I am very sorry to say this but i dont know how the he** ishmeet is safe every week. Is punjab more populated than the rets of india?
He simply imitates singers’ voice whose song he is singing and he DOES NOT have the bet surs and voice in the whole VOI team?
AND I AM VERY SORRY FOR ABHILASHA.
It is so unfair to her as she was in the top 4 and now she has been eliminated. She should be given the same opportunity as was toshi, priyani and aabhas. Well this is my opinion and we cant know what the future drama or twist will be for this show as its the same STAR PLUS

Congrats to Ishmeet!!! His singing in the last episode was great.He really deserved to be on top this week even though hes not perfect.
Toshi is unbeatable in his style but he is not an all rounder.
Abhas still needs to grow up.
Irfan just seems to be trying to hard but not coming up to the level.
Harshit has the best voice but not the right spirit.
Priyani was an unfair entry anyway.She had to go out.
To be honest,I dont think any of these deserve to be a winner.

TOSHI, IRFAN, and HARSHI, it is indeed a JOKE…..
By the way, in my personal opinion, one of the best performances in the last episode was TOSHI/ADHESH…

I am not saying Ishmeet is the best singer.Toshi is really good but he can sing just one kind of songs.And he has got a second chance.People who are genuinely good dont need chances.

NZ gal, Toshi did not get a second chance – PPL VOTED FOR HIM TO GET BACK and in my opinion his elimination was staged to get a wild card entry and for you to say that he can sing just one type of song, I suggest you read Sadiqs post where he has clearly put the types of songs Toshi has sung, from Flim songs to gazals etc etc..just because you think he has sung just one type of song does not justify your comments, look at his work and then make a statement..
I personally think he shouldnt have come back, hes wayy tooo good for this explotation of his singing.

Some of th epost is giving regional and religious tone which is not good. i hope someone can stop this guys. anyway ishmeet was definately th ebest singer in th elast episode. Though i don’t think he can go far with his limited range. Prayani ahs good voice but mos tof the time she keeps singing tough songs adn quite often mess it she didn’t change this after reentry so now she has to face the conseqence.

that was funny. Ishmeet should ride a Tobu cycle. This is ridiculous, Priyani goes an Ishmeet stays. Ulta Pulta. I think Ishmeet will win, not by talent but by other factors. he has a good voice etc, but come on guys, when you have talented learned singers do you really think Ishmeet should win? we all sympathise with the way he was treated, however pity should not overrule rationale.

I was thinking Harshit will be out this time, but it is Priyani. Priyani is better singer than Harshit and Ishmit. These two singers should get eliminated, they does not deserve to be here now, then show will become more interesting, these two singers have never selected challenging songs and regarding Harshit when he was singing with Toshi you people can really see him in trouble to sing that song and Toshi singing was superb as always and yes Toshi can sing all kinds of songs

This is my repeat post for those blind people who says Toshi can sing one kind of song.
Toshi has sung all kind of songs right from
Piya re (Lets say a Qawali)
to Sili Sili Hawa (say a folk)
Specially during this song all people were almost in tears. The guests also said that the way Toshi sing the song it was touching their heart and she wanted to cry.
And the other songs are
to Saqi (An Item Song)
to Yaar ko Maine Mujhe yaar ne sone na diya (A Film Song)
to Lagan Lagi (A Gazal)
and all to the perfection
and if I include “Teri Diwani” (A Classical – he sang it better than original as mentioned by none other than Jagjit Singh).
He is definitely a fantastic singer and he has shown all the Jauners of singing.
He deserves to be the VOICE of INDIA

In the last episode the judges were saying tat voting and who goes out are all professional and judges and Shaan dont kno till its announced i’d say this was the best comedy these guys could have done in the whole VOI everyone of kno how the hell these votes get manipulated. Another thing wat i have personally seen is wen any of the fav singers of judges are in the bottom then some1 else is made a scapegoat. If the info given here is right Abhaas Jatin’s favored boy and Harshit Lalit n Aadesh’s fav for VOI are in the bottom then obviously to save them some1 has to be sacrificed and its Priyani who goes out. Another serious doubt i have these ppl say some1 gets highest votes for a week is it real or to increase the sms n calls from a certain area n to please a certain grp i fail to understand tat. Ishmeet getting highest votes is comical to say the least.

