Remeber there is always a justice. Because of Priyani, Abhilasha was eliminated. Immediately next week it was turn of Priyani, because public sympathy was with Abhilasha. Same happened, earlier also i wrote..Toshi eat Irfan, and people will not forgive him for that. Here u go Toshi got eliminated.

I sincerely wanted Harshit to be eliminated today as he asks sympathy votes for his blind dadi. This is not the way to ask for votes in a music contest. Jatin-Lalit & Aadesh shrivastava r blindly supporting him.
I wanted a Ishmeet – Toshi final and wanted to see Ishmeet getting better off Toshi.
But alas that dint happen. A Ishmeet-Toshi contest would hv been as exciting as a Indo-Pak cricket match.
But I think VOI team has decided to crown Harshit as the winner.
Abhas & Ishmeet just might endup making a fool of themselves in the finals.
I am sure the Judges will poison Lataji’s mind against Ishmeet and in favour of Harshit.
Lets see what happens.

Dear All,
It was an excellent experience for me related with this blog. And still now and will always be. More than Toshi’s elimination which really shocked me is how the people of great India tolerated such money making policies & communal isms from SVOI stupid judges & director. How they let is running on. Isn’t it now crystal clear to them!!

I read smwer tht last week actually Harshit was eliminated but VOi manipulated the votes and showed Irfan out of the show…and now this week toshi…I m damn sure next week its Abhas’s turn to leave and finally Ishmeet vs.Harshit!!.and mostly they are planing to make Harshit VOI!!!..I dont mean tht Ishmeet and Harshit are bad singers ..infact both of them have got really nice voices…mainstream playback singers voice…but if ‘gayki’ is considered their potential was revealed in qawali round where they were completely beaten by Abhas,Irfan and toshi.but sadly toshi who was supported byall the judges so much is not accepted by janta!!……..I dint expectthis from the show which is directed by Gajji….

Guys i feel bad tat Toshi has been eliminated but this was bound to happen.When the choice was to be made between the four Ishmeet and Harshit had to stay coz they are money generators for Gaj ji n judges.Abhaas how can he go out wen Jatin went out of the way to bring him in the wild card round.I am not against any1 as i have said in my posts earlier its jus tat such cheap behavior of the panel and producers n talent made scape goat is hurting a lot. I fail to understand how a singer who has been safe after his return thro WC and a two time top vote gainer suddenly fall to last. Its all nothing but vote rigging to help whom they want to stay.I jus wanted to add one more thing nobody was eliminated due to another singer. Abhilasha elimination Priyani’s entry n similarly in Irfan Toshi case Abhilasha n Irfan’s elimination was in scheme of events tat were to follow and Priyani’s inclusion was to increase the show by one more week so more money comes in.The judges n producers will crown the person who generates maximum income for them as VOI that too not by singing but by a show of emotions whose emotion appeals the most and gets the maximum votes is VOI wow isnt tat gr8 great goin gaj ji n team of VOI keep it up

It is the muscle (Money) power which will decide the winner. Singing power comes second. It is like Laksmi always beats Sarswati. Any contestent who has backers who are willing to spend more money for voting will win. The voting system for all of these contests are flawed. The only hope is that good singers from these contests get noticed and get a break in the industry.

Harshit is a wonderful singer and deserves to be the voice of India. Many people are trying to pull his leg by telling him to be a copy cat .But he has a strong male voice(in the genre of Kishore Kumar, Kumar Sanu, Bhupinder, Gulam Ali) That is why they mistook him to be a copy cat. The charm he exudes and his effortless singing is unbelievable. Alka Yagnic once told that when Harshit starts to sing he acquires half the empire. Could any of the other contestants have sung “Thodisi jo pili hai” with the ease and charm of Harshit ?
One more thing. Some bloggers have become paranoid. They are bringing out so many conspiracy theories and imagining so many absurd things that I want to advise them just to relax and enjoy. This is just another reality show.

Hello Everyone,
Its been almost 5 months that I have been watching SVOI episodes on this very website but this is the first time I am posting a comment. Reason being the elimination of Irfan and now, apparently Toshi. I am a Keralite but was raised in Canada from the age of 16 and have been playing Table since that age. Considering the knowledge that I have, according to me Abhas is an all-round talent and possibly the best singer present in the camp. Closely follows Irfan and although Toshi has a very classical touch to his singing, he is way better than the remaining i.e. Harshit and Ishmeet.
Harshit is a good singer with a good voice but majority of the songs that he has sung have been a complete copy of some very famous renditions. I, myself, can do that very well and I am sure thousands can do that in India. There is no genuineness in his voice. Ishmeet has a very soulful voice and his gentle personality reflects in his singing. But, the first time that I really thought seriously of Ishmeet is when he sung MashAllah of Saawariya. Apart from this song,he has never been in the same league as Abaas, Toshi and Irfan. Considering consistency to be the foremost quality in selecting the best voice, it would be a grave folly to consider Ishmeet as VOI.

I have been reading this blog for a while now, and i am really disappointed with language being used. Today “M I K” even had the cuss words, how can you guys do this any allow others to use this.
Get life guys, it;s just a show, and it’s not the singers who are bad or doing bad things (they may benefits from what the Judges & Producers are doing). Hats off to all the singers who put up with this.
And any way SHOW Business, it’s always popular wins and never good.
Other why good films flop & some rubbish films are hit. It;s JANTA’s doing, so stop blaming singers for it.

Hardev, I agree with you, however, i find all these blogs funny. It gives you the idea of how people think. I have my views too
. I guess – it was about time for Toshi to be out. He is a great signer, very unconventional & there is no doubt in his singing abilities. Begam Akhtar, Nusrat sahib (classical signers) didn’t fit in masses.. competetion is between Harshit and Abhas becuse they both have great throw in their voice. My vote goes to Harshit for a reason though I like Abhas. Harshit gets my vote becuse No one can stop Abhas in this field he is born to sing but Harshit, from middle class and need a deserving push – hey why not. I love Ishmeet – no one has to brag his sincerity it can be seen on his face, he will be singed couple songs very soon but for choclate heroes – insha allah 
. I feel sad for Irfan he should be in final 3.

Hi , I am happy that Harshit got the highest number of votes this week . I was upset with Abhijeet’s comments last week at such a crucial stage of the competition .
But i guess that was blessing in disguise .. I am sure those comments also helped Harshit .
I am a little disappointed that Toshi left though .
I do not understand the theories here that star manipulated the votes to save Harshit and got Irfan and Toshi out . How would STAR voi benefit from crowning Harshit the VOI . On the contrary wouldn’t the TRP’s be more if they kept Toshi or Irfan ?

I dont think MIK said anything wrong, the guy is frustrated,..I can see where he is coming from…first I blammed Ishmeet too… but its wrong to blame Ishmeet, thats what judges want ppl to think, nothing to do with Ishmeet…
If this is true, OMG, injustice with him again, his song Saiyyan – better then Kailash’s verion, this guy is so talented, I hope and pray to god that he gets his break……. I was sure and Im sorry to say this but I thought Toshi would be safe because they got rid of one muslim last week, so theyll keep one on, just to show ppl how politically correct they are, but how wrong was I….

, A muslim president and Sikh prime minister is running the country. I like Toshi he is great singer but he doesn’t have stage presence + he can never be main stream singer, on the other hand, if you hear harshit, Irfan, Abhas and Ishmeet reach in the bottom of your heart. As mentioned above Thosi can never fit into mainsteam filmi world. He might get opportunity for a qwali or sufi songs but not the duets. His voice is very harsh for soft numbers. I am glad Irfan got recognition. I like Abhas or Ismeet to win from the remaining 3. I am not against to Harshit. But he imitates all the time.
Could anyone tell me in which episode he sung with his own voice. I would like to listen to his original voice.
One thing I dont understand why did the judges eliminated Aravind. The reason they coated is he is imitating kishore da. Then whats the difference between Aravind and Harshit. Well infact Aravind got more melodious voice.
Shame on the part of Judges. 4 nasty judges. Abhijeet is reasonable when compared to rest with regard to recognizing talent. But he has loose tounge sometimes. He slipped couple of times.
Overall to me Irfan is VOI. He is a versatile singer.

