I’m bowled over on Toshi Performance. He has staggered many of his critics today. This performance has shown his real hidden talent, that allot of other listeners were not aware of. He started his journey with Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Sahabs song “Piya Re”, later he again picked Khan Sahab’s songs on Wild Card Entry episode and today again Khan Saheb. All 3 performances have won everyone’s heart including judges, because Toshi has good experience of singing this kind of genre. On the other hand, Toshi sings other genres quite perfectly as well (Teri Deewani, is a great example). Therefore, in my opinion, and if justice is shown, Toshi should be crowned as Voice of India.
Irfan & Abhas has shown their worth very well.
Unfortunately Ishmeet and Harshit do not possesses classical singing qualities and is shown very clearly today.

what a pity.. harshit got 8, 8..ishmit got 6,7..was that fair??and some crappy judge also gave irfan 8? ishmeet was a qawali and real qawali…he is totally untrained singer and still he sung it very well…judges want him out next time but ustad amjad ali khan’s comments may save him and ppl are not blind..they all know what is the aukaat of jatin lalit and abhijeet..toshi is a trained singer in everything..classical and qawali..he is from sabri background and they were famous qawals.so its not a surprise as far as toshi is concerned..he is very good singer all round..better than others..this show is a lot relegious baised…why was toshi not asked to sing second time???this is a show which is decided by ppl and thier votes..not by these crappy and failed judges..its based on ppl’s sentiments and emotions..there is lot of discouragement for poor ishmeet..he basically doesnt belong to any prithvi or agni..even if he is not singing well as per the judge’s benchmark, they should atleast encourage him..if a nepali can become indian idol because of huge nepali support in certain parts of india and nepal then why not toshi or ishmeet??whats the problem, they are indians right..ishmeet voice quality is far better than indian idol winner..if voting trends are true and there is no manipulation then ishmeet is safe..there is lots of emotions attached which cant be explained here..here ppl dont vote because of ur singing qualities….and one more thing, abhijeet saying that he is big fan of ishmeet doesnt ame any sense at all.. though abhijeet is a good playback singer, if he had tried to singh same qawali which ishmeet sung, his aukat would have come out..

Ishmeet did not deserve the shit from Get it Lalla lit . What an idiot he made himself, he indirectly stooped low on the judgement of the two mastero judges.
No wonder he is still struggling in the music industry when others are making mega bucks .
All did their best and even Toshi, Irfan, Abhhas missed their sur here and there but yet they performed from their hearts .
Use a head phone and listen and you will hear the misses. they are all trying their best and will be winners in their lives if they continue practising.
Alka Ji was right that not all the singers can sing in all genres, and I am sure the poor Toshi will be a goof if he is to sing Sonu’s songs..
They all are gifted in their own style. I will give each a vote and may the lucky win after all this is a lucky draw contest via sms.
An immatured badly brought up kid spelt Ishmeet’s name as Ish Meat, please go ask mummy how you spell budhoo… they are after all good human beings and trying their best to make a future, Ishwaar bless them all.

Hi Guys,
I am glad many people like uppi,sewa,verma have come up and written for innocent Ishmeet.
Yesterday’s episode proved my point about Toshi that he can sing only Islamic religous songs. His voice is suited for that. He deserved 10/10 yesterday.
But his voice does not suit the romantic songs at all.
Guys writing is on the wall, the guy with the sweetest voice is being thoroughly discriminated against.
Pls excuse me for saying this, but what is happening with Ishmeet is pure racism. He is a victim because of his distinct appearance.
So guys wake up and vote for this God’s friend.
Ishmeet = Ishwar ka Mitra = God’s friend.
Pls do vote for Ishmeet.

What is going on? How can creator of VOI let that happen? The attitude of Jatin and the other failed dufus is not acceptable. I have no respect for those people and I am loosing interest in this show. I hope these comments are read by the producer/director of the show. The selection of Jatin as a neutral judge was wrong to begin with. He has clearly shown his favouritism towards Agni team. Its all wrong.

Jatin, you say you won’t use offensive language, but sadly you just are an offensive kind of personality. Please do NOT resort to religion based comments. No one is discriminating against ‘poor’ Ishmeet. He is still in the show isn’t he?
Do not use religions here to base your comments on, but it looks like you’re incapable of thinking or saying anything else, so I just hope you will learn some day. It is just a little irritating to hear you repeat yourself endlessly in only slightly different language every time.
Toshi, Abhas and Irfan were great today. Ishmeet just wasn’t, so simply accept it.
After seeing comments from you and a couple other people, I wish moderation came back to this blog.