I would have preferred Harshit being eliminated coz according to me he is a copy cat he imitates the singer who sang the song and copy him we are looking for originality versatility which Harshit lacks. If not for the judges support and his Dhadhi sentiment i dont think he would have come this far.This show is turning worse by the day. Priyani was held back because of public outcry tat girls are being eliminated even if they are good and not given proper recognition but wen a situtaion came wherein if she stays two of judges utmost fav have to go she was thrown out. Many ppl here Priyani picks tough songs and messes up i’d jus like to say she atleast has tat courage to try singing tough songs which many of the singers in VOI cant even dream off learn to appreciate the efforts.

First of all congrats to GS for making it all male finals. Male/female participant’s controversy will be more glare of publicity now.
I was not surprised on Priyani’s elimination but Ishmeet getting bike was a surprise.
I think GS will at least show some justice in giving away bikes to all male participants (at least some justice Is shown in VOI ? )
If it is all male finales, my sixth sense says, Ishmeet will be in top 3 (as per the circumstances) and if he is there, then it would be repeat telecast of Sa Re Ga Ma finale, and I doubt if he is crowned on 3rd Nov.!!!
I hope Toshi make it to the final as well (deservingly). If the votes are not manipulated, Ishmeet will not be there in top 3. If this is the case, it should be Toshi, Harshit & Abhas. Irfan ought to have to be on top 3, but he is not favorite of any judge. So.. Finally, it will be “Voice of Judges” and not voice of India.
@ Sadiq, I and unconditionally support you on whatever you said about Toshi. He is a champ.!

Hi Sakshi are you a astrologer, bcoz you have predicted the fact that Ishmeet will be in top three and in final he will be a winner,definitely, if everything goes well, I mean if public votes with senses and with open eyes then definitely ISHMEET will win.I am only afraid of the curative director and the channel for manuplation in votes to make win their candidate if any as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa did in their finale, the curative director and the channel partners did huge manuplation in Raja Hasan’s votes and Anik Dhar’ votes, as this was confirmed by their one of the honourable judge, anyhow I would request the public to vote to ISHMEET with open eyes, and may not be misled by anyone, bus thats all…… ISHMEET chak de fatte nap de killi rat nu Bombay te savere Dilli Keep it up ISHMEET work hard more and show the people of India that you are a varsatile singer and not copy cat like Harshit.

Irfan and Abhas were the best in last weeks performance…sadlyone of them is in bottom 3 and other cudnt be the topper and Ismeet who always plays the safe game is the topper!!!no doubt his voice is very sweet,southing and suitable for playback singing buthe always chooses the easier songsand of course Sur matters in singing competition!! and even I remember Sonu nigam has told him the same to wrk hard on his ‘Gayaki’…..if the trend continues then we might get ”Voice of Punjab” instead of VOice of India

I agree with Kets Irfan and Abhas are best in the last episode.Alka for name sake repeats ‘woman power’, but it dosen’t look like she whole heartedly supported Priyani.
I feel sorry for Priyani.
Could anyone tell me does the participant choose the song or does the mentors choose the songs for them? If its participant then how come Priyani and Irfan choose all difficult songs. Every guest judge(who knows about singing) mentions that the song they choose is very difficult.

This is all Fake voting system. I don’t know how Ishmet got highest votes. Next week maybe they will say Harshit got highest votes and he will get the bike, votes are just getting manipulated. Everything is pre-planned maybe they will bring Ishmet and Harshit in finals and if any of this two comes to final that will be the biggest joke.

Sadiq, as I mentioned earlier, Bike is not given on the basis of votes, but GS is doing justice (first time in this show) by giving it to all of them one by one. So don’t worry for the rankings and number of votes!!!