Using such language on any contestant is a reflection of one’s own up bringing and here MIK has once again proved that his parents had failed miserably to inculcate good values and polite language in him.
He reminds of a drifter named MIK, he always said I dont know who is my father as my mum keeps giving me
different names , so I am confused and that is why I resort to cursing others and the same is happening here.
MIK, go suck on some eggs and than chew the shell, as that is what is left of you. Empty vessel…
May the best win and if Lata ji is saying the the VOI should go to Abhaas, than just give it to him as this biased attitude has been spoken by her.
Jatin said Harshit should get votes for his Dadi’s sake and I am sure poor Dadi will be singing on stage for the finals…
My Dadi and Dada are coming for the finals… and they will sing .. Hare Rama Hare Krishna and I hope all will have the hankies ready as there will be alot of crying shit and all.
Abhaas is still not 100% tuned to his voice and he just getting the little boy sympathy.. thank GOD , he did not bring his Dadi, otherwise she will have to sing ” Mujhe Dosti Karoga ” and later Aah Aab Lot Chale ….
VOI… simply stands for VOICE OF ISHMEET… soulful singer who has proven to all that he can indeed sing in all genres and Abhijeet was not wrong in praisng him as you cannot buy Abhijeet at any cost.
Sometimes the judges like Jatin-Lalit forget that they too cannot sing in many Genres so why are they asking the young contestants to do the impossible.
Ask Sukhwinder to sing in Sonu Nigam’s genre or vice versa, and than sit back and enjoy the original tone.

A poser – if someone claims that a person lost due to communal reasons..Then isn’t that someone also a person having communalist tendencies.
There is no proof that this was done just to show down a community(actually it should be religion, but..)or done because of some kind of bias other than music.
Then to assume directly and immediately that this happened because of so-called communalism and spreading rumour to that effect implies that the person who spreads this is a person who is a hate filled person who always jumps to the conclusion that anything wrong is due to communalism.
If such a person’s favorite wins then that justifies that his community’s champion has won justifying the superiority of his community.
Pls. ignore people who blame such losses to hindu-muslim divide..such people are not being +ve they are just sore losers who are -ve in nature.

SAREGAMA is a much better show in the sense that rigging happened only in the finals. VOI is making a mockery of itself by eliminating talent even ahead of it.
I appreciate VOI’s guts in presenting before Lataji the worst possible singers they have(Abbas is the only exception.
VOI has made Lataji’s job easy.
I can see only one reason why Ishmeet and harshit are still on the show.
Alkaji always says it so happens that when someone sings well they get eliminated. Happened to Irfan and Toshi. It can never be so with Ishmeet and Harshit.
From me Bye VOI, Hi Little champs.

FUTURE CONTESTANTS PLEASE NOTE
You will be in the finals if:
1. You can blindly copy and do an excellent job and have a dadi to garner votes for you.
2. You are a good gentleman, cry at the drop of a hat for everything that happens around you.
3. Singing talent: FORGET IT. Just don’t bother. Mind You, the first two conditions are so damn important.

I think you have summarised VOI very aptly in your last post. Those 3 points are like darts hitting bulls eye.
Yes indeed such a person will be called the VOI (muqaddar ka sikandar kahalayega).
Toshi and other’s like Arshpreet losing so early implies that singing ability(forget voice, looks etc..) is not important at all.

By right the following should have been in final 4 had the wild card entry not taken place:
Abhilasha
Irfan
Harshit
Ishmeet.
The wild card entry has spoiled the show and for that very reason people are putting negative comments about other participants.
Toshi n Abhas were lucky to come back through this whereas Irfan n Abhilasha were the unlucky ones.
So in that regard it is fair that Toshi has been eliminated.

What is it all drama! Indian Star Voice and Sony Indian Idol are playing with our emotioins. The man who got two bikes for getting highest vote is being eleminated. The real singer Toshi should have not been eleminated at this stage. What are the Judges doing up there. They should quit and have no right to sit there. Toshi who could sing Classical, Semi Classical, Rock songs, Pop Songs, Rap songs, Qawwalis, means each and every kind of song has been treated like this. Very Bad India. Ishmeet who is not a learned singer is save and gone into the top three. Very Very Bad really We are very much disappointed. THIS IS TOTALLY INJUSTICE TO TOSHI, TO MUSIC LOVERS, TO THE PUBLIC WHO WATCH STAR VOICE OF INDIA.
FROM NOW ONWARDS I WILL NEVER WATCH STAR PLUS. BECAUSE IT IS JUST WASTE OF TIME. THE DRAMAS ARE THEMELESS, THE PROGRAMMES ARE RUBBISH THEY PLAY WITH THE EMOTIONS OF THE PEOPLE.

I SAID IT ALREADY. I WAS SO SO SORRY.
I WAS very upset and i never meant it literally. I have “in good faith”, removed my abusive comment and i am writing this new one.
HAPPY NOW GUYS. and other people who were disturbed by my words, i can just say sorry to them. May Allah forgive me for that.
SECONDLY, if Toshi was not a good singer, then why the hell were all the judges saying that his GALA was the most tayyar. He was the most pakka guy on surs.
I liked Irfan the most. He should have been the VOI. but what can be done. If they were to conduct that wild card entry then the next week would have been best when only two contestants were remaining.
I will stand by my word,,,, ISHMAEET does not deserve this place he is at now. He is crying always and with not a very good galaa or surs. He hasnt even learned classical singing.
THIRDLY, when some one else sings or copies any other singer, they say its wrong, but when HARSHIT copies SANU or Kishore, then they say its very good talent that he can copy them.
This show is not a sympathy show and they should have never had given this choice to the voters. Only judges should be allowed this decision.
My finalists should have been Toshi and IRFAN. but now both of them are out.

MIK you are a good person and sound genuinely hurt with all this melodrama.
I think if there are any people who get really hurt in all this its the contestants.
Toshi was the best in terms of singing ability, but as shown before he was not getting adequate votes. Same with Irfan..hyderabad never votes enough.
Harshit..I don’t know, I never liked so much. He seems to have a genuinely good voice and range but seems to be intent on cheating his way through by copying.
Abhaas that way has the heart of a lion he plays, sings and will never cry or beg or play for sympathy or anything. He is there just to sing and enjoy.
Ishmeet, whatever punjab does, what do you expect him to do? resign and walk off? the system and his situation will never allow him to do it..At the same time music lovers like you and others will hate him and not buy his music. It means that even if he improves a lot and becomes a genuinely very good singer..he will always remain a victim of SVOI and all this communalism/regionalism for no fault of his.

The comments I am writing should have been comments from the Judeges:
Comments on Harshit:
1. He does not know how to pronounce ‘S’.
2. He sings very very easy songs that any bathroom singer with a 2 day training can sing.
3. Imitates Kumar Sanu and lacks original voice.
4. One thing he is doing well is he is proving the proverb : “Behind every successfull man there is a woman (his daadi)”.
Comments on Abhaas:
1. He sings very well according to his age but his voice at this stage won’t suit any actor.
2. Abhas is just 17, he is not even an adult. I don’t think he will be able to put up a lot of feelings for the songs he sings.
3. One of my freind says, if we replace the ‘h’ in Abhaas with a ‘b’, he would have been eliminated long back.
Comments on Ishmeet:
1. Now since he is getting votes, who can stop him. He sings particular brand of songs very very well. But, we have lots of singers like him.
Comments on Toshi:
He had a unique voice, he was a ready made singer. What happens if he is not star NOI, “jhoote surron ki jai jai kar”, he will recieve offers.

I am sorry to state that the some of the so-called Toshi fans (even I am a Toshi fan) are now showing their true colours. They were very secular, very intelligent, very much admired on this blog by many, very knowledgable about music, very friendly, very neutral till Toshi was in. Suddenly, they have started finding communal reasons for his ouster.

I dont know why you are shocked with Toshi’s elimination.
As I said before this is a lottery with some random rule changes and some rigging.
It is chaos and although chaos is also usually has structure (in physics) this chaos has no strucutre and no form. It is ridiculous.
I said before I wont be surprised if Ishmeet wins. Infact I have been wishing that he wins because that will be pardody to perfection. Give Gajendra the perfect conclusion of his own creation.
I am telling you guys, the top two will be Ishmeet and Harshit.
Ishmeet who has no talent reaches top 3 while priyani, toshi, irfan get eliminated.
Harshit who copies other singers and cannot sing difficult songs stays in top 3 while irfan gets eliminated.
Guys glamor and fame is never accorded to the most deserved. Very rarely has it happened especially in India.
Gajendra’s show is extoling degrading values – if you dramatise, if you are less talented, if you act “poor thing”, if you gain sympathy, you are bound to get fame and name. If you have talent and skills you are bound to struggle. But talent prevails in the end and no matter who wins this competition, the men will be sorted from the boys, the good from the average.
as I said in an earlier post, Ishmeet, if he wins he will get only a few songs here and there and then he will vanish in oblivion. while toshi, abhas, irfan and priyani will do well in the music industry.
So guys, dont stress out. Time will sort things out. Let Ishmeet win and give Gajendra the perfect conclusion of this chaotic show. That will teach him a lesson.

