TIME FOR A GREAT NEWS…
Okay, people, this seems confirmed. IRFAN has topped the votes this time, despite all that nonsense Lalit said to him last week. I bet this Friday’s episode will be worth watching, even if it brings up the sad moment of Abhaas’ farewell. Good luck, kiddo, you were great!
This shows how the public is much stronger and more influential than anyone – especially the wrong decisions of the judges.

SAD…It was not the time for him yet. He should have been there till the semifinals. I really think it should have been Ishmeet or sumitra. I also think that after TOSHI, Harshit is the strongest contender. My top three are still HARSHIT, IRFAN, ABHILASHA.

Though I am sad that Abhas will be eliminated this week, it is great to hear that IRFAN got the maximum number of votes. This proves that public has still not lost their sanity. Chocoholic, I agree with you as well..IRFAN is the best and we all should try our best that he becomes VOI as he is truly deserving. I would then like to see Mr. Lalit’s face if he becomes VOI. Everybody is disliking Harshit’s family drama,so I guess he is losing more votes rather than gaining some. But guys, UP being the biggest state of India, I wont be surprized if Harshit wins.. I feel bad for Abhas as he is really talented. This is so unfair that Sumitra and Ishmeet are still there and these more talented contestants are getting eliminated. As Samrat said, I wont be surprized either if the most undeserving contestant becomes VOI, I will be really sad though..
Regarding Priyani, even I feel that she was the best singer amongst all girls and she was eliminated. Abhilasha has great voice. She is gifted with this beautiful voice but she needs more learning to make best use of it.
If Toshi comes back, it will be interesting to see Irfan competing with Toshi. I think both have their unique singing quality. BUT PEOPLE, LET US ALL TRY OUR BEST TO MAKE SURE THAT IRFAN WINS!!! ( Again, this is my personal opinion. You’ll can think otherwise)

The sad part is that, the internet voting is not working from past few weeks. The people who are in abroad cannot even vote. I know a considerable section of people here in US who votes regularly and having problem. I just cannot believe Aabhas is out. I wonder what happened to the voters of India….This voting process is disgusting. The show has lost its credibility.

Oh come on, people, you still think public voting is effective? I don’t even think people’s votes are being counted. I mean, everyone seems to want Sumitra to be out, and I’m sure all those people don’t vote for her. Yet she stays!
Looking at Toshi go was what had made me suspicious about how much the public votes are being made use of (if at all!) and how much the judges/organisers have a role to play in this.
Anyway, we must vote for IRFAN and ABHILASHA – only they deserve to be there at the top two. ISHMEET is good, but IRFAN and ABHILASHA are better.

Irfan is the best male voice and Abhilasha has got natural talent, she’s the BEST singer among the females and deserves to go all the way to the final.

Abhilasha, Irfan and Harshit – these three have fantastic voices and they deserve to be at the top 3 and then whoever could get extra support should become the VOI. Personally, I would be very happy to see ABHILASHA as the VOI.

If u guys read my previous comments on VOI, I said that it’s not a talent hunt show, but it is a MONEY HUNT SHOW. I happened to watch Sa re ga pa and Indian Idol. I think Sa re ga ma has more worth in Bolly Wood Industry because even loosers are ebing signed by Bollywood Music Compsers.
As far as VOI is concerned, Gajendra Singh has good reputation in shows like this. The way he finalised the voting format, was a VER VERY Clever move. By doing this, thay can actually manupilate with the voting and BIAS JUDGES will not stand responsible for their personal choices, but PUBLIC will stands responsible. They’l very cleverly defends themselves that Public has voted and judges has nothing to do with it. Wel guys, I can bet my life that they are manupilating votes, FOR SUE, and I can prove with the Logic. Main Logic is that Toshi and Priyani are out and Sumitra and Ishmeet are still surviving.
Actually what I think is that Toshi and Priyani will be back in Wild Card entry and they’l compete with Irfan, Harshit and Abhilasha in the final shows. I’m sure Sumitra wil stay in last 4 and Ishmeet will be eliminated. By doing this, they’ll have margin of manupilating again with the votes.
GUYS, I STRONGLY APPEAL TO PEOPLE WHO ARE IN INDIA AND VOTING THROUGH THEIR PHONE, PLEASE STOP VOTING FOR SUMITRA AND ISHMEET, By doing this, they’l have less option to paly with the votes. PLEASE , THIS IS THE TIME TO SUPPORT FOR REAL TALENT.

