setup. If Toshi had to go, so be it. In any case, he was as good as the rest on a given day. Most of you are following a herd mentality. Be rational and think as to why he had to go.
Treat these so called “reality based” competitions as entertainers and no more. You will get to enjoy and appreciate all the singers better than taking extreme views.

I think that there is a need of making groups like Super 8 in Cricket Worldcup. Then put this on public voting. Judges decide the right order of singers 1 2 3.. and then 1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5. Puplic votes, which one is the best of two and then the winner singers should be brought forward. This will be less harmfull in case of public voting

Yesterday (8th Sept) Episode showed some hopes of Toshi’s return when Alka Yagnik proposed three names that can re enter the show through wild card (or some method). Could any body advice where that kind of polling will take place.
I appeal to all readers that please vote for Toshi. Priyani and Ishpreet are not bad singers at all but Toshi deserves among these three.

THE UGLY FARCE OF REALITY SHOWS!!!!
I am sure you smart people must have all guessed it by now, that the Star VOI is staged to the hilt.
lets take a look at the following glaring events
1. the infamous exit and entry of Alka Yagnik, who seemed to have swallowed her deeply hurt pride and returned as if she is doing a favour to the contestants
2. There is deep favourtism in the contest. On the Sept 8th, see the videos of Harshit again. there are 2 stages-first when he sang, the voice rocked. now when the audience asked him ‘ONCE MORE’ then there was a distinct drop in voice quality, the hapless singer even forgot the words. shaan saved some embarassment by prompting the words for him. WHY WHY WHY, DOES GAJENDRA SINGH THINK HE CAN FOOL AN DISCERNING AUDIENCE???
3. Earlier when sumitra once sang, the same issue came up. In china, if singers cheat during live singing by lips synching, its a crime and punishable.
4. Lacs of voters are donating their hard earned money to make the judges, star tv and gajendra singh richer. and they are shamelessly cheating the public with least regard for singers
5. the exit of toshi is a farce too. how can they have separate rules for contestants. now they want another sms campaign to choose between toshi, harshpreet, and priyani. this means MORE MONEY FOR THE PROGRAM PRODUCERS’
Now we still watch the program just for the sake for some great singing happening, atleast its better than watching the scum of the earth-saas bahu soaps

Toshi needs to back ! Else its going to make it obvious that its all being staged and biased. Toshi is the only guy who is talented, consitent and popular. so i guess he was made out to ease the way for all other favourites.
The organisers and judges should realise that if they dont bring Toshi back, they might loose their viewers and TRP ratings .