Some people are still putting down Ishmeet, saying that he has no talent, he cant sing etc etc.
I want to remind these fellows that Ishmeet reached the top 12 with judges marks not with people’s votes.
At that time judges used to be quite neutral and the communal bug had not bit them then. Suddenly when Ishmeet starting climbing up the stairs of success , judges and some pathetic bloggers here realised how can we see a Sardar making it to the top. Sardars r meant only to be insulted , how can we show respect to him.
Then all sort of stupid things were said about Ishmeet and still some ppl r continuing it. Its shameful.Atleast now please stop this non-sense.

Guys, Toshi got eliminated because Jatin-Lalit & Aadesh Shrivastava wanted their blue-eyed boy Harshit to win easily.
My humble appeal to all Toshi supporters is to vote for Ishmeet and defeat the designs of biased judges Jatin-Lalit & Aadesh Shrivastava.
Voting for Ishmeet would be a perfect revenge for Toshi supporters. So please come into action this Saturday and defeat Harshit (Copy-cat & blind-dadi boy).

I am following VOI from the beginning and sadly i came to know about this blog at the end of the show.
By watching VOI, now i think i was fooled. I really wanted TOSHI, ABHAS and HARSHIT in top 3. From the beginning I have seen many talented singer going out. I dont remember the name but the guy who was left out from top 14 was good as well… Priyani… Irfaan are the other two.
What has happened to Indian Janta? but as other people commented, makers of VOI might be manipulating the votes… we only hear that they received so and so votes…. this guy got highest votes…. where we do not have any proof or vote counting is not done in front of the public… we can not trust this counting system.
I really felt sorry for TOSHI when he was eliminated last time… and i thought he will be able to reach to the top 3… But I dont know Indian Jantaa’s Mind what they want…. Look at any reality shows…. starting from Indian Idol 1, 2, 3 and “Fame Gurukul”
There were good singers like Rahul Vaidya (Indian Idol 1), N.C. Karunya (Indian Idol 2), Amit Paul (Indian Idol 3) and Arijeet (Fame Gurukul)… but all of them were voted out by “GREAT INDIAN JANTAA”
Fame Gurukul was crowned to Bathroom Singer Qazi Taukir who was always in Danger Zone….
I dont know what people are voting for… all these reality shows has become like a Joke now….
Where is Qazi Taukir and Sandip Acharya Now a days? Does Any people who voted for them, know anything about them now?
But anyways its better that I am not in India and Wasting my Money for SMS on all these stupid shows which has NO REALITY. God will do the Best to All Talented Singers who are voted out from all these reality shows.

some people are self-contradictory. first they say judges brought Ishmeet up, then within the same breath they say that judges are putting Ishmeet down. Make up your mind guys.
Ishmeet is not the best of the lot and well said John Galt that even though there is now a 1 in third chance of him winning, it is sheer luck. Luck can only take you so far. If Ishmeet learns music then in 10 years time he might be ready to be a playback singer. Until then he will hang around the scene for a while then vanish.

To all people who do not like the show format and the the randomness of this show – PLEASE VOTE FOR ISHMEET. I totally like John Galt’s idea. We should give Gajendra a taste of his own medicine. He started the show with lot of drama and chaos hoping to attract viewership. But I am sure he still wanted a decent contestant to win. Lets all vote for Ishmeet and teach Gajendra a lesson. Let the worst contestant win so that this show will lose all viewership in future seasons.
Now I really hope Ishmeet wins.

i think its the first time since the past few weeks that i am excited about this show. I really want to try my best to garner support for Ishmeet. I will endlessly vote for Ishmeet from now on and ask my friends and relatives to vote for him. People who love music please do the same. Lets take this show to its logical conclusion. John Galt, you have started a revolution like the one in Atlas Shrugged. Men and women of honor lets “Shrug” off this ridiculous rubbish that GS and Star Plus is throwing at us. Lets give him the logical result that a public voting format can create. Lets make him regret. Because although our votes and sms will give him temporary viewership increase, if Ishmeet wins, the viewership will collapse in all future seasons. Its time Gajendra Singh goes down with this show.

Toshi’s Elimination is a big blow for VOI’s credibility. In fact if we notice the voting trends for Toshi, he started with a big bang in preliminary rounds and then was part of BEMISAAL 12 (were they really bemisaal 12????) by getting great appreciation from judges. Except for 1 or 2 OK performance, he performed remarkably well, that received huge round of applause, great appreciation from judges, and beautiful comments from his fans on different forums.
Toshi is the one who got highest number of votes in VOI history. Toshi is the one who got bike twice. Toshi is the one whose elimination was the touchiest and even judges along with public were in tears. Toshi is the one whose elimination was a planned in advance for commercial reasons. My question now is… Is he eliminated again for commercial reason? (I’m still praying for this reason to be true).
Another interesting fact is that in previous episode, when Irfan was eliminated, he once again got highest number of votes in VOI history be beating his own previous record. NOW, what went wrong in 3 days that he got lowest number of votes? I’m sure (and allot of others will agree with me) that voting graph of a singer like Toshi cannot tumble down at 90 degree angle. So there is definitely something wrong done by organizers of this show.
I did mention earlier that only reason to choose public voting structure is that it can be manipulated so easily without any evidence and sooner or later public itself stands responsible, and organizers / judges gets their loved ones promoted. I don’t think appointment of judges from different religions will make any difference, but appointment of more realistic, sagacious and well practiced judges will make a big difference, specially a neutral judge SHOULD NOT BE a person like JATIN LALIT who has joined race with other judges to promote his personal favorite (rather Sanjay Leela Banslai’s favorite to bag big contract for his forthcoming movies)
If was talk about other reality shows, I think except for Nach Baliye and Laughter Challenge, all other are well planned by the organizers of that specific show. Specially talking of Music shows, I do don’t think the percentage of deserving winners is more than 30%.
I don’t think there are any religious issues involved in this elimination, but regional issues might be involved. So please refrain from posting religious comments as this is the most sensitive issue in India these days.
John Galt has shown a good picture in his comments as well. Well said John!.

Guys i have one fear its not related to show. Its about Abhaas tat kid is a good singer has lot of potential but offlate he has been acting a bit over confident as if he is VOI coz of the too much hype the judges give for him esp Jatin Pandit my only fear is if he becomes VOI n judges still keep puttin him high his over confidence will ruin his career. I am not against this kid but jus a fear tat this much hype might jus kill him after all he is jus 17. I would like to see any1 other than the dhadi boy win the show. Jatin bhai u said ppl are not supporting Ishmeet coz he is a sardar tats not true. I have been saying and even many bloggers have said all the 12 are unique in their own way, all i want to say compared to singers eliminated Ishmeet is not tat good enough to be in Top 3. As of now the TOP 3 except for Abhaas (a lil bit) dont deserve to be in Top 3.Ideal top 2 would have been Irfan n Toshi coz tats wen this competition would have had some stuff in it

After Toshi’s elimination i don’t think i need to worry about friday night as i won’t be watcing VOI anymore. I have been late starter to VOI and from the time i am seeeing the judges are ga ga over Abhaas and Harshit so much that i really started hating both of this. Anyway now the result is clear its going to between jatin and latil who’s candidate is going to win. since other people judges goes for harshit it looks like harshit might win. Lataji is just an eye wash Ishmeet was retain so that credibility of Lataji could be maintain in this pre scripted drama Voice of Idiot show. In the final Ishmeet will be given all the songs which requires different type of tone which he lacks whereas harshit and abhaas will get songs according to their voice. The whole wildcard drama was done to bring back abhaas and toshi as toshi was their commercial reason and abhaas they want it.
Anyway they removed Irfan but good singer are known for their talent and soon he is going to be playback singer. Abhaas and Harshit can keep VOI and will live an a singer through shows singing Irfan toshi ishmeets songs to earn their living.
Ishmeet should try out for ghazals as his voice is soft and he can sing difficult with ease

Its a big shock to the music lovers that the VOI team intentionally eliminated Toshi again, Agni judges, Neutral judge and Gajj are responsible of Toshi’s elimination. They very well knew that either Toshi or Irfan comes to final then they will be the winner because as per Shaan announced that Lataji will select the VOI, so the VOI team removed Toshi and Irfan from reaching the finals. Now Agni has reached near to their preplanned game to crown Harshit as VOI.
I don’t understand that Harshit was trailing behind in votes in previous shows and all of a sudden he got the highest votes this week.
Toshi was getting the record breaking votes and was getting bikes also, it is not possible to believe that all of a sudden Toshi has got the least votes and got eliminated.
This is all preplanned as I had mentioned in my earlier posts. I had told also that VOI might give bike to Harshit this time and he got it.
Few people have mentioned in this blog to vote for the weakest contestant Ishmeet and make him winner of VOI just to teach lesson to Gajj, I would like to tell “My friends this is all preplanned, if you vote for Ishmeet then also they can make Harshit the winner because this is all preplanned and full of votes manipulation.”
I am sure this time also Toshi has got the highest votes, but the VOI team has manipulated the votes.