I know with voting schemes like this there is plenty of scope for manipulation and I would tend to agree with ateeq that probably some sort of manipulation game is going on. But I was wondering whether there is any 3rd party acting as independent auditors or book keepers who keep track of these vote counting task and give the results in sealed envelopes to the show organizers. Any info on that?

I heard Lathaji’s comment in one of the news channels yesterday.yes.she was right in saying that public voting is not a genuine way of selecting as good contestents might get eliminated.gajenderji,please note.r y not ashamed of this?have u earned enough at the cost of some lovely singers?what a shame!!!!your public voting stinks across all continents!!!!!!!MY dear voters pl do not vote further.it is fooling with your money.pl donate to some charity organisation.

Hi, guys I am in full agreement with u all regarding the appeal to the general mass for votes for Harshit and playing up his family background for the same. Let the deserving candidate win sans his background and let the votes be for talent and nothing else. Lalit had better stop putting down Irfan after such a wonderful performance. No wonder he emerged the topper this week. Goes to show that people have a mind of their own and can judge by themselves. Good going Irfan, keep it up. I sure do hope u stay there to the end. And Sumitra, what a pitiful rendering of such a lovely number as “Jahan pe savera ho.” Really! Loss of Abhaas is of course a shock. I think people are just getting at Lalit and poor Abhaas is paying the price for being in the Agni team!

I think MIK should not be so harsh for any of the participants, I agree that Abhaas should have not been out at this stage, the otgoing participant was Sumitra as she cannot sing soft and classicals, she can only sing item nos.I dont understand how public is voting what things they are seeing in the participants.I think this time is Sumitra to be out.

Till such time a more robust formula [like 2/3 weight from public voting and 1/3 from judges points] is established, which I don’t think Gajendra Singh would adopt right now (as VOI is in progress), there will always be problems like elimination of deserving candidates and scope for manipulation. So, for the time being at least, I guess, we have to live with the situation and hope that future contests like these be conducted with these points in mind. I agree with all who feel that it’s time for Sumitra to get eliminated. She can sing only a select genre of songs – she doesn’t have the versatility to sing all classes of songs with confidence and hence she should not be in the top four.

Abhaas out!!! That is just ridiculous, especially when incompetant people like Ishmeet, Abhilasha and Sumitra are still in. Talented singers are in the following order:
Toshi > Harshit/Abhaas > Priyani > Ashpreet > …..Irfan > Sumitra > Abhilasha > Ishmeet
The so called “singers” who should have been voted out by now are Ishmeet the first one, followed by Abhilasha, then Sumitra then Irfan. I am surprised that Abhilasha is still there. She is overly pampered by all the judges (Alka Yagnik standing besides her on the stage while she sang, Sulakshna Pandit standing besides her so that she can sing etc). She is the over-pampered, over-hyped “Teacher’s Pet”. Irfan is pretentious almost like Sumitra and Abhilasha (remember Abhilasha’ dram on stage when she suddenly stopped singing -”…pata nahi kya hua..” and alka yagnik telling her – “even if you forget the song dont worry, carry on, you will get sympathy vote from public”. Irfan is boring and thinks that he is a great singer, but actually he isnt. Sumitra is just a pretty face, and ok voice but her strength is manipulation of judges by choosing “item” songs. Guys Abhilasha, Ishmeet, Sumitra and Irfan are curses on quality singers. They should be thrown out of the competetion irrespective of votes. This competition is becoming very much like American Idol – remember the stupid, embarassing and incompetant Sanjaya stayed in the race much longer than he ever could have deserved.

Okey, i don’t understand, why you people take it serious, as this is all about money. Star & Gajendra doing it for money, there aim is not to hunt talent. Well, i can guess that even first indian idol hasn’t been successful so far to sing more than 10 songs since he has been in industry. Infact, whoever wins, doesn’t make so much differences, as there are 3-4 shows going on with same objects and that’s not the end of story as it’s not after10 or 12 years, it’s after every 6-7 months.