Mr Desi,
I wish to humbly state, that I have no intention of bringing religion-issue . Its the pathetic attitude of the judges as verma pointed out towards Ishmeet that makes me write all those things.
Desi just watch the show carefully and you will notice the humiliation Ishmeet is put through in each and every show. Just put yourself in his situation you will feel the agony, the pain, the trauma he is going through because of the judges attitude.
Yesterday there was no flaw in his qawali. He sang it quite well. Infact after Jatin Pandit’s adverse comments Ustad Amjad Ali commented “I liked the song very much irrespective of anybody’s opinion”. Now such a high authority on music is saying such wonderful things about Ishmeet, why r these judges putting him down.
Mr Desi just think over it and then reply to me with a cool head. Pls dont make any adverse comments otherwise moderation will again be enabled, which is not good for this blog.

ok I have to @itch @ Shahid Kapur …who is he to say that Toshi sung too close to the mike..?? Shahid gets his dailouges given to him, he lip syncs songs, has a choerographer 2 teach him to dance, piles a ton of makeup…so on what ground did he make that comment, I guess Im just pissed coz hes just there as a decoration on the show and has no musical knowledge to comment on such a awesome singer..ok out of my system now…I was happy that he took the comment back

Im also a Irfan fan now, wow @ his saturdays singing…..amazing.
Now for those who say Toshi can sing only one type of songs ( ie religious muslims songs as quoted by our sick friend), ok he excelled in this genere right but no one has ever given him negative feedback in whatever song he has sung of whatever genre, ppl have on numerous times asked for once more preformances..so I guess in a way it was good to see some other singers were exposed in this genre and were given negative responses from judges..that should shut a few of his loyal critics for a week..
As for Ishmeet..for the first time I appericated Adesh’s comments..Ishmeet did his best but I guess its fair to say that he should stick to slow romantic songs… all the best to him…Jatin pundit is just plain stupid, no point in commenting on his comments..
It was nice to see Harshit out of his comfort zone….get him to sing other harder songs and his true talent will shine as it did on Saturday !!…the LISP was more noticeable on Sat

Dear Jatin,
Don’t take it personal, but I think Desi is 100% correct. Just remember, Ustad Amzad Ali Khan & Pankaj Udhas Ji are special guests (Judges). Their job is to encourage all the contestants despite their good or bad performances. And same thing happened to Ishmeet. The special judges just encouraged him. But what the regular judges did is also 100% correct. Perhaps they should state such comments against Ishmeet long time ago. Thats the only thing they failed to do.
For all of your informations who think like that Toshi can only sing one type of songs I would like to remind them please watch Episode 44 where Toshi sang excellently the song “Tarapu” of Himesh from the film Darling which is basically a romantic song & soft song. The result was all the people almost came down & appreciated too much to Toshi. Even till now I never saw peoples showed their appreciations in such way at SVOI or any other musical shows. And even how did you all forgot when Toshi sang “Lagaan Lagi Tumse Maan Ki Laggan”. He sang excellently at that day.
So please, my request is, leaving all of your emotions and except the truth which is Toshi an sing all type of songs & he is the best among all the contestants.

I think this is too much for Ishmeet’s now. I personally like this guy because he is a well put on educated guy but sorry to say that he cannot sing better than few other in VOI.
Listen Guys, If Ishmeet is still in VOI, it’s just because of Producer / Judges and not public. GS has kept him for business purpose only as to attract large majority of votes. Having sweet voice should not be the only reason to be in VOI final 5, but he should have control on high notes as well that he do no have. I don’t think anyone has any personal chip on your shoulder for Ishmeet but it is just that he cannot manage lower and higher notes, which is very important part. Likewise Harshit, he just jumps in between lower and higher notes, but cannot produce equilibrium in between.
If you guys remember, on the day of finalizing BEMISAAL 12, two participants were eliminated because of personal disliking of few judge and they were Vipul and Arvind. Honestly, if they were in final 12, Ishmeet could have been out long time back or may not have been in final 12.
I would not praise Toshio here, but I would not praise Ishmeet and Harshit as well. We need to realize that VOI is reaching its climax and only BEST SINGERS has to be in top 3.
Last but not the least, Ishmeet’s name has always been involved in religious rivalry (especially in VOI), PERHAPS his name is been used by some blank heads to express their personal rage. I personally request to all readers not to pay attention on these kinds of comments and please discuss music here, because more they get attention, more shit is spread in the form.