TOshi was eliminated as all th einternational vote he use to get couldn’t come this time as the network site was not opening up or rather was closed for this weekend to stop Toshi’s fan voting for him. So this time the voting was only through sms which can be manipulated very nicely. After this show i really starting disliking Jatin Latil for being partial to the participant showing their dislike so clearly in the show. They were good musician but very bad human and probably after this show there music ability will also go off

See the double standards of some people out here. Now so many ppl r saying that Toshi & Irfan elimination is due to communalism. When i raised issue of Ishmeet’s humiliation, Shashi and everybody else was shouting at me for being communal. Now what r u guys doing.
Comeon guys grow up Toshi & Irfan were eliminated not due to communal reasons, they just could not get the required votes. Their supporters were not as forthcoming as harshit & ishmeet’s supporters are. Why r u making an issue of Toshi & Irfan.
Toshi supporters should hv spent more time voting for him rarther than singing his praises in this blog section.

If Harshit is good then let him win on his abilities not on somebody’s disability….
The reason why I wrote SEWA’s post as ridiculous is because he is making fun of her by asking her to ride a bike…
We all should respect elder people… That’s all together different case irrelavant to the show… right or wrong?

This blog never ceases to surprise me, but today I came back to read this after a long time and am stunned. I have never seen in my entire career in music or otherwise, the depths that some of the comments have plunged to.
Sikh versus the rest, Muslims versus Hindus,Toshi versus Irfan, Priyani versus Abhilasha,religious quotas for the judges, amazing, just amazing, is there no end to how much we can twist and be manipulated.Some of my best friends and co -workers have been muslims and sikhs and the industry is full of talented people from both religions ans it is a gross insult to their abilities to suggest that they got there on the sole strength of their religious affiliations.
Please cast your mind to a long while back, where I had written that this show is a show that is following a script, like any other soap. Your voting or not voting for anybody is not making a whit of a difference, nor is your venting your spleen in favour or against a participant going to make any impact.
Unfortunately even the quality of singing is degenerated, making this show completely unwatchable. Gajendra Singh and Star have a lot to answer for with this pathetic attempt of theirs.
Therefore , my take: please be passionate , but be passionate about music, talent and art, not of the religious affinities of the people who manipulate you.

Dear All,
All these contestants have been living under one roof for months. None has ever complained of discrimination on the basis of religion, caste or region.
They are best of the buddies and have wept for each other. They have also helped each other in improving each other’s singing.
Its shameful that we have used this blog to reflect our weakness, regionalism and communalism.
If Ishmeet, Harshit and Abhaas are there then they are because of the format of the competition. Why demean these people and the competition. Why forget that this competition has given new meaning to each of the participant’s life.
Did anyone of you knew about Toshi, Ishmeet, Irfan, Abhaas or others?
The best would be the long time winner, but cannot take credit from VOI of India for giving all these competitiors a platform to stand.
If I love Toshi let me vote for him and if you love Ishmeet you have every right to vote for him.
By spitting venom against Ishmeet, Toshi, Harshit etc you all are demeaning music.

TOSHI ELIMINATED !!!! You got to be kidding mate! It is shocking. No doubt ! Do you guys think anyone of the finalists will ever get a chance to sing? This show is going the indian idol way. The best singers have been eliminated.

I always thought that people who criticize TOSHI’s singing is becoz of the competition Toshi is giving with their favorites…but after the confirmed news of his elemination those idiots r still criticizing him…some of them r saying that he was not deserving, he is a limited singer, he can only sing kawali and folk or sufi…people who r saying so plz listen to me…I am giving u an open challenge…within next 5 years u wil find toshi singing at least a sad song in every Hit film in indian film industry.
I’ve been listening to SRGMPA since my childhood…heard many singers singing in such contests…few of them become legend now a days…but none of them had the DARD in their voice at the age of 20 as Toshi has…yes the DARD remember the word…this is going to make TOSHI a legend.
I saw some freak saying Toshi can never be is the main stream…Avijeet from Indian Idol had a plain voice like Avaas and Harshit…where is he in the main stream…but i challenge u AMANAT from SRGMPA will be in the main stream…is his voice a plain voice…I cahallenge u people wont accept the voice of Harshit…becoz its just a copy…if it was acceptable then KUMAR SANU should have been singing all the songs now a days.
Again no TOP HERO of indian industry wont like Avaas to sing for them…he may be a good singer but his voice quality wont suit a dashing hero…his voice quality may suit DILIP KUMAR 30 years back.
In the coming 20 years in indian industry Toshi will be singing most of the sad songs and his songs will be immortal…its a challege…VOI doesnt know what they have lost.
Go and listen to the songs TERI DIWANI, TERE BIN, CHITTYIE, LAAGAN LAGI, FIRTA RAHOON, TARAP HO TUM, MAIN JAHA RAHOON these r not all folk or sufi songs…listen to them and compare other singers with him.
If Himesh R can be a successful play back singer then Toshi is gonna be the greatest singer in the indian history…the DARD in his singing will make him a legend.

Shashi, you blocked my posting. There was nothing wrong in my posting as an intelligent person need not read twice between the lines.
I have my own blog too but I will allow intelligent constructive posting and I had not used foul language but challenged those who are mentally handicap in their replies.
My respect for Harshit’s Dadi but if you read carefully you will notice that I am just trying to say that Harshit should avoid all these sympathy votes using his Dadi as a pawn and selfishly enriching himself with that.
No offence meant . An intelligent person need no interpreter to understand a simple posting.
Blog but do it professionaly and allow constructive criticism . Sangeeta had said that vote for Ishmeet as he is worst, just idiotic comments need to be corrected in the same manner… Eye for an eye..

No offence meant for the elderly, my respect for all remains. Disrespect is when we use these innocent bereaved oldies for selfish gains as in Harshit’s case. The bike riding was just a strong message to Harshit that he should stop all these sympathy using his poor old Dadi as a pawn in his gamble.
Debojit did the same in SRGMP 2005, Meri Maa Ka Sapna” sympathy votes and won and now he is still looking for his sapna in the music industry and HR has not given him any job nor has many of the leading producers.
To Mr.Shahstri, I agree with you that we must not have a religious divide over this VOI. All these contestants will make money someday but none will share it will you and me but we will share bitterness and hostility just because we dont look the same or share different beliefs.

I don’t think judges are for-Harshit and against Toshi. They doted Toshi all the time carrying him and hugging him.
Incidentally Adeesh had said he wants to slap Harshit once. What kind of bias is that?
Everybody has got bad comments after bad performances, but for Toshi. Toshi got very mild comments even when he was singing dismally. I am glad he’s going finally

It is my firm opinion that there has been no manipulation of votes in VOI. Because if it were so, Ishmeet would hv been the first person to have been eliminated. All the judges, VOI team is so much biased against him. They r just looking for a chance to throw him out.
It is just the fair counting of votes that has saved him.
So my conclusion is that vote counting has been absolutely fair.
Just because Toshi & Irfan hv been eliminated, you cant blame the vote counting system.

yes it is sad that toshi was eliminated, worse bcoz he was used as a pawn in the whole show.i am not sure whether it was based on communalism??but definitely he was used to mint money for the show.in a way i am glad that irfan and toshi were eliminated, bcoz they r definitely going to b flooded with offers.they neednt have reached the finals to get work, name and fame.
i am really not sure abt abhaas being jatins[the music directors ]favourite, tho its always mentioned in this post.whether he is jatins fav or not…his is definitely a talent unparalleled, waiting to b unleashed in this music industry.
tho many ppl have said ishmeets voice is sweet, yes it is.but it is very ordinary, nothing to rave about.
harshit also has a very good voice and excellent throw, a very strong voice, but he has to develop his own style and individuality.
the sad part about these music shows is, we have a very very strong tendency to compare these contestants with the singers of yester years.i guess it cant b helped bcoz the contestants have to sing these legends songs.
this is for the ppl who keep talking abt sweet voices and hoarse voices.i dont think KL saigal SAAb was a sweet voice, mukesh saab definitely didnt ahve a sweet voice by anyones long stretch of imagination. but he survived.for long, hes definitely my most favourite singer.its all a question of sur and taal and how well u can harness u r voice and keep it under control.if anyone has knowledge of classical music, what abt gangubai hangal ji, bhimsen joshi ji, more recently shubha mudhgal ji.they r not sweet voices and didnt come to the top based on their voices.this i had posted in an earlier thread also.
but i guess here, the whole thread has degenerated to calling names etc.
its a blog for svoi, not based on music, but based on contestants personal lives and attitudes, not on their singing abilities.
sorry, shashi, u started off this blog with good intentions, its still going strong thanks to lot of sensible ppl contributions.