I agree with Avanish that star is out there only to make money. Talent is not what they are looking for. That’s why bad quality singers like Sumitra, Abhilasha, Irfan and Ishmeet are still around. I have been listening to classical indian music for ages and can easily tell who is trained (and who is keen to be trained) v/s who is faking it (Abhilasha, Irfan, Sumitra). All three are scumbags. Next one to go should be Abhilasha, then Sumitra then Irfan. But rest assured this wont happen, because as Avanish said its not about talent. So these scumbags will stay while talented singers will be eliminated. Actually I think I am purposely going to keep voting for Abhilasha, Irfan and Sumitra and most of all for Ishmeet. Let the worst people rule and relieve talented singers of their misery. I really hope Ishmeet wins – that will be a mockery of the entire show. Tell you what will happen – Harshit, Toshi and possibly Abhas will really go a long way in playback singing – even if they lose this stupid competition, while Abhilasha, Irfan and Sumitra will be lost in oblivion in no time even if they win this competition.

I have reading these comments since a very long time, but finally someone had the wisdom to put things in good perspective. I am also a trained in classical music and born and brought up in a musical family and hence can understand the quality of voices (especially in Playback mainstream music), dedication (or as Prashant said keeness)and I too can understand if someone is faking it. I am quite happy that someone finally critiqued Abhilasha, Irfan, and Sumitra (you can ignore Ishmeet – as he should not even be in this competition). I can very easily tell that all these three participants are PRETENDERS – MORE DRAMA THAN TALENT. They should have been out long ago. No one is expecting classical music expertise as this is all about playback music, but there should some good base in classical music for a successful playback singer. But most important is the honesty and dedication of a singer to learn more and NOT FAKE it NOT TAKE SYMPATHY VOTES, as this only demostrates the weakness of their character. Abhilasha always tries to ride on a sympathy vote. I totally agree with Prashant that she is over-pampered and over-hyped. She should be out. Irfan is too trite and common-place singer (nothing special about him). Sumitra used to be good, but I think success has gone into her head very quickly and she is on a slippery slope. Although Harshit does not sing difficult songs, he has a true playback singer voice. Need to see a bit more variety from him though. Toshi is the best and as Jagjit Singh told him (…accha gaaya, original se bhi accha gaya). Jagjit Singh was also not happy that Abhilasha suddenly stopped singing on the stage because she forgot etc. He told her – this will not work, you get only one chance. But as Avanish and Prashant said – this competition is not about talent, its about who is the teacher’s pet and that is Abhilasha, its about who DOES NOT deserve to win – i.e. Irfan, Sumitra and Ishmeet. And I totally agree with Prashant – since the best have already been eliminated, lets vote for the worst of all – lets vote for Ishmeet and hope the final 3 are Ishmeet, Abhilasha and Irfan. THat will be a real mockery.

Have u guys seen today’s episode where Abhas got eliminated? SHAME ON SUMITRA. She should have given way to talented singers like Abhas. I don’t understand why can’t Judges have their say at these kind of blunders. Jatin Lalit delivers a very nice lecture (like he is coontesting for MP!!!) but his words are not effective at all. It’s just to win publics sympathy and that’s it. I’m curious that Adesh is very quite these days, there must be a mystery behind his silence.

Well Sangeeta seems to be more of harshit fan , but let me tell , by not being biased harshit copies , where irfan doesnt , he has his own quality voice and abhilasha sings classic songs far more better than the latka jhatka songs , she is far more talented then any female singer as she is not monotonous in singing her pitch changes so much , i know if i would be in india , i might have become voi (
) but from the contestant remaining its irfan or abhilasha i think r best and than harshit , if you count toshi in than no chance of any one else than top 3 would be toshi , irfan and abhilasha

I fully agree with what ‘Addicted’ says and I also would like to mention here that Sangeeta (even though she claims to have classical music background) somehow fails to spot the real talent in Abhilasha. Abhilasha HAS the desired voice quality and she IS NOT pretender or creating drama. May be Abhilasha still has to gain some maturity but she definitely has full range and exceptional voice quality. As of now the top three should be Irfan, Abhilasha, Harshit, in that order, IMHO.