Toshi is the best contestant in SVOI. There is no doubt that if there is any person who deserve to be SVOI that is Toshi. But who knows what will happened at Grand Final (After watching Indian Idol & Sa Re Ga Ma Pa). If the voting system goes like this way then just mark my words Ishmeet will become the SVOI. Who even not deserve to be stay among 8. It will be the worst nightmare of mine if it really happened. My favorite finalists are:

This doesn’t make any sense …ishmeet is not even close to the rest of the people still left in the competition. And Priyani out ..WOW big INJUSTICE…INDIA really needs to start listening to these contestants with there ears and not there EYES!!
I have really lost are credibility with the voting system of this show…I guarentee you that whom ever is chosen for VOI it will not be TOSHI or Abbass not because they are bad…BUT BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD!!

Ishmeet is a good human being and he has proved that on more than one occassion. To be successful in any field,one has to be like him.
How many of us would have reacted the way he did?If you cant be like him,atleast appreciate him.And his singing is soothing and sweet. It makes you fall in love with the song.
He will surely go a long way though I still maintain that Toshi would and should win SVOI.But Ishmeet,just be the way you are and you have enough supporters around the world!!!

Toshi – True performer,enthusiastic
Irfan – Ordinary voice but has good spirit,though toshi is better.
Harshit – Good voice but no spirit,wont last long like this.
Ishmeet – Really sweet n soothing voice,would go far in life due to his personal qualities.
Abhas – Would have appreciated him but I dont like him bcoz he is overrated by the judges.
And lets not put regional angles…Voice of Punjab,UP,Rajasthan etc etc.
I am in NZ and I dont really care where the contestant comes from but he should be deserving.
Toshi is beter than the rest but that doesnt make him the best singer.Saregamapa contetants were far superior to all of them though I liked Amanat and Raja more than Aneek.

I don’t understand the people on this blog that support Ishmeet for VOI. What is their support based on? A sweet voice? I think it’s being way too much over-rated for him. I also feel that these people don’t have any sense or either music or justice, otherwise they’ll realize that other contestants on the show are superior to him.
As for Punjab, I don’t understand why the people would support an inferior singer like Ishmeet, and not a much much much better Arshpreet, who was a great singer! It seems like voting trends are directed by both regionalism and ‘gender’ism in our country. Please note that I say ‘regionalism’ NOT religion.

People here are arguing on an issue that has no solution – it is accepted as it is in a democracy. Whoever gets more vote he/she wins – nothing to do with quality or talent. Mr. Gaj has taken it to make good profits. Think of it: in the Saregamapa final voting, several crores of votes were cast [assuming these figures are not fabricated], and each vote brings in a rupee or two, so do the math – it’s big business. Who bothers what the judges do/say or who wins or loses? So my suggestion is forget about who should be the VOI based on real talent and vesatility. Just enjoy the shows as far as you can. Amen!

I would say Irfan, Harshit and Toshi are going to be the top three singers. And my favorite is going to be Irfan because of the way he can sing the most difficult songs with most effortlessness. He has the qualities of a real playback singer. yes Harshit is also a good singer but I feel he doesn’t suit well when it comes to playback singing. Toshi is also very talented. I think Toshi matches Irfan to some extent..he will give a good fight.

ISHMEEET ???? gimme a break. if you had told me that Geaorge Bush was appointed as the best Actor in OSCARS, that would’ve been less shocling for me as compared to know that Ishmeet can ever be named as the best performer of any singing cometition. having him in the TOP 4 was enough, but having him top over competent guys like Abhas and Irfan is TOTALLY RUBISH.
if this is a singing competition in true sense then the following three names shoud be the top 3.
1. Abhas
2. Irfan
3. Harshit
Abhas is the best. just becaue he is only 17 years old shouldn’t be a fact to foucs on. the fact is that he has it all… The range of his voice is simply amazing. all my wishes are with Abhas. he is the only participant who qualifies on all grounds as far as singing abilites are concerned.