guys, I suspect Jatin is using several aliases including uppi,sewa,verma. He is trying to create a case for Ishmeet, who clearly is not the brightest we have got. Today’s episode was doodh ka doodh, paani ka paani. Guys face it – Ishmeet is not trained in music. A good singer should be able to sing all kinds of songs – look at Md Rafi, Kishor Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle. Can we see Ishmeet even going closer to these people with his current talent? No, of course not. He needs to spend years doing riyaz before he can go anywhere closer to a proper singer. I agree that he was been unjustly treated by Abhijeet, however, this does not mean we should pity him and close our eyes to the contrast of talent between Toshi, Abhas, Irfan v/s Ishmeet. Ishmeet sings in his comfort zone. And about Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, he has not criticised anybody. He is encouraging everybody, which is good, but leaves lack of clarity as to what he really thinks about each participant’s singing and talent.

If you really want to protest against VOI, i think the best way is to send emails to VOI team…That will be more fruitful..

Jatin hates @Jatin Pandit(of Jatin Lalit fame) and declares them unsuccessful. Hope he has at least some understanding of the heights Jatin-Lalit have achieved in the Hindi Music Industry.
Ishmit is a scapegoat of Judges, people should know that, judge and if they like then vote for Ishmit.
Toshi is capable of only SUFI singing. SUFI is most popular form of music in the world not soft romantic lifted tunes of Hindi music. This means he must be voice of world not only India.
Abhas is a Prodigy lets protect him and support him, If Sonu Nigam says he was not singing as good as Abhas at his age he is right Abhas sings lot better than his age and he will be the Sachin Tedulkar of Indian music industry. If he is unable to make it this time next time sure he will. He doesn’t need to be Voice of India, he is already voice of India.
Harshit is a copy cat let him do this Job of Copying Toshi and Abhas after they are Voice of World and Voice of India.
Irfan please try in your regional Industry and come back to us to sing like SP Bala. Your pronunciation of many words are Pathetic, but as your greatest performance ALVIDA – from Life in a Metro we will definitely not say ALVIDA rather try to accept you as a HINDUSTANI.

Please do not insult the wild card entries time and again by saying that wild card entry ke zariye this person is in Chakravart and so on. You wanted to boost ur TRP rating and votes. Couldn’t be done in the absence of talented wildcards like Toshi and Abhas. What is the point in getting them back and insulting them? Please give talent the respect it deserves. If a person doesn’t deserve to be in the contes t wildcard or otherwise please let him go.

Those who says Toshi cannot sing many types of songs, If you have not seen all Toshi’s
songs then u should not say he is good only in Sufi style, next time u put ur comments pls. check the online videos or audios of Toshi and comment on him.
You should know that:
Toshi has sung all kind of songs right from
Piya re (Lets say a Qawali)
to Sili Sili Hawa (say a folk)
Specially during this song all people were almost in tears. The guests also said that the way Toshi sing the song it was touching their heart and she wanted to cry.
And the other songs are
to Saqi (An Item Song)
to Yaar ko Maine Mujhe yaar ne sone na diya (A Film Song)
to Lagan Lagi (A Gazal)
and all to the perfection
and if I include “Teri Diwani” (A Classical – he sang it better than original as mentioned by none other than Jagjit Singh).
He is definitely a fantastic singer and he has shown all the Jauners of singing.
And in Qawali also he was rocking!!
He deserves to be the VOICE of INDIA