Abbas was verasatile but not a great singer as hyped by the Partisan Judges!
But I am shocked useless, less than ordinary singers are still in the contest just because the state they belong to are so unified and voting for him/her hands on! which is definetly not based on any merits at all.
I have my own views which I feel will be on merit.
1) Harshit(for his cinematic Voice) should be number 1 or two
2)Abilaasha has got a good sweet voice which can be trained to a melodic,sweet and entralling!
She should be Number#1 or two,
3)Irfaan has got a dynamic entertaining voice which can appeal to young India! Should be within number three!
Sumitra should be comfortable and content with number 4
AND… yes … Ishmeet should defintely get eliminated the next round based on his singing talents which is so less compared to many others;He should have been the first to get elminated in the Bemisaal Barah!
Gajendra Singh is only helping creating a diverse “vOICE OF India “by the way these candidates are voted based on State,Religon,Language etc ..

He does not seem to take note of the Public outcry this program has created..
He better do it fast before this program gets a ugly shape of being titled the worst!
He never seems to accept or research “views” of viewers and is rather not concerned about them!!
In this forum I and many have suggested so many formats could be adopted to elminate outcry and create a system of retaining best singing talents based on their style of singing!
But who listens! !

I guess that the show has reached at such a stage that any elimination hurts…but let us be pragmatic in our critical appreciations of the participants.Unfortunately the remaining participants are being judged in the views above not by their voice qality alone (which should carry maximum weight in judgement) but by other factors which in the world of playback singing dont matter at all….dont judge by looks or get biased by regional torrents.Toshis’ elimination is an example of such biases.If this elimination was correct then yes, Ishmeet should be sent out as chakravaat,and if not then lets enjoy and pray that the best voice wins the crown.

I am really surprised to see some of the comments which say that Irfan and Abhilasha cannot sing. We dont want imitation of kumar sanu or kishor kumar here. We need some originality and i think both irfan and abhilasha have that in them. I dont say that others r not good singers. but these two are the best of the contestants who are left.
Let us appreciate music without being biased to anyone. Abhilasha might have done mistakes in the past. It can happen to anyone. When the person is young and new, he / she tend to get tensed and forget the lines. This was not done to get sympathy votes. Instead she has been in the bottom four for the past six weeks. Now she has become more confident and she is singing very well. Irfan has got his own unique voice. He does justice to his job(singing). Let us not see how the person dresses up or how he/she looks. Let us close our eyes and listen to good music and enjoy.
According to me it should be Irfan, Abhilasha and Harshit who should the top three. But after this point, no one can do anything since everything depends on smses. Some one has to go everyweek which is inevitable. So, instead of getting too much into technicality, let us sit back and enjoy the music.

Addicted, Neel and Chocoholic – I am not a Harshit fan (I have said Harshit needs to show more variety, but has a true playback voice – listen to how well he sang Tu Hi Meri Shab hai and listen on headphones, you will notice the power of his voice – what he has yet to demonstrate is variety and singing difficult songs). You claim Abhilasha lacks maturity but has a spotless voice – Let me tell you – we are voting for the best and best should not have so many buts (excuse the punn). Abhilasha was pardoned twice for her “SLIPS”, she has to be pardoned for her lack of maturity – now tell me who is biased? She might have a good voice quality, but she is not ready to win this round of competition. She can train, gain some confidence and come back in next season (if there is any). Right now as it stands she is not ready and should be eliminated. Irfan has an extremely monotonous voice, although I agree that he has a slightly more trained than Abhilasha. Those who say Irfan and Abhilasha should be top two have seriously missed the plot! Anyways, as it stands, good singers have already being eliminated leaving the worst behind. It doesnt really matter now who wins as whoever does, it will be the worst of the worst, hence perhaps Ishmeet should win. And by the way, I am classically trained and yes I might have missed some lessons, but I am glad I missed those lessons if they were going to teach me that listless people like Abhilasha and Irfan should be on top.