JATIN: is show me bahut sachchayi chalti hai. Lifafa kholne thak swayam shaan ko bhi patha nahin chalta ki koun eliminate hua hai. Ye Toshi aur Irfan badmashee hain bahut achha gakar dilon ke churayee kar lete hain. Choonki is show me sachayyee chalti hain, un donon ko eliminate kar diya.
Lataji: Teek hai, Jab sur gaya to sar gaya, par honesty gaya tho sab kuch hai. VOI is the best.

I thought I must support an innocent person as he is being attacked for no fault of his. It was with this episode that this programme took a controversial turn. After the elimination of Toshi I really want to see Ishmeet to win SVOI though I still believe he is the weakest contestant in this show. I will definitely vote for him next time and the reasons are:
1. As Toshi & Irfan eliminated (The correct word should be slaughtered) by the stupid 5 judges & director’s communal ism & favor ism.
2. Harshit – The Dadi cry baby who always mentioned and cried for vote that he can do something for his blind Dadi whose ttrue color revealed after the last episode when he mentioned that he will build a house for him & will give the card to his parents if he wins. So nothing for Dadi!!!!! And also the stupid judges favor ism for him . Perhaps it was preplanned by them and the director to make him SVOI. Even for your information, hope all the judges knew Harshit very well before this show which can be clearly guessed if you watch the Lucknow edition where one of the stupid judge Alka was doing some Drama just before Harshit’s performance.
3. Abhaas – Jatin & Alka’s fav one. During the Wild Card Entry all the special judges (Who are much & 1000 times better than these stupid judges) didn’t choose Abhaas but by the shocking veto power, Mr. Jatin Pandit choose him. This is the only reason more than good singing and performance that Abhaas is here.
4. Ishmeet – Though according to me the weakest contestant in this show , I really want to see him becoming SVOI as this show is now running on communal isms & favor isms. And only Ishmeet’s win can slap their faces and stoned at their heads.
So thats the truth.

If we look at the larger picture – this show has achieved for Toshi what he otherwise would never have done himself – he has been noticed by all and his talent and genre recognized. I am positive that his kind of songs will chase him. Even if Harshit wins this game – he will be just 1 of many singers already struggling in bollywood. Where is Debojit today? Or other winners? I am sure Nihira got more opportunities in real world then any of them.

Well whoever is gone is gone and there is no point discussing about them in this blog.I agree some good singers(IRFAN n TOSHI) have been eliminated and their voice would remain with us forever.
But its useless to discuss Sumitra,Mirande,Arshpreet..or even Irfan n Toshi and compare with the current finalists.These people are no longer in the race.
I am glad to hear that some more people have decided to vote for ISHMEET…no matter what d reasons are..I think we all have different perceptions but as long as you support Ishmeet its all good!I surely believe he is better that Harshit or Abhas.
And just to add on even if u think he is the weakest contestant,let me remind u that he is the safest contestant of SVOI.
ITS NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU THINK,ITS ABOUT WHAT APPEALS TO THE MASSES.
(As one of the guest judges made a comparision…that a movie may not be liked by a few ppl but it might be the most popular movie because people like it.Its made for the people and they must enjoy it. Similarly this show is for the public and whoever gets the maximum support will survive)
I request you all not to put in any communal angle bcoz if it was unfair voting system then ISHMEET wouldnt have gone that far.Sikhs are less that Muslims in India but still the support for Ishmeet is consistent.
We will miss Irfan and Toshi in the finals.But I have always supported ISHMEET and I am glad that he is through!!!

I was never fan of Ishmith. I always like Irfan(if u really read my past comments). So there is no point of communism here. I always said, toshi is a good singer but not fit as a playback singer. Take example of Parvin sultana..what great singer but get a very few songs. So, cool down do not take much into ur heart. If u guys r so much into Toshi, funding the money for him and release the album. Again i m not for communism, but after his elimination, every toshis’ fan r showing there true color, and easy in india to give the name of communism. Once again Irfan was definately a versatile but BIG NO for Toshi. It is up to u guys to accept it or a not.

TOSHI gone.. well i was never a fan of thosi but liked his great ability of singing But sometime overdoes his ability as sonu nigam rightly said “CHECK ME OUT ” things happen to him … I was really unhappy about the WILD CARD entry part … its a competition where viewers vote matters ..it your vote only decides the outcome of the competition .. yeah thats true people tend to vote for regional favorites …. the voting system is wrong we should stop multiple voting from the same number or ip for same contestant .. that might help making a worthy singer win ..

Good thing is Toshi will get some more time to get his siging much better and better…Whoever is trying raise a question of communalism/regional bias etc, you guys should know that this is something that no one can eliminate when it comes to public voting. Nothing can be done. You guys should have voted for Toshi, you did not do it because you wanted to save your money or became lazy enough to send few SMSs. Don’t complaint to Indian citizens.
Ishmeet is doing better and better now…Harshit is siging very nice, but if he wins, he needs to adopt a different style for sure

Yes I agree with osp that this time also Toshi have got highest number of votes, but again VOI team played politics and eliminated Toshi. Toshi was getting record breaking highest votes and got two bikes and in the very next show he got the leas votes, it never happens like this, no one can beleive. I think Toshi fans should go the VOI sets and destroy everything and burn it and stop this show. This will teach a lesson to Gajj and team.(I don’t like violence but VOI management and Agni and neutral judges deserves this)

Most postings on Orkut are for the nitwits, but this one takes the cake. I read earlier on this blog of a link on Orkut that ala a Tarun Tejpal expose promised “to reveal all about Harshit”, so decided to take a look. What is written there is so unbelievably fake and hilarious, I thought I must come back here and share this with all the folks here who believe that the gospel truth is what they want it to be.
I have no love lost for Harshit’s style of singing(which by the way is pretty pedestrian), but at the same time we can’t let outright lies dominate or even shape our thinking. Harshit is no relative of either Peter Mukherjea (this I know for sure!!)or Mayawati (this I am safely assuming!), so while there may or may not favoritism for Harshit from Star/Gajendra/judges , it is not definitely not because of what is written on that asinine fictional post in orkut.
Oh by the way, if anybody wants to watch a music reality show, should watch the one on Sahara, atleast it is not pretentious, does not make claims of suroon ke saath samjhauta et al and you see the show with such low expectations that you actually enjoy parts of it, almost like a David Dhawan, Govinda movie!

hey Its a shock again… Its unfair and illogical. Toshi was the top choice last week and this week eliminated. I definately feel the result is already reserved. Judges want Harshit to be VOI and though some clear indications that it may be abhaas also. if that happens i will be happier. coz i truly belive hat Abhaas, Irfan and Toshi are the best three. it is ok if anyone of these wins. but as irfan and toshi eliminated now the only good thing can happen is Abhass crowned as VOI..
i believe that a good voice is required but without class i think we will move into wrong direction for Indian music. Abhaas and Toshi are class apart from other contestants. And We dont want another sonu nigam or kumar sanu or any copycat singers.. The new should have their own voice like toshi, abhaas and Irfan..

Well all said and done, but most people here and the judges of VOI are not being able to digest the fact that a Sardar is going to win VOI. These people can tolerate a good for nothing Gurkha winning Indian idol, but they cannot tolerate a deserving sikh winning the contest with honour and dignity.

I’m bit confused over few things..
1) At the initial stage Harshit was telling that he’s an Orphan and getting the sympathy of all.
2) Then he introduced his blind Granny.
3) Last week he was telling he gonna build a new house for his mother & father
What the hell is wrong????
Then in the selections stage (I can remember) there was a guy who could sing (just as good) as Sonu.. the judges asked him to sing another sonu’s songs and they siad that they cannot select him coz INDIA DOES NOT WANT ANOTHER SONU…. then last week when Harshit was immitating only Abhijeet was complaining WHY, WHY WHY !!!!!!
All I feel is that they have already decided who’s gonna win….