I dont know, who is jatin and who is alok and who is sewa or mewa here..i am uppi singh, i have my own id n i live in united states. i am watching this show from begining since first time a true sikh boy has been provided opportunity in india in these kinds of shows which has not happened earlier. so is the case with so many sikhs in india who are voting for this poor boy for huge numbers as he was brought into final rounds by judges..after thats its all ppl choice and producer’s choice..i am not saying ishmeet is very good singer though he is better than indian idol winner but the attitude of judges towards him as shown on screen is not acceptable. they brought daleer mehendi and his school principal from punjab to pacify things and just check how daler mehendi was looking at abhijeet. the persons who should be out of this show are abhijeet and jatin pandat. if u cant encourage anybody, who the hell u r to discourage. no doubt all judges have their favs. if voting trends are to go by, ppl dont give crap to what these judges say. how many movies jatn, lalit and adaseh are composing music for? how many songs alka and that ganja has sung in last one year?if abhaas is sucha fantastic prodigy, why was he not selected by such esteem judges in so called wild card round? or was it all drama and staged to accomodate all? this show is worst show i have ever seen and is liable for defamation suit. the comments made by abhijjet towards particular community was worst ever..he is not fit to judge anybody..even if they were faking it just to increase their TRP ratings which i doubt,they are liable for a defamation suit. ishmeet is untrained and natural singer with a beautiful voive quality.. just imagine if he puts some efforts in next 2-3 yrs and learn all required traits, he will be on top..voice if india should be raw natural talent and not such ppl who are trained in classicals and vocals and qawalis and bla bla from day one..thats my view point..there was one more kid like abhaas who was out initially..vipul from amritsar..why was he out??this show is totally baised and is full of crap and shit..even though they get votes, they decide based on script who will stay and who will be out…to all toshi lovers here, toshi is very good singer and only singer who can sing anything..these judges cant stand that because that means their favs abhaas and harshit cant win. this show is relegious baised show and nothing much. there can be any racism here as all are from same race..its region and relegion in india..race is not a factor..ishmeet will be out next week no matter how many votes he gets from punjab..this competeion is no indian idol where nepali was allowed to become champion of india because indian idol is copy right and proprietary of American idol and they cannot manipulate things there..abhaas is going to be winner unless they change their mind in the end and crown toshi as champion…

Once I already mentioned in this forum that there are millions of singers in Sub Continent like Ishmeet. So, hope you all got my point.
Secondly, Vipul & Arvind were better than Ishmeet & belive me it’s true. He never deserves to be among 8. Perhaps he should be eliminated when he was sick & failed to perform 3 occasions in a row.
Finally I want to say that, this sort of programs are for hunting real talents not worst ones. Believe me, if all things go correctly then Ishmeet will be eliminate next week. I don’t know who will be SVOI but in my opinion Toshi deserves than any other contestants.

Hello All
I again wanted to have a say here. Surely Ishmeet is not the best of all. But i have a different point of view here and would love if people keep this thing in mind before they vote in remaining part of the SVOI contest.
I think none of the remaining 5 contestants are ahead of any in a sense. Its like comparing sonu nigam with anoop jalota or you can say late nusrat fateh ali khan to abhijeet. Agreed ishmeet wasnt at his best and neither was Harshit. But the way ishmeet was treated when he got the bike(none of the judges applauded him) and when jatin gave him 6 and adesh gave him 7, it was clear how stupid there own thinking is. If abhijeet had shown ishmeet how to sing that particular qawali i would have agreed.Moreover the 2 ustads of classical/gazals liked hima and even went on telling Jatin that they liked him even if he doesnt like him. What a shame for Jatin…..He sweared in the name of Saraswati Ma not be behave in a biased manner for any contestant but he has started showing favours for Abbhas and his jealousy for Ishmeet.
And similarily when Harshit was given 8,8 and lalit, adesh made continuos efforts to remind people of his dadi,it really sucked. Poor Ishmeet, i think Abhijeet have clearly given the hint that next time the judges will decide who will go.
So nice of Shahid Kapoor to point out the fact to Abhijeet that its the people not the judges who make a singer. They know what they like and its upto the judges how to groom them.
Ishmeet has a sweet playback voice and no one can deny that.Not only ishmeet all the remaining 5 contestants should be given opportunity in the Industry as india cant afford to loose 4 of these 5 now coz everybody has tremendous talent in there areas and corresponding to that there own weaknesses.
So i strongly urge people to Vote keeping in mind what they like and not what judges liked. Coz that is sheer politics as everybody has seen.

Imran Khan, i never said ishmeet is best singer. on the other hand i am saying toshi is best. u r supporting toshi and irfaan blindly because u r imran or rushdie..considering ishmeet has no formal training in music, he sung that qawali 1000 times better than irfan, toshi or abhaas..ok keep that in mind before making any non sense comments here…here the problem is not that ishmeet is best but the problem is treatment given to him by judges..its disgusting not to say the least..next week he will be out because of manipulation of votes..next week, its judges decesion round..after that u pray for ur toshis and irfaans because they are never gonna win..it will be either harshit or abhaas..get that in ur small brain if u havent understood by now..