Some of you have really over reacted with Ishmeet being the topper this week. I personally am not a big fan of him but atleast appreciate his hard work. He has really improved with time and he sang really well along with Shaan, the song from Saawariya.
My favorite is IRFAN, and would like to see him win but that does not mean that I downrightly insult/badmouth other contestants. Here people are blindly praising toshi and some of the Toshi fans are being very unfair to Ishmeet. Some of the Toshi fans also claim that he can sing all types of songs but the question is can he give justice to all the songs..Cmon admit it the way he rocks in a classical song, he DOES NOT rock in a soft, soothing number as his voice is not that sweet..What Ishmeet can sing well, probably Toshi can not and vice versa..All of them are unique in their own way..Cmon guys…be fair!! Ishmeet does have some talent and that is why he could make it to Top 12..I repeat that I am not a big fan of him but I still appreciate good singing and good efforts..So please, keep your mind open and speak for your fav contestant but not insult others..Saying that Ishmeet deserves Tobu cycle instead of the bike only shows someone’s narrow mentality..Keep some taste/maturity while posting comments on this blog..
Lastly, I think Irfan was the best in the last episode and I am glad he is not in chakrawat this time. Lets see how far he can go..I hope and will pray to see him in Top 3 at least..and may be the winner!!

U r saying that I am showing my personal feelings about my favourite contestants…No ur wrong. In your post u have clearly mentioned that Abhas and Harshit is ur favorite, means ur showing personal feelings about ur favorites.
In my post I have always told the truth that Toshi is the best singer in VOI and I have proved it by giving the examples of his songs and everybody knows that Toshi is the best. He can sing any difficult song and not like other contestants. By looking at this fake voting system many people here have said that maybe Ishmet and Harshit might go to finals and it will be the biggest joke. If Gajj removes this voting system and appoint new good Judges, I am sure this two ur favorites will be the first to go out. I am not insulting the Singers but, we are all here to discuss about the best singers in VOI, who will be deserving to be IN and OUT of VOI etc. So pls. keep ur head cool. I think Harshit was lucky this time because I was thinking he will be eleminated this time.

I am a pakistani who loves art for art’s sake and not for the heck of it. And music to me is a religion with nix boundaries… beyond any religion, cast and racial discrimination. Living on the other side of the border we’ve always appreciated Indian music, films and people related to it… be it directors, actors, singers or musicians. We grew up watching Indian movies, worshipped amitabh, rekha, madhuri and relate to Bollywood as much as any Indian does.
I have been an ardent fan of VOI and admired most of its contestants. But the way things are shaping up has left me bitter and disillusioned. First of all giving janta the selection power is a terrible idea to begin with. I think the power should have been given to credible singers, musicians and critics as they eat, breathe and sleep music. Punjab is voting for Ashmeet because he is Sikh and votes pouring in for Harshit because his dadi is blind and old… contestants like Arshpeet, abhas and toshi were voted out because they didn’t gain sympathies from people despite the fact that they were immensely talented and deserved to be VOI. Hard to believe that this is the same nation, which has produced legendry singers like Lata, asha, rafi n kishore n not to forget sonu nigum n sunidhi chohan who are truly mind-blowing.
Look at the winners of Indian idols… apart from abhijeet sanwant no one else made it big. Sandeep Acharya vanished into thin air so will Parshant because he can’t sing to save his life. All these reality shows have become moneymaking ventures and have sidelined their real purpose; promoting excellence.
Now that toshi and abhas are back via wild card entry I beg, plead and beseech people from India to have them selected as being the best they deserve the best. And only you can make it happen.

Ishmeet has Sweet & smooth voice & lots of blah blah blah about him doesn’t make any sense. Believe it my friends, you will find atleast millions of singers in Subcontinent like Ishmeet. Compare to other contestants of SVOI he is nothing but simply a name. He is still at this position only by peoples emotions & voting systems. Requesting all the great people of India, please don’t make anything happened like Indian Idol 3 & Saregamapa. Please judge & vote properly. Where strong singers like Toshi, Harshit, Irfan & Abhas are still there we don’t have to vote for the weakest contestant (Ishmeet) of this show. Please.

Well guys u must understand one basic thing here who gets the highest votes is really not based on the votes they get its manipulated in such a way tat each of these 5 contestants top every week and they be given the bike. If u had noticed Shaan said in the last episode that other male contestants are feeling bad tat they didnt top and they will get opportunities in the coming week and with regard to Ishmeet toping i personally feel it was a planned move to prove tat they feel Ishmeet is a good singer n wat Abhijit said was wrong and it was aimed at soothing the community as a whole.Among the 5 contestants left now the weakest is Ishmeet and he will be eliminated mostly in the next show and they will easily put the blame on the jantha sayin u didnt vote for him after making him the topper. All i can say is lets all forget all this drama n simply watch these ppl sing n enjoy coz if we start thinkin of the drama they play this show cant be watched.