It will be real fun to see Ishmeet win – that will be a parody and a straight slap on the concept of public voting instead of judges’ decision. Vote for Ishmeet guys. He must stay. VOTE FOR ISHMEET! VOTE FOR ISHMEET! If the best cannot win, then the worst should – it should be either zero or one. Mediocrity (Irfan and Abhilasha and Sumitra) is a crime on humanity. Three cheers for Ishmeet!

Just to let you know that, gaj ji has been successful in just doing what he wanted. The motto behind “Toshi” drama was more sms, which meant more money. Now by kicking Abbhas out, the motto has become clearer as people will now ask for Abbhas comeback. Surely true genuine singers have been lost but if any music directors or producers have watched this program. Toshi and Abbhas will get there chances.
And secondly if i am wrong and toshi comes back, still i dont think it would be fair, at this point of stage. In case he come back it is going to be unfair for Abbhas, Priyani, Arshpreet coz there is only 5 people remaining now.
So i appeal to the public to stop voting if there fav contestant has been eliminated, coz that is only to make you guys sms again to bring them back, which help them earn crores.

Im a Toshi fan and the show doesnt really appeal to me till he gets back…but Sangeeta if u feel that Harshit has such a great singing voice and Im assuming that you have heard the song on headphones…well in that particular song…he messes up the lyrics…and the guy has a LISP…can no one else pick it up or do I just dont like his singing…Im serious I think he has a lisp and has difficulty pronouncing the words…??? ..and he has NOTHING orignal to offer…
Abilasha, has a great voice and within a few years she will make her mark…the girl is only 17..shes bound to slip up here and there..(not a big fan of hers ) but still u gotta give credit just for her voice..
Harshit wouldnt even be there is Adesh and Lailt didnt vote for him…OR bring his drama into the show to promote him…
Irfan is the best of the remaining…the guy gives 100% and the only 1 who tries different numbers…his voice is so different, he doesnt copy anyone so I guess hes the only other contender for Harshit, and hence the reason why lalit picked on him last week…
Ishmeet…the guy should have just gone home when he had a tummy bug in the beginning..
Abhas was an average singer..he was wayy over hyped..
No comments on Sumitra…BUT seriously when is the wild card show……….when are they gona bring the VOI back into VOI…

I totally agree with anjani. harshit, though he has a good voice, does indeed have a lisp and he can sing only a particular type of song: the slowish more melodious numbers.
Irfan, on the other hand, though he has a less powerful voice has successfully presented a variety of songs: both classical and faster numbers.
And while I do agree that Abhilasha cannot win the title (the 2 slips she made have to be taken into account, especially as it is a competition) but her voice is delightful and she knows exactly how to modulate it. I believe also that it is amazing how she has a feel for the mood of each song she presents. It comes through every time she sings. In addition, she is pretty versatile. She has come up with songs like “aao huzur”, “Tu chanda”, mehlon ka raja” “mehboob mere” etc, each requiring a different touch and has done a great job. And as a person trained in classical music like Sangeetha, I think I am qualified to say this.
As for Abhaas, it’s a pity the lad is out before Ishmeet. He has got a wonderful voice and a feel for whatever he sings. He also has picked some very difficult numbers and sung them immense success.

It was shocking to see that ABHAAS was eliminated yesterday. He was the best of the lot and I was expecting the finals between ABHAAS and HARSHIT.
That kid was the only one who was able to pull out all of Rafi songs with dexterity
With Toshi and ABHAAS gone, AVOI has become weak show, rather watch only SA RE GA MA.

glad to see some unbiased comments. Agree with Anjani. I am not saying Harshit is the best, but amongst what the leftover lot, I think he is best. Irfan is boring and lacks versatality. I hated his Om Shanti Om and none of his other songs left an impression on me and several others I watch the show with. Abhilasha shouldnt win (if Abhilasha was taking CAT for IIMs and she said to the teacher -”pata nahi I just stopped, I dont know why…” and if the teacher told her “its ok go for the sympathy vote”.. what would 3 lakh students taking the test feel – there would be riots in India, and IIMs would be forced to disqualify Abhilasha. She can take the test next year and if he tops then, its fine, but its totally unfair to other candidates who are equally or better talented than Abhilasha. Abhilasha has got to go. She has already recieved an unfair advantage and yet she is coming the bottom 4 each and every week. She has to go. If she stays next week, then I would rather Ishmeet win.