Hi everyone,
This is the first time i’m commenting about this show on this site.I’ watching SaReGaMaPa since i was a kid,and now the person,who started this brilliant project is doing it as Star VOI.Today i was going through all the comments posted on this site and being a human first and then an Indian, i felt the need to express a few things.Firstly we must be thankful to the whole team of SVOI and all other quality musical shows like Saregamapa and Indian Idol,that has been giving chance/platform to young talents to initiate their journey smoothly,but don’t forget it can only provide a smooth begining but the fittest and consistent with god’s blessings is going to survive the struggle and become eventual winner in long run.
So don’t become too emotional to question anyone’s integrity without knowing all the facts.
Secondly,pls. move beyond the boundaries of caste,race or religion..its not going to do any good to anyone,even if somebody’s act is not in good interest or sounds motivated,still be a better human and respond accordingly.
Honestly i feel the previous format where Learned Judges used to deliver the verdict was better but world has changed and everywhere this public voting stuff has started so probably thats the reason.When public voting is involved we must be wise to understand that any tom,dick or harry can be the winner,so we should not expect the results according to our views,instead we should just watch the show,listen to these talented youngsters,appreciate each them for their indivividual talents according to their potential and forget about any win or loose that hardly matters bcoz whoever is going to be hardworking ,consistent and singing from their soul will eventually get what he or she desrves to get but definitely if god wants him or her to be.So pls. look towards anything in life beautifully..positively .Our country is full of uniqueness in diverse patterns…hindu,muslim,sikh,isai..make it a unit and nothing can be more beautiful.

Imran Khan your sort of people are people are killing the integrity of the show by just supporting the fuys belonging to your religion. I am neither sikh nor muslim but i can say all of them rock coz in last 5 its really difficult to judge who is good or bad.
You seem to be singing the same old song that Harshit/Ishmit should be out and Irfan/Toshi rock.
Grow up young man, i earlier thought u were a paki but then when you said u were an indian. i felt pity on our education system and wondered if u have ever been to an indian school.
This is modern India man. Stop supporting the guys just because of religion man. Be sensible. Treat all of them equally now.

Last episode showed a lot of difference between contestant. Ishimeet is diffenately lagging behind but i too agree that VOI judges are stupidity at best. Alka’s was right that certain peoples voice doesn’t suit to every genre of songs. Truly speaking being a muslim i really like Ishmeet’s singing th eonly drawback is even in his high his voice doesn’t does behind certain level. But he maintained his tune and tone very nicely. In fact i felt aabhaas was bad he was singing qawwali as classical song so there is no vibration in his songs which is neccessary for qawwali. jharshit too sang well but the song selection made it difficult for him to compete. But it looks like the judges are very baised especially jatin lalit and adesh. IT looks like Aahbaas has some contection to his guys so even at his worst he get praise only. Previously irfan was at the recieveing end i have never see this three judge giving him better marks even if he sings well. Now it seems they have catch hold of Ishimeet and are being were rude to him. Ishimeet is singing well within his limitation. Let see what the other guys do in soft ghazal music. Probably abhaas toshi and harshit will struggle in that and Ishimeet will definately be very good.

First of all I will like to clarify that i have not started this communal debate, it was Abhijeet who converted this wonderful show into a communal show on 28th September. Other judges r just following him by demoralising Ishmeet under 1 pretext or the other.
Guys 1 more thing if Ishmeet can’t sing a Qawalli(which i dont agree) then Toshi is most unsuited for romantic songs.
One more news for u guys Ishmeet has got the maximum votes online this time. Lets hope he has got maximum votes via phone too.

I would really like to see JATIN sing a Qawwali based on the comment he passed on to Ishmeet.
Poor Ishmeet.. getting embarassed almost every week. It was Irfan before, and now its Ishmeet.
Now that he has won the bike last week, that was a hint that its time for him to leave and I am sure these judges wont let him in next week because this contest is not VOI but it is voice of Jatin,Lalit,Aadesh,Alka,and Abhijeet.
Amanat, Aneeq, and Raja are WAY much superior than the contestants in VOI.
I hope and wish that Lataji cancels her commitment to come in the Grand Finale because she would not have the right voices by then to choose from — Priyani is eliminated, Ashpreet is not there, and in the next two weeks, Ishmeet and Irfan will be eliminated.