Dinesh and Jatin I dont understand that why? you people are fighting with each other by using abusive languageon in this blog, what you think is it good to do all this when you have nothing to get from it I will advise you both to say sorry to each other, like gentleman. I am hereto say that Toshi’s elimination was due to Lalit and Adesh when in one recent episode Lalit criticised Ishmeet that he sings in one particular style he cannot sing in any other yoner and when Toshi sang then Abhijeet said that Toshi cannot sing in any other style as he sings only in Nusrat’s and Rahat Fateh Ali khan on which Lalit got angry and again criticised Ishmeet, but to the surprise of everyone when Ishmeet sang “Mashah Allaha” then Abhijeet said that everyone must see that Ishmeet has the ability to sing any type of song, that was a superb performance of ISHMEET.I will once again request and ask the people of India to vote to ISHMEET to be the VOICE OF INDIA.

the show is also scripted not a reality .. in last episode when harsit completed his singing SHAAN commented it almost sounded like CD and asked abhijeet to comment ..why abhijeet why not other judges . like it was said to shann please point out this copy cat and ask abhijeet to say the rest .. it all seemed pre-planned so the sympathy factor comes with harsit
and guess what thosi’s gone .. though he deserve it as he was a wild card entry (WC part was bad ) but sorry to say SVOI has put its dignity and creditability in question ??

Thanks, it was also really nice to see your and Shastriji’s posts amidst such abuses people are throwing at each other. I hope Shashi would delete these obnoxious messages and make this blog a more pleasant one to visit.
Yes you are right, we have a tendency to compare the song sung by the participants with the original singer. But we forget that the voices of these legends also sounded pretty ordinary in very early recording days (Recording technologies and acoustics in those days discounted). Everyone needs time and confidence to mature as a singer and also the voice quality improves with the age.
I really dont know who is going to win. But definitely within the remaining lot, I think Abhas has the best ability. Who the winner is a separate issue as it involves many other factors of TRP, making money etc. Toshi, I agree, was used for generating more SMSs.
Even though people are throwing abuses at each other, but still we need a few handful of people to bring it back on the track.

I am just laughing at some people’s reactions…I am shocked to see so many people are involved emotionaly in these reality shows..This is what the producers of these shows want. They want to earn more money..u know what..saregamapa has earned 110 crores from just 24 shows of challenge 2007..Can u imagine? This is more than the profit of two big budget hindi films (eg. Krish film has earned 60 crores but it took 3 years to make the film) but these reality shows earn in just three months..I am really feeling how stupid we are..Its not the fault of these shows . Its our fault..as a audience.
My strong feeling towards such shows is
1. Just enjoy the singing of upcoming talented singer
2. Feel proud that these newcomers get good platform before the actully start their singing struggle
3. Don’t waste money on voting ..you are already paying charges for these channels (Zee cost £15 in uk)
4. Increase your musical knowlege by healthy discussions ( In saregamapa Mussarat sung ‘Sawaarye’ from Bandit Queen ..i haven’t heard this song before..i am thankful to saregamapa for introdusing this song to me)

Please control yourself and be calm. The way you react sometimes is not worthy. Definitely, Guru would not be happy. If you are a true sikh then please learn to control your anger. If you react the same way like Dinesh than whats the difference.
Also for God sake stop demeaning Toshi. He is a great singer in his own right. I am a great fan of Ishmeet but that does not give me the right to use abusive language against Toshi, respect him for his talent.
I am happy the way you took up Ishmeet’s case but at the same time do not hurt the feelings of Toshi’s fans.
Remember what gurbani preaches “Mith bolra jee har sajjan swami mora” Ishmeet has the sweetest voice, so being his fan you should have the sweetest words.

Way to go $hashi, this is the real point that everyone needs to understand.
Organisers of the show have nothing to do with sentiments or likes / dislikes of the public. They are out there to do business and poor participants get nothing out of it. Only one gets some million RUPEES, for which there are no criteria. Winner is not declared on the basis of number of votes, but is declared just to make few personalities, and not public, that actually spends hell lot of money.
So request you all, to please hold on to your nerves and don’t get on others nerves!

i just wish ppl dont waste their hard earned money sending sms and phone calls, to fill up some jokers coffers, who cares two hoots about u, and manipulate shows to their hearts content.
honestly, if ppl didnt vote, in the remaining episodes, the next round of shows will definitely produce decent and eminent ppl as judges who cant b questioned.
i dont know how many ppl remember, wen sunidhi chauhan was selected as the winner of meri awaaz suno, she was 10 or 11 yrs old.i am not sure, i think she came to play back singing, after she crossed her puberty, which made sense, bcoz u r voice does crack as u grow. smart move.anyone can correct me if i am wrong.
at present abhaas is the best bet, hes absolutely versatile, yes, his voice will undergo a change in the next couple of yrs, thats no reason not to crown him the voi.or is there??

I am surprised by the reaction of some of the bloggers towards me. I dont pass personal comments or abuse any blogger if i dont agree with anybody’s point of view. What right does the other person have to abuse me.
I was quite taken aback by the abusive message a blogger wrote for me today and a bad message sent by me was an instant reaction which i should not hv done.But if a person starts hurling abuses at you for no reason, sometimes the mind does not work properly.
My request to all my friends here is to write to this blog with a cool head. This is not Parliament house where we have to fight with each other over non-issues.This is a forum to discuss about VOI and it should be done in an amicable manner.
Anyways Gajji is planning to make more money with VOI little champs.

In every music contest the ladies complain that inspite of being talented girls get eliminated in early stages. In VOI too Sumitra and Arshpreet were much better compared to the 3 finalists. So I suggest to Gajji or some other TV producer to start a music reality show exclusively for girls, where girls can show case their talent and win.
I think a ladies only music reality show will also be a hit with TV audience.

I have seen whenever a contestant is eliminated, there is so much crying and drama. But when Sumitra and Mirande were eliminated no body shed a single tear for them.
My cousin used to say that when Ishmeet will be eliminated instead of crying everybody will celebrate.
But with the Grace of God and people, Ishmeet never gave his detractors chance to celebrate and has made it to the top 3.
There are some interesting features about Ishmeet that distinguish him for others:-
1) First of course the Turban he sports.
2) He is the only candidate left from Prithvi team.
3) He is not formally trained in classical music, but still sings so well.
4) He has the sweetest voice among all the contestants.
5)He is a quiet and sober boy.
6) Lastly, what distinguishes him from all other top 11 contestants is that he is the only contestant who is be-spectacled.
I am not sure if any body has noticed this fact but only Ishmeet wears Specs among all the contestants.

After the elimination of Toshi I really want to see Ishmeet to win SVOI though I still believe he is the weakest contestant in this show. I will definitely vote for him next time and the reasons are:
1. As Toshi & Irfan eliminated (The correct word should be slaughtered) by the stupid 5 judges & director’s communal ism & favor ism.
2. Harshit – The Dadi cry baby who always mentioned and cried for vote that he can do something for his blind Dadi whose ttrue color revealed after the last episode when he mentioned that he will build a house for him & will give the car to his parents if he wins. So nothing for Dadi!!!!! And also the stupid judges favor ism for him . Perhaps it was preplanned by them and the director to make him SVOI. Even for your information, hope all the judges knew Harshit very well before this show which can be clearly guessed if you watch the Lucknow edition where one of the stupid judge Alka was doing some Drama just before Harshit’s performance.
3. Abhaas – Jatin & Alka’s fav one. During the Wild Card Entry all the special judges (Who are much & 1000 times better than these stupid judges) didn’t choose Abhaas but by the shocking veto power, Mr. Jatin Pandit choose him. This is the only reason more than good singing and performance that Abhaas is here.
4. Ishmeet – Though according to me the weakest contestant in this show , I really want to see him becoming SVOI as this show is now running on communal isms & favor isms. And only Ishmeet’s win can slap their faces and stoned at their heads.