Hi there,
I am very much with you Deepak, this a “Reality Drama”. I am taking it as an entertaining show since the day 1. I know that the Judges or the Gujjee are not dummies. They know what they are doing.
Any How, let us compare all 5 singers to eachother. Plz do post you comments in this regard.
(1) Toshi: from my prospective, he is not only a verstile singer but he also can generate music. He can be a good musician like great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. I am not seeing any other guys in the competition as professional as Toshi is.
(2) Harshit: WOW, good voice but he is too lazy and conservative at times. I am not seeing a motivation in his attitude. He probably need a Manager in future.
(3) Ishmeet: Limited, Limited, Limited. You can call him a good singer for street function.
(4) Irfan: He is a moody singer, he can sing Rock as well as Melodious numbers. He can be good if he develops some sort of band after VOI rather than Play Back Singing.
(5) Abhaas: Hmmmmmm… In VOI he is improving by the special care from his mentors espacially Jatin. Every body improves if he gets good care and intention from someone. That’s why i call this show a “Reality Drama”. Mentors never looks neutral.

I am somewhat agree with Deepak that results are manipulated in VOI. Though VOI is not manipulating result of participant getting eliminate but for the toppers. What they are actually doing is eliminate the participant getting lowest vote but alter results of topper to get surprize gift to each of the remaining.
Also there are huge pressure on VOI from betting agency, as there are crores of Rs on stake for ‘Who get eliminated this week’.

ok…as someone just said that we should not focus on the drama and just focus on the singing and enjoy it…AGREED… very valid point, as the drama is all there for the commercial purpose, wheras the basic purpose of such shows should only be enjoying the ART. so i totally agree that we should enjoy as much as we can…
just to contribute my own opinion…i would like to give my personal evaluation of the remaining 5 participants…
1. ABHAAS: in my opinion, he is the most talented singer of the lot. honestly speaking he use to be my LEAST FOVRITE in the top 12, but afterwards, he proved his talents by singing all sorts of songs. if u can recall his performace in SEETAM SHIVAM SUNDRAM, HUM KISI SEY KUM NAHI, and many more…he has such a velvety voice, and he knows how to utilise his talents to sing all sorts of songs. he is my pick for being VOI. he is the only one out of the lot who can become a good playback singer and a famous pop star simultaneously.
2. IRFAN: he might not have the sweetest of voice, but the guy knows how to sing. his performance in ALVIDA and LUKA CHUPI BUHAT HUI are amongs a couple of best performances in the whole show. he works hard on his SURR and carries you with the swings of the songs. deserves to be in the top 3 atleast.
3. HARSHIT: a very safe contestant. i agree that he doesn;t take many risks in his songs, but his voice and singing is almost flawless. perfect for playback singing. not my personal favorit but i have a very strong feeling that he’ll be there in the finals.
4. TOSHI: his TERI DEEWANI and other QAWALIS have been brilliant. i like him as a performer. but i wish that he was more versatile. yes i agree that he does takes risks, but falls short on most of occasins. i agree with SONU that Toshi focuses more on his stage performance rather than his singing.
5. ISHMEET: i dont know why, but even after a few promising performances, ISHMEET has never sound convincing. yes he can be a good playback singer, but his singing has always sound more copied than original. he plays far too safe in his performances. dont intend to offend anyone, but personally i think that ARSHPREET should’ve been here instead of ISHMEET.

yes amith, i agree with you. there should be another wild card round. see, when 8 got eliminated and we had the top 4, the eliminated contestants got a chance to come back. fair enough. now that the real good ones from the top 7 are getting are getting eliminated, we must give them another chance. we need another round of wild card entry after couple of more eliminations. so, for example, let’s say we get this 4 eliminations: abhilasha, priyani, ishmeet, harshit. at that stage mr. gajji should start the next wild card round and this time we must get back two entries (one from the girls and one from the boys). that would be true justice to these talented singers - they deserve another chance. if any of you have direct/indirect contact and/or any influence on the SVOI production controllers, specifically, if you can contact mr. gajendra, please start the campaign process now.