Toshi Elimination was just a drama created by Gajj, Toshi was having good votes that time
Toshi was intentionally eliminated earlier by Gajj just to make the Wild card entry, if Gajj had removed Harshit or Ishmeet instead of Toshi then people would not have come on the roads to protest and there will be no wild card entry, in other words these are all business tricks. Gajj’s plan was to eleminate Toshi to GIVE CREDIBILITY TO WILD CARD DRAMA, no one bets on a dead horse(Ishmeet, Harshit or other singers) and only on winner..hence Toshi was artificially eliminated.
Ishmeet is having a good voice but he has to learn a lot about singing as Ishmeet himself have told that he has just started learing to sing.

dear All,
i have laernt this fact that we should only focus on the performance being put in by the participants and not on any other thing. religion, comments by others, personal biases, all these things should be plainly ignored.
i just want to give my opinion about the performances in the QAWALI episode…
1. ABHAS: this performance was amongst a few of my favorite performances by any participant in any episode. as i previously mentioned that ABHAAS used to be my least favorite participant in bemisaal 12, but man has he convinveed me on his talents or what. and with this qawali, he has proved his abilities. and keeping in mind his performance in TEREY LEYE ISHQ NIBHAVAN in the previous episode, we can be well aware of the variety he can give with equal perfection. all my wishes are with this young chap. God bless him. irrespective of the fact if he wins or not, he is THE MOST TALENTED of all these guys. and he’ll go a long long way in his life.
2. IRFAN: i was worried about him in this episode. as i thought that he could be best in rock balads, but i was amazed by his performance in HAJI ALI. man !! talk about creating a spell. the reason why i rate his performance above TOSHI’s is that Irfan’s voice is not as good as TOSHI’s yet IRFAN’s performance had more impact on the atmosphere. GOd bless u Iran.
3. TOSHI: in contrast to many others, i dont belive that TOSHI can only sing a few types of songs. the guy is very talented and has proved his verstility in past. but this is where he is the strongest. His ALLAH HOOO in this episode was just the perfect performance to set the mood for the whole episode. WELL DONE TOSHI… VERY WELL DONE.
4. ISHMEET: i’ve never been a fan of Isheemt, but i do admire his voice. i really felt sorry for him in this episode. Qawali was too big a task for him. but i must admire his courage, as his performance clearly showed the effort he was putting in. but it was beyond his capacity as a singer. this is not a fault in him, its just that everything is not meant for everyone. thats y i feel sorry for him.
5. Harshit: this was highly disappointing. i was not expecting anything amazing from Harshit in QAWALI, but the end result was even far below the expected level. Harshit simply tried to imitate Kishore Kumar’s voice in KABHI BEY BASI NEY MAARA. i wish Harshit had tried to sing it in his own voice rather then simply imitating. this was indeed disappointing for me, as i have always admired Harshit’s singing.

I think Lataji will select the VOI
In Last friday’s show Shaan told that Lataji is comming on the finals of VOI and she will select the VOI, if it is true and Toshi reaches finals then there are 95% chances for Toshi to win. Lets hope that Agni Judges and Neutral Judge doesn’t play politics on Toshi by manipulating votes and eliminate him again before the finals just to make entry for their favorites(Harshit and Abhas)

But, I agree with you that Toshi is the best singer out of the remaining lot. Everyone has his limitations, so if others feel that he is only good with certain songs.. so be it.
However, I also personally feel that singers in Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa were more talented.
Even though I like Toshi the most, I admit that I find Raja Hasan better than him.
Similarly, Oneek better than Abhas.
Amanat better than Irfan.
Sumedha better than Priyani.
Poonam better than Abhilasha. etc

someone posted above that they have put 10000 votes for Ishmeet. This is evidence of contest rigging. People who have nothing better to do i.e. bekaar poeple(and these are mainly tone deaf people) do this sort of work. This is evidence enough to know that public voting will always be biased and rigged. The worst get the highest votes, sympathy votes.
It will be a mockery of music if Ishmeet wins, and looking at the trend so far, it is quite possible that this will happen. Its a different issue if Ishmeet will ever get any songs in music industry.

Further there is no rigging going on. I was just kidding about the 10,000 votes. me & my friends could manage just 100 votes for him.

I totally agree with you on comparison of SRGMP with VOI. I wished Raja or Amanat be the winners, but anyways, it’s public who decides.
While talking on commercial terms, I think VOI is in need of Toshi at this pint of time and especially for grand finale just to earn more money through SMS, regardless of results. Toshi’s presence in grand finale will earn those millions of rupees!