lets analyze why irfan was eliminated.prithvi has 2 singers one irfan fan support: medium performance: consistent second ishmeet fan support:very good performance :consistentnow as per finale situation they have only 1 place.its between ishmeet or irfan so ishmeet was selected as prithavi judges have more confident on him plus he has fair chance to win this contest.now prithvi has guaranteed spot .one more more thing abhijeet wanted to have irfan for finale rather than ishmeet but they dont want to have another drama with alka as she is in favour of ishmeet due to his good support.prithavi played safe.
in agni we have 3 singers abhas toshi harshit one more thing agni judges have already chosen their top 2 as lalit already declared harshit as most favorite singer for abhas jatin said if he is out i will also leave remember jatin has broughten abhas through veto as he wasnt even selected by wc judges.now we have 2 spots left in final nobody was supporting toshi who has to go out toshi so this is how you got top 3 for finale.
As every thing is fair in love and war so both team judges played safe with better chance to win this

I cant express how sad I am with this news again….Toshi !!!!..I just hope u left with ur head held hgh…..after his “Saaiyan” and “Main Jaha Rahoon” he is voted out…?? its a joke…I have no words to express those preformances of his, I knew deep down that he would never win, that was obvious but Im just so disappointed that I every Fri and Sat I used to look forward to his prefromances….*sigh**

The viewing public had enough time to make up their mind. It is very difficult to pin point what they are looking for. Sometimes it does not make sense. They will vote for whomever they like. They may not have any rational reason. It is a matter of heart. They vote for someone because they like him, not because they like his performance.
Ishmeet cannot sing qawali. He should have been out based on performance. Harshit should have been out two or three episodes ago when he clearly forgot the lyrics of two songs in the same program.
Abhas is the most versatile contestatnt left. But UP and Pubjab have largest number of voters.

Let’s not get communal on this issue. I admire Toshi to the hilt and doesn’t mean that i belong to his religion or whatever. I don’t think we have anything to boast about being secular inasfar as this show is concerned. We are a pack of plain stupid people who ignore talent to prove a point.
THE FAVOURITE 3: TOSHI, IRFAN, ABBAS . That would have been a brilliant Finale, tough for Lataji. The most considerate VOI keeping her age into consideration has made her job easy.

In my view finale of VOI will be the worst among Indian Idol, SaReGaMaPa & VOI.
Hope after completion of VOI no channel will give contract to Gajendra Singh for being biased towards Money and not real talent

I have been following this blog since last two-three months but for the first time i am writing any comment.
This is because now i am feeleing cheated by the show This particular show made a lot of promise in the begining but sinks all. This show has most talented singers in the begining but all scrap left at the end. i dont know what is going on, whether they are ultra honest or extremly biased. This cant be happen that a singer tops the chart one week and lost in another week, and this happen to Toshi twice. My brother always said that no muslim can win this show . and this is what happened.
Here few are saying that the surds population is less than 5% so how Ishmeet is through to top three by just Surds vote. but the fact is every surd vote in thousand to make sure their fav Ishmeet is safe.
Now the competition remains among ‘Sachha Sardar’, ‘Dadi maa ka pota’ & ‘child artist’.
Star Plus please dont air such reality prefixed shows in future.

The Miyas are very bad losers. See when Amanat & Raja lost to Anik, these people said that there is manipulation and communal voting. Now when Irfan & Toshi hv been eliminated again they r again crying that this is communalism and manipulation of votes.
Comeon guys take defeat sportingly. Did Sumitra say she got eliminated because she was a South Indian. Did Arshpreet say she got eliminated because of her religion. Did Mirande say she got out because of being a Gujarati. Then why do these people everytime bring up the communal issue.
Grow up guys. Irfan Ali has already got work with Bhatt camp.

The show was very nice and worth to watch till last few episods .. elimination of Irfan and now Toshi has seriously effected the credibility of the show .. if you listen to their performances as a music lover .. u will feel that they really were treat to listen .. both of them have a great control on sur’s and can sing almost all types of songs.. any ways now i think abhaas should come up with the victory as he is better then rest of two guys.. i hve read all of these comments we shouldn’t be that serious about the eliminations .. it is obvious that all of this is already decided .. may be i m wrong .. but what i think is that irfan knew that he will be eliminated .. one can watch the face expression of irfan on his elimination … he was very much relax .. coze he knew that bhatt’s hv signed him for a movie song .. which is far better than being in the contest.. the indian film producers and directors are much stronger then the judges and director of SVOI.. they wanted irfan not to be engaged for a month or so with SVOI .. so they got him in their movie song .. same will go with Toshi .. u will see soon he will get an offer too … but seriously i wanted to listen more of him .. any ways lets hope for the best .. and keep on supporting our singers..

It will be slap on VOI team if Lataji refuse to come to the finals, because it will be insult to her and the music world because the real talented singers are eliminated and left are only three monkeys, Lataji will feel very bad after seeing these remaining singers with no talent or less talent jumping to win the VOI. And I think that these stupid Agni and Neutral judges will disrespect Lataji by negative comments on her judgments just to see their Favorite Harshit jump with VOI title. But, they made way to Harshit by removing the deserving singers Toshi and Irfan.
And I would like to tell to all those people who commented that Toshi and Irfan got eliminated because their fans did not vote them more, the real fact is that it is all preplanned by VOI management and Agni and neutral judge. It is full of Votes manipulation.
I read somewhere that the final will be on 24th November this means there will be one more episode where one more singer gets eliminated and in the final only two singers. I would like to see Jatin’s comments when they eliminate Ishmeet next, because by doing this again the VOI management make way for Harshit, thinking that in the finals they or Lataji can give judgment that Abhas is a good singer but his voice still needs to be improved to fit for any film actor and they will crown Harshit the VOI.

Believe me, it’s already decided that the stupid judges will crown Harshit as SVOI. Lata Ji is only for show up. The judges knew very well if Toshi, Irfan, Ishmeet or Abhaas reach to the finale then it was impossible for them to make Harshit winner. But as Toshi & Irfan is not out there any more I will definitely vote for Ishmeet as he is the only one now have less support from the judges then the two ones.

Iam really very surprised in reading the comments of many bloggers who on one side praise their participant and on the other side when he is eliminated then they speak against him, i could not understand the policy behind, Any how I dont want to indulge in all this , but I would like to ask Mayank that what he wants to say in his comment, he should clear up his mind because comparison he made in his comment is not clear, e.g.comparing Emon&Amaanat with Ishmeet,Onik&Amit with Abhaas, Raja and Prashant with Harshit, what criteria has he chosen.I do agree with you that Irfan,Ashpreet and Mirande can become good singers but not Toshi and Sumitra as they are the singers of only one yoner they have got only one style, Toshi has Fateh Ali Khan and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan style and Sumitra has Club song style. Singing a hit song is very easy than singing your own lyric song. If u r an avid music fan then u must have already realized that the three finalist of VOI are worst in compare to the finalist of Indian Idol & SaReGaMaPa 07. That is what i was trying to say. comparing Ishmeet with Amanat or Emon is ridiculous because Amanat & Emon are very talented and learned music a lot whereas Ishmeet is nothing in compare to both.
similarly for Harshit & Abhaas, they are horrible in compare to Raja, Onik, Amit or Prasant.
Onik & Amit are also just seventeen but they are much matured singers then Abhaas.
Raja is a versatile singer whereas Prasant is a better copycat then Harshit.
Toshi & Sumitra poses a very different voice and they both learned clasical a lot thats their strong point. what do u have to say about Usha Uthap, Jaspinder Narula, Nusrat Saheb, Sukhwinder and very recently Atif. They all have their own peculiar style of singing still they are versatile in their own way.
Jasbir I am not insulting Lata ji, the only insult she made to herself is by judging “Andhon Main Kana Raja”.
There is no elegibility required in selection. so one who score 4 is still better than the ones scoring 1, 2 or 3 but that is what u expecting from a national talent hunt show.A BIG ‘NO’.
and lastly you are right in saying music neither is Hindu, Muslim or Sikh it has no religion but but but ‘voters’ have.