dear Yashveer, first of all i think that you are being a little personal ovr here. i expressed my opinion, and you have the full right to express yours. if you can not respect opinion of others then atleast you should remain silent about it.
secondly, you have said that my opinion is prejiduced towards a perticular community. i think you havent read my opinion about ISHMEET with open eyes. in that portion of my post, i mentioned that i feel ARSHPREET should’ve been there in place of ISHMEET. now if you had given a little sense to your interpretation, you would know that both ARSHPREET and ISHMEET belong to the same community.
finally if you could say that i dont know ABC of music just because your opinion differs with me, then my dear friend, i can also say the same about you.

A few of u have asked for another wild card round believe me guys it wont really be of any use coz the scripit of VOI has already been written and decided so watever addon drama they do it wont change main script.A few things to know and understand why was this so called and hyped wild card entry postponed till the episode where Abhaas gets eliminated. I am not for or against Abhaas he is a good talent no doubt but y did they have to wait till Abhaas got eliminated didnt other candidates deserve this chance before? and if at all the esteemed judges for the wild card entry show were to choose the 4 singers then wat was this unannounced drama of veto power. Then another drama they said two will be selected from the 5 singers including the vetoed candidate then 3 get selected and another drama as to off the 3 which 2 go in and Alka ji says no no Priyani wont go holds her back to jus eliminate in the next episode. Moral of the story

I dont see ANYTHING wrong with Akhlaq’s comments, which are actually quite objective and a fair assesment of singers. And NOWHERE has he commented to anything related to communities. IS commenting anything bad abt someone equal to saying bad about his community?

DJ Jazzy… I’ve heard many singers perform. Priyani is one of the better ones. I like Ishmit, He is a very clean voice. He can also do high and low notes with ease so he should remain at the top and possible take the win. Abbas is just a kid. Great voice but showsoff, Don’t like showoffs at all. Even when the big wigs didn’t vote him in that should be a sign that he’s not ready yet. Harshit just lucky..Forgetting his songs not once by three time should have been eliminated long back. Irfan tries to hard to get people to come and dance with him, Stick to the singing yaar. thoshi, has a power voice but it’s not as clean sounding.

If you could get Yashveer/Jatin/xxx and their ilk to shut the heck up that’d be great. Unfortunately, they will just keep coming back with different IDs. I guess what you could do is search for ‘commun’ and simply disallow any comments with those..period.
People like these names I mentioned are actually quite poisonous, because what I’ve noticed is a pretty disturbing trend in them chosing who to call their crap on. They’re the ones who’re trying to incite anger .. not the likes of Akhlaq.
If nothing works, everyone should simply stop responding to these emptyheads.
As far as VOI is concerned, Priyani hadn’t been performing all that well lately, and save for Ishmeet everyone else remaining on the show is doing a better job than her. To me, save for one participant’s exception this was the right elimination … although I liked many of her performances and her spirit in general.

I also want to say to all of my friends, if things are going this way at SVOI, then the day is not so far when the weakest contestant of this Program Mr. Ishmeet will be crowned just as like as Indian Idol & Sa re Ga Ma Pa. Don’t know why, but I am feeling sorry for Toshi, Harshit, Irfan & Abhaas.
So far according to me Toshi is the best singer of this show.

I am posting this comment immediately after watching the episode.Abhaas’s behavior has started bothering me. In the episode where the Top 3 among 5 Wild card entries where to be selected when it was between Sumithra n Abhaas Sumithra was saying Abhaas should stay if one of us is to stay while Abhaas spoke he was talkin as if he knew already tat he will be thro. Again in today’s show he was saying Priyani came in thro Veto Power can some1 plz go n remind him tat he was not among the 4 singers chosen by the wild card judges panel it was Priyani Toshi Arshpreet n Prantik. Abhaas was in thro some stupid veto power none of knew abt. So plz can some1 let him kno the reality and ask him to come down to earth.