There was a strong rumour since yesterday that Harshit and irfaan had lowest votes and one of them will be eliminated, and till now Harshit was said to be lowest voted. At the last moment Irfaan is eliminated. What if Harshit was actually the lowest of five and they sacrificed Irfaan to save Harshit coz he’s nobody’s favourite? Jatin, I’m really sorry to say, but your comments don’t make sense to me at all. Please don’t take it personal.
If you have to blame so called WC entries for Irfan’s elimination, then blame Jatin Lalit for using veto power only for Abhas and remaining 3 judges (excluding Adesh) for Piyani, by blowing “NARI’S POWER” trumpet.
Abhas was not selected by 4 Judges particularly invited for wild card entries decision and they are well identified far and wide for their knowledge on music. Do you think Jatin Lalit has more experience than Khayam sahib? Or other honored judges? No, he does not have. He is only showing act of kindness towards Abhas just to give pleasure to Sanjay Leela Bansali as Abhas is his favorite. Trust me, If Sanjay Leela Bansali or any other successful movie director/producer chooses a street singer as his favorite, Jatin Lalit will support him as well. Jatin is not supporting any kind of talent but his support is only related to commercial terms. Mainly after split with his brother Lalit Pandit, he is dying to bag big contracts for new movies these days. His bias attitude towards Ishmeet is also part of the same story.

tragic… very tragic indeed. if the news about irfan is confirmed then, it is really a tragic turn of events at VOI. especially after such a promissing performance in last episode, this shouldn’t have been done.
i still have a hope that maybe this nes is not confrimed.
i know that now is a stage where sooner or later he had to go, as i always had this feeling that he is not going to make it to the finals. but not at this stage. maybe after the top 4. but not before that.
if this is true, then my heart goes to him as he was the only one who had never had any extra favors or sympathetic apeals.
the worst performance last week was by Harshit. anyways i’ll still watch the show till the very end. although i’ll be missing irfan’s honest performances.

Irfan’s exit came as shock i was hoping he will make to Top 3. But i guess now the Top 3 are gonna be from Agni only most probably its Ishmeet’s turn next as he is least fav among the 4. Harshit Abhaas and Toshi are fav’s of the judges.Toshi is the star of VOI not only thro his singing but due to the drama they played with to increase TRP.So guaranteed he will be in Top 2 also not sure if they will let him but surely will hold him till then as he has proved to be a money winner for VOI.This is a money minting show making money at cost of loosing good talent all the way

Hey – I personally feel – organizers should not disclose religion/origin/state etc of participants – people vote based on everything but the main criteria – singing. Its a singing competition – and a tv show which has to make money to survive – keep that in mind. And psycologicaly – you hear/read what you want to hear/read – so if u felt that Ishmeet got treated unfairly – thats mainly because thats what you want to feel & hear. Its a nice show – and its become more interesting – mainly because contestants are improving tremendously. I like listening to all singers here – but for today’s – Toshi smoked everyone else – beyond doubt. Generally – Abhas is pretty versatile and fun to listen too. Cheers.

I agree with diwakar, Gajji is there to make money, there is no charity in this world, the free bread is always on the other side of the trap.
As far as the singing goes for 19th & 20th october episodes,
Toshi has outshined everyone. Tadap and Allah Hoo, 2 different kind songs and both given full justice.
Abhaas for me was 2nd best, the only place i feel he slipped was when he took the “TAAN” on the higher notes it felt like he was screaming, as happened with priyani while singing Aa Ab laut chale.
Irfan, was dynamic as usual, but I think he needs to stick to Rock songs, classical is not his flavour.
Harshit, Long way to go my friend, He has the throw in his voice but cant do justice to the songs and needs to come out of copying.
Ishmeet, Judges are not wrong about you, Jatin Pandit has got the experience, I somehow agree with Ateeq, Vipul was more deserving than Ishmeet. Ishmeet has very nice voice, but does not deserve to be in Final 4.
I am shocked on Irfan’s elimination.
One request to all of you please come out of relegion and just think of music.

Its very shocking to know that Irfan is out
I was expecting Toshi,Abhas and Irfan in the top three. Ishmeet and Harshit is still in the show. Votes are getting manipulated. Irfan is better than Ishmeet and Harshit. This is all preplanned, SVOI have already decided who will be eliminated and who will reach the finals and win.
Since yesterday there are many comments Harshit and irfaan are in the bottom two and one of them will be eliminated, and till now Harshit was said to be lowest voted. At the last moment Irfaan is eliminated. What if Harshit was actually the lowest of five and they sacrificed Irfaan to save Harshit because Irfan is nobody’s favourite(Judges). Wish u all the best, i’m sure he will do well in whatever the future brings.