well said neel, addicted and to somne extent sujatha. sujatha what do u mean by saying abhilasha cannot win the title since she slipped up twice ? come on give her a break, she’s just 17 and any 17 year old could have some stage jitters participating in front of bollywood actors and celebrities. look how much she has matured now,she’s sung “mehboob mere, mungda, khwahisho se, ude jab jab zulfe teri, pal pal, aa jaane jaa, mai re me kaise kahu, rani beti raaj karegi, and ek mein aur ek tu with classic accuracy and natural talent. i agree with you when you say that it is amazing how she has a feel for the mood of each song she presents. She deserves to be in the final in my honest opinion.

Well, Sangeeta, I don’t like commenting on other’s opinion, but, do say nice things about your favorites and leave the worst(according to you). As it is, this show has lost its charm and it’s out of habit, people are still continuing to watch.
For me Irfan is versatile and he sings good. His Dil Se was excellent and so are his other songs. Abhaas has sung some songs very nicely especially, Yuhi Chala(Swades). Not everyone can sing every song well. They are still trying to come out of their weaknesses and grooming under those judges(well, I do not have any high regards for Lalit(for his nasty comments)and to some extent Aadesh for keep on promoting people).
But, if Irfan and Abhilasha are not your favorites, leave them alone. Abhilasha sometimes surprises me with her songs and sometimes her immaturity shows. As Abhijeet says, if they have correct people to guide, they will become flawless singers. But, give them a chance and I am sure, they deserve that much.

Well who is better was diff part,it would come out after short while, but it was disgusting to have such comment by this mature(?) person. Had he read Sumitra’s face that time? If u have choosen public to be judge let them decide or change the structure of program.
I will not say Sumitra is better than Aabhas because it was really difficult dicision, we cant forget the songs sung by Sumitra also n aabhas is too good. But i dont like such a rubbish comments by Mr.Jatin…….

Well most of freinds saying that Sumitra can sing one type of songs only. i will say these people to watch previous song clips.She has choosen very difficult songs n has sung them beautifully, with a prompt voice.I am agree with the fact that she is choosing one type of songs after ‘dhoka dhoka was hit’.but her talent can be seen listening her entry level songs.AAbhas was too good, but i am agree with Mr.Farmaan that Aabhas was very overconfident loosing the right track but he was still better than one/two of these five but not than Sumitra. Lets watch the program till the end. I dont know who will be the winner but Sumitra will proove her talent definately….

In fact, I think she does amazingly well for her age and i have been voting for her consistently but when push comes to shove, this is a competition and tho’ it seems unfair, her ability or inability to handle the pressure is bound to affect her chances at winning at the title.

Irfan – a lot of you say sings different songs and has his “own style”. I dont really care if he has his own style or someone else’s style. But he fails to cast an impression. He is mundane and boring and dull. Abhilasha should go yaar. I agree with Sangeeta – you get a chance only once and Abhilasha is over-priviledged to recieve two chances and over caring teachers. She is the only reason Toshi was out. Remember it was Toshi, and Abhilasha – amongst them, Abhilasha should have gone, but she snatched the sympathy vote, while Toshi was honest and simple and flawless (remember guys – Toshi never forgot his lyrics, yet he was ousted, while incompetant immature Abhilash survived!) Abhilasha, Irfan and Ishmeet are the Sanjaya of Star VOI.

Guys, I am not a trained and I dont know anything about classical music. I am a common person and I only know if some voice holds my attention or not. To me, Toshi sounds the best followed by Harshit and Sumitra. Abhaas is good also. I feel Abhilasha has a good voice quality but she does not deserve to win this time as it is unfair and I agree that she was the reason Toshi was kicked out. Irfan is mortally boring and I dont really like his voice. I am with Isha Koppikar in saying that Irfan did not throw himself into the song, and its not just this time, it was always – he has a half hearted effort. But I dont really care now who wins or loses, because the best are already out and its only time before Harshit goes as well – its a lottery game biased towards the Khota sikka (Ishmit, Abhilasha, Irfaan)

For those who mentioned about Irfan is not good, u people should not comment here if you don’t know abc of singing. It doesn’t mean that if you don’t like Irfan’s voice he is not good singer, come on people grow up, those who know and understand atleast or more abc of singing have voted Irfan and Irfan was the record breaking highest voting this week. Toshi, Abhas and Irfan are the only learned singers in all VOI, and others just know only singing without sur like our Sardar with no Sur, Panwala Harshit even cannot pronounce word properly, always have difficulty saying words, and yesterday he forgot the song three times and another song one time. and the female singers should go home, because only good female singer who was working hard was Priyani. I hope in the Wildcard entry Toshi and Priyani comes back to the show. Then again the show becomes more interesting. But the Agni Judges stick their eyes only on Panwala Harshit. Maybe they will play politics and try to eliminate Toshi again.

Ok to start off with I think there’s immense talent in this show…but I wonder if its got anytin to do with talent…I think its about the MONEY and just that. Imagine with a population of 1 billion in our country and millions abroad, if we take a figure of 5 lakh smses(which I think is a very small number) per episode or even less, the producers and the television channel along with the service providers earn about 15 lakh in Indian currency cos per service msg in India is 3 bucks. I am just writing this once cos I want people to realize that its just a fools game. Personally, I think TOSHI, IRFAN, ABHAAS,PRIYANI and to a certain extent HARSHIT are/were the best voices in this show and these bloody f*%#$ mentors or judges say all kinda shit about feeling sad but the fact is that no one cares!!! If anyone remembers VINIT from SA RE GA MA PA then they will realize that talent in India just goes to waste.He has not been used as a playback singer till date when so many people had promised him so much. You need the money first and then the talent.

Gajendra’s (I’m intentionally leaving out the “Jee” here. No point saying it now…) program “Used To Be” an awesome musical talent hunt once. However, that was ages ago.
Once he came out with the SMS voting system, he has become like “Uncle Scrooge” of Walt Disney, who sees nothing else but ways to make more and more money. I mean after shedding corodile tears when Toshi got eliminated and claiming that he was ashamed for introducing the SMS voting, he has the guts to ask for VOTING AGAIN for Toshi/ Priyani/ Ashpreet!!! How much real low can one sink?! If nothing else, this drama proves the crassness of SVOI and the show’s producers!
This guy has been cleverly packaging his shows as a “Sacchein Suruon Ki Khoj” but this time around, with the elimination of Toshi, people’ve started realising the hollowness of this claim. In case of VINIT, altough large scale manip of voting was self evident for that worthless Debojeet, there atleast was this consolation that Vinit managed to reach the finals!
I really feel that SVOI producer has finally killed the Goose that had been laying golden eggs! I myself’ve stopped watching the show since last few episodes and am sure quite a lot of people feel the same way about SVOI.

First of all its “STAR PLUS”. So dramas has to happen in the shows too.
Secondly, the Wild card entry show is going to be conducted today Sunday, Sept 23 at 11:00 pm. And judges not the present ones but other big names in music industry are going to decide which two persons should be brought back. I am seriously thinking they are Toshi and Aabhas or Toshi and Priyani.
Still i am praying for the best one to win. I personally like Toshi and Abhilasha.
One thing about these kind of shows in India is that they dont let the female singers to win. Or is it fate?
But i seriously think that there should two winners; one male and one female. For this discrimination to end.
Lets hope for the best.

Well Sangeeta and others whoever thinks Irfan and Abhilasha are not good singers must tune their ears or need to learn about singing which can take years so better tune their ears, dont know why they feel abhilasha is getting sympathy votes , you know last time lalit also committed that irfan sung real good though he knew that he was always a good singer and singing very well when there was no agni and prithvi every judge praised irfan and abhilasha and now lalit and aadesh being biased. Abhijeet was biased in first few episodes , but changed his behaviour just beacuse he get to know that best singer should win and he begged to bring toshi back though he is from agni , and one more thing , abhijeet and alka are singers and they know how well one sings , i must commit no singer in this competition is like rafi , kishore (“though harshit tries to copy but never can”) but really abhilasha has slight touch of lata (again not comparing but her voice is real good). Priyani was getting better than abhilasha but she was eliminated. really it will be nice if both sings now as abhilasha is showing maturity , it will be good for the sake of competition.