First of all, I must say that singers like Toshi and Irfan do not need a platform like VOI to show their significance. Irfan has such a distinctive voice and sings all kind of songs well. I think LADY LUCK was not behind him, otherwise votes should not have been manipulated.
People are that talking about religion, cast, and region should realize that music has no borders. We should all focus on Music and not the other rubbish issues. Having a special debate on this kind of issues will not change VOI’s results and will not bring Irfan back, but this blog will look unattractive.

I am sorry but I kind of disagree with your comment that singers like Toshi and Irfan do not need platforms to show their significance if you mean to say that they are good enough to establish themselves without these kinds of platforms. First of all, Irfan was a part of SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005 and Ek Main aur ek tu. everybody has already seen him and he still didn’t get any singing offers. That speaks of his talent in itself. Again, we can say that he has improved since then but does he offer anything better than sonu, shaan, kk, sukhwinder, udit, kailash, zubin, kunal, rahat fateh ali khan, shankar mahadevan? No he doesn’t. He may be good with regards to standard of this compoetition but I am sorry to say he has no future in Hindi Playback singing. there are great singers already who are young too. now with regards to toshi he might be very good but then again there are already way better singers in bollywood. he excels the best in nusrat fateh ali khan’s style. dont u think musarrat in saregamapa was better than him in that style. and the other styles that toshi sings, there are sukhwinder and kailash khairs already who have much better voices. toshi has great singing talent but not a great voice. I am sorry but I don’t see great future for these guys.

I have my ears completely open. i think you need to open your eyes a little bit and look a little beyond toshi in this world. you love toshi thats fine. and i agree that she has very good singing talent and can sing various kinds of songs. the only point i want to make is that he doesn’t haver a great voice quality. uski aawaz buland nahi hai aur throw ki thodi kami hai. people like sukhwinder singh and kailash khair have excellent voice qualities to go along with their singing capabilities. i hope you understand what i mean by voice quality. and i completely agree that toshi is the best singer in this competition. but there is a cruel life beyond this competition

Thanks for your observations and I like the way you have politely raised your concerns.
While talking of Irfan, I heard allot that he has been part of two reality shows in the past but I’ve not seen myself. Special case was SRGMP 2005 and please do not forget that judges running VOI were there in 2005 as well.
Irfan has already lent his voice for the title track of the Telugu film Oka Vichitram and is expecting more offers for playback singing after this contest.. ‘Although he didn’t have any music background, his guru Ramachary groomed him as a singer right from when he was in the second standard. Irfan, who did a four-year course in Hindustani (vocal) from Tyagaraja Government Music College, likes the compositions of AR Rehman and is a big fan of singers Mohammed Rafi and SP Balasubrahmanyam. He got a chance to sing with SP on stage on several occasions.
The outcome was in hands of the people / organisers of the show. When it comes to music, he is confident and has his own strategy. But if people wanted to see him singing again and again, then they had to vote for him more by sending an SMS,’’ and they did, but all of a sudden, he lost the stage!!! Now there is again a rumor that he is still in the show (probably another drama by GS), so let’s see on Friday and Saturday.
Toshi’s distinctiveness are very well recognized by every one and number of people is writing about his talent. He has a distinctive voice as well and I do not agree that he cannot sing loudly and thrust of Toshi’s voice is by far no. 1. Excellent voice is not only a criteria to become a good singer but perfection on sur & taal should also be there and he has it already.
It would be unfair to compare the participants with famous singers of bollywood. It took some time for them to get this kind of fame. On the other hand, many winners of reality shows have become history now except for Shriya Ghoshal, Kunal and Suniti precisely. I personally like all of them.
I think when we talk of this show VOI, then there have been allot of controversies. Judges left few good singers behind while finalizing final 12 and explicitly they were Vipul and Arvind (Have u heard them by any chance?). In my personal opinion, there voice quality was better than few in final 12.
Never believe that a failure is your destiny. Failures are just a passing phase which is God’s way to test everyone but not their destiny; destiny is written by your own hands. On the other hand, luck factors counts allot.

I only removed some comments in this section only in which I had written about Harshit elimination and later on Irfan got eliminated. As Harshit news was unconfirmed so I removed when the confirmed news of Irfan came.
May be, someone used a fake ID with Rishi name and wrote something under spoiler section. I have no idea what was written there. So cant tell you on that.