Hello Friends, I am back in forum since I believe things have become worse from bad. Yesterday episode was the worst of all the episodes so far. Normally standard improves as any such competition progresses. Look at Indian Idol, toward the end contenders improved a lot. In this competition exactly opposite is happening. Who should be blamed? We public of course. Because real singers are demoralized after elimination of Toshi, Priyani and Aabhash. They know it is just public voting drama (and may be some behind the scene gafla) is going to make them or break them and not their singing quality.
I again request everyone that Sumitra and Ishmeet are the weakest contenders but Ishmeet has improved a lot in comparison with Sumitra. Sumitra is still there for her look, style and latka-matka. Standard of show is gone down because of her and she must be eliminated. People wake up and make sure she is out before this program goes to level Antakhsrai Junior. Also other day Sumitra gave so much disgrace to Nituji. First Sumitra went to Rishi and requested him to come to stage. When Rishi refused and asked her to go to Nituji. When Nituji also refused she kept insisting and trying to convince Nituji that she wants learn few dancing steps from her. If that is the case why did she went to Rishi at first place. I guess once Nituji refused she must not force and take advantage of Nituji being humble. Sumitra just wanted to bring Nituji so that she can get some cheap publicity and not because she really respects Nituji. Shame on you Sumitra. I hope we will not see you next episode onward.

THE WILD CARD ROUND:
The wild card round was held yesterday in Amul Star Voice of India . It was meant to pave the way for two of the contestants to enter the Star Voice of India again .
The seven contestants who got the chance of singing once before the esteemed panel of judges comprising of Khyyamji, Parvin Sultana, Anandji, Rabindra Jain were -
Toshi, Priyani, Abhas, Prantik Sur, Prantika Mukherjee,Mirande Shah, and Ashpreet Kaur.
After the initial group performance, Priyani started the show singing “Honto pein aisi baat ” from the film jewel thief.
All the judges unanimously agreed that public voting is not the right way of searching talent. Khyyam saab, after the performance of Toshi, said quiet bitterly” Talent to dhundna public ka kaam nehi hai ” …Very true….:(
But this wild card entry in Amul Star Voice of India was not untouched by controversy. When the top five contestants were asked how they feel about this wild card entry Abhilasha and Panwala Harshit told that it is not the right decision as it will create pressure on them and there should be only one format !! Well, their view is echoed by many viewers who think that it is unfair for Gajendra Singh to give more chance to the eliminated participants . After all only one format has to be maintained . Even if public is wrong in choosing their Voice of India their decision should be accepted since that has been the format from the beginning .
Hmmm…..they all have a point but again wild card entries happen in all talent shows. After all it is another way of making more money !
The judges chose four of the participants but their names will be declared on 28th Sep. fri episode. Out of the four two of them will be selected by public voting . Again voting !!?? Then what was point in bringing the judges ???

Ok I personally loved this wild card entry round. I mean it not just for the fun part but I just love to hear TOSHI singing. He is a singer who sings from deep within and I am sure most of you will agree. If you wanna realize that feeling just take ur laptops or desktops and plug in ur headphones, close your eyes and hear him sing. I can bet a lifetime that he will touch your chords within. Not that I have received any classical training and shit but I feel its about feeling what MUSIC is all about. As a performance AABHAAS, PRANTIK, ARSHPREET AND PRIYANI were outstanding. If I have to choose one, it has to be TOSHI. Check out his earlier episodes and you will realize the kind of potential he has. Just simply heart-touching (would normally say mind-blowing but heart-touching is what his voice does. I hate all the politics that go on in making a show a hit at the expense of true TALENT!!! and by the way all those people who support ABHILASHA please understand that her voice is “awesome” but needs that little depth which she lacks due to her age. So whoever is into voting please please please dont just look at mere performances on stage but see who reaches the heart when he/she sings. Its very important to be emotionally and practically attached, not just one of the two. So go for it guys, and get TOSHI back.