Yes the finals will be between two so next week result spoiler is harshit as he is suppose to be the topper and will get a bike in this episode as is said in these blog and ishmeet in the chakravat and harshit is out most probably [take a bike and out of the competition] so the finals is between ishmeet and abhaas. No matter what even if all the ishmeet fan stop voting he will still come into the final. Bringing Lataji in the final is just an eye wash she will not have much choice to select from as Ishmeet will suffer to sings songs which will not suit his voice so will be eliminated though the voting is there for finals too. But with so much of rigging it is difficult not to believe rigging won’t happen in the final. Whatever it is the talented singer like Irfan will shine irrespective of VOI VOI with its elite judges have become noise of India i started switching of channel as soon as the singer finish there songs to aescape the crap of judges

When i started watching VOI i too was told that harshit is an orphan and his blind dadi took care of him. Later when they allowed parents to come harshit came with his father and dadi. Later i came to know that harshit mother is also there and she is a working mother. So with two income Harshit is not from so poor family in fact he was studing in college for his physictherapy course which does cost some money to join.
Last episode he forgot to mention his dadi too while telling about his dream for himself and his parents. What sucks is lalit is still behind dadi. This guys sucks

yes i too thought the finals is best of three but the official sites says the voting will again continue on 3-4 nov and then on 10-11 nov. Since only three are there i suppose th eVOI are very strict about whom they want and so they will make it best of two with Ishmeet the weakest of them will be there in the final and THe CHOOSEN one will be VOI. SInce Harshit is getting the bike they will remove him next week. On 10 NOv th evoting will be again taking place but Lataji too will have equal voting right so accordingly the VOI will be selected based on 50% Lataji and 50% voting i suppose. Out of all the four voices, only Harshit has the true charming male voice.
1. Toshi- Sings well but his voice is not clear and sounds similar to that of Anup Jalota.
2. Abhhas- sings well but his voice sounds that of a child who has just passed 10th standard.
3. Ishmeet- Sings good, but his voice is very dry and without any juice. I wish Harshit all the best.

I think Abhaas sounds more matured of his age. If you close your eyes and listen to him, he sounds like a professional playback singer.
During the introductory song, “jeena yahan marna yahan…”, I think Harshit sounded close to Mukesh sahab.
We cannot blame the singers for being similar to someone and fight over why they try to copy. They are singing songs of other singers.
In my opinion, as long as the singer sounds “sureela” without faltering any note or “sur” or “taal”, he is doing a good job.

If Toshi is the greatest singer how come he still doesn’t have any singing offers while contestants of SaRrGaMa like Amanat, Raja, Aneek, sumedha, poonam have already done playback singing and have more offers ??? Thats because he suffers from poor voice quality. Toshi definetly has better singing talent than Raja but Raja has better voice quality. Voice quality plays a big part people. Toshi fans are not willing to accept this but this is very true!!!! Bigeest example is Udit narayan. He doesn’t have great classical skills and we never see him doing sargams in his singing but the fact is that he completely ruled playback singing in 1990′s. Why?????? Because of his GREAT VOICE QUALITY

I certainly believe TOSHI should have been in the finals.I expected him to go a long way in SVOI specially the way he was brought back.He was unbeaten in his style.
But my votes have always been and are for ISHMEET.His sweet original voice really touches hearts.
It is publicised that ABHAS is just 17yrs old and he is really good for his age.But we all havent even realized that even ISHMEET is 18yrs old.Infact his voice is so good that noone can even imagine that.
Abhas:Brought in by veto.Was not favoured by the public or even external judges.He is still there because of Jatin’s ego.
Harshit:Dadi issue dragged too much.He is still there because of sympathy and Lalit.Infact Lalit and Adesh already declared him VOI.
Lets see what happens next.
I had expected Toshi to be SVOI but in the current circumstances I want Ishmeet to be SVOI.

First of all I want to clarify that I am not against Toshi. I completely agree that he has the best singing talent in VOI singers. My only concern is with his voice quality. Just because one or two music director pairs promised him songs in emotions doesn’t mean that he will get a lot of work. It has been proven in past that these music directors promise songs to these contestants but never come back to them. Sajid-Wajid salim-Suleimaan themselves dont get a lot of work. Don’t you think that to make sure they get a lot of work in future they will stick to established singers?? I hope Toshi can get a lot of work but I seriously doubt it because of his voice quality. I think singers like Kailash khair and Sukhwinder singh have much better voice qualitiies in same yonar as toshi’s. As fas as romatic songs are concerned there are already sonu’s and shaan’s and udit narayans.
If you are talking about nusrat fateh ali khan’s yonar beleive me musarrat in saregamapa was much better.

Well its sad that Toshi has gone and somebody is 100% right in thinking that Late Nusrat ji has come back in Toshi.
Now as we can see that the judges have made complete mockery of the show recent example being Lalit-Adesh cuddle when Harshit was declared safe (obviously no emotions for the fantastic irfan). Jatin sang the blind dadi’s old song again and forgot abbhas completely and who used to be his favorite contestant so far. Look at Alka she was trying to play a joke “Abhijeet hotey to irfan ke janey se tod phod kar dete”, this is height of sickness.
It seems to me its a complete scripted story now.
Now at the same time i agree harshit is good but definitely not to such a level where the so called judges can just start insulting other contestants by favoring a specific contestant.
I sincerely pray that lata ji makes a wise decision and not listen to the crap which they have offered for so many months. Irfan got what he deserved already. Toshi got what he deserved. Mark my words Harshit wont get anything other than shitty Lalit-Jatin and there doggy Adesh’s songs.
I DECLARE THIS CLEARLY AND EVERYBODY MARK MY WORDS – I AM GOING TO SPONSOR IRFAN – TOSHI TO COME AND PERFORM IN NEW ZEALAND.

Weird! People fighting like cats and dogs over contestants and his /her abilities. Toshi is good, no two doubts about it, but Mussarad Abbas (The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa guy who sings Sufi music the best) is much better in the same genre. To be honest, Toshi deserved it. Irfan is 100 times better than Toshi.
Ishmeet.. well.. he gets away singing the easy numbers, but yes, the Masha Allah song was rendered quite beautifully.. But then, whats the point of proving what aces you got up ur sleeve when the competition is nearing its end?
To be honest, if someone was really talented(unpolished and immature maybe), it was Abhilasha. She has the talent and the voice.. Trust me.. 5 years down the line it wont be Toshi ruling the marquee or even Ishmeet & Harshit, it would be Abhilasha, Irfan and Abhaas. Music knowledge(as I hv read ppl comment above) is not on how many concerts or stage shows u give, but what suits the ear! An excellent donkey with 100 shows of experience will nevertheless only bray!

Just now I was reading various comments of the blogers (other than this blog) which I am reproducing below just to share some fun amidst such tensions on this blog. Please dont take them to heart.. it is just for some fun.. and in any case some of them are not mine.
1) With these three finalists, may be this time Shaan would say “Sachche Suaron (Pigs) ki Jay Jay kar” instead of “Sachche Suron Ki Jay Jay Kar”.
2) Abhaas and Abhilasha (both 17) are also participating in VOI kids.
3) Gajendraji did not provide glycerine to Sumitra (partiality) so she did not cry on her elimination. Next time she would carry her own.
4) Harshit forgot the lyrics and her Daadi reminding him the same.
5) After recording Bhatt sahab’s film song.. Irfan says .. Sachche Hindustani ko vote dijiye.
6) Toshi gives one of his bikes to Abhijeet for going on job-hunt together. He adopts him as a father.
7) Next VOI has five judges : Jatin Pandit, Lalit Pandit, Sulakshna Pandit, Vijyeta Pandit, and Aadesh

I think you are right. Toshi supposed to be in Finale in any angle. He is an excellent singer who can single handedly turn an episode with Grand Finale with much challenging & interesting. But you know it’s all planned by the 5 stupid judges & director. This time my votes will go for Ishmeet. Because he is not the judges fav’s one like the other two’s. Because in my opinion the judges might already planned to crown the Dadi cry baby Harshit. But only Ishmeet’s win can slap them hardly. Best of luck for Ishmeet.

To all my good friends on this blog that somehow the other they have agreed in their own words that manuplation is being done in the counting of votes anyhow we cannot do anything as no one of us the part of the selector. I have to say to some of my friends on this blog who say that late Nusrat ji has come back in Toshi I dont understand that on what reasons this was said, I didnot see anything of that sort, “arre bhai Kahan Nusrat saheb aur Kahan Toshi”. firstly i am sure i am old enough to be your aunty. i am a true blue indian from kerala a very small literate state and hence am used to interacting with cultured people who respect others out of an inherent quality of good breeding ( you cant alter your genes) and quality education.
hence it is beyond my comprehension that some one decides to bring in ghalib/ graves and death/ tumhare yahan/ dafan etc .
i have absolutely no doubt that if youwere to enter a competion you would first display your sister and then your mother and then and only then your dadi.

I want to tell you guys the reason behind Aadesh Shrivastav’s blind support to Dadi Boy Harshit. Actually both Aadesh and Harshit belong to Kayasta community of U.P. Harshit Saxena & Aadesh Shrivastav r both Kayastas.
Kayasta community people r known to help each other a lot. Kayastas used to work for Mughals in mideaval era, then they were very loyal to the British too.
Now Jatin & Lalit are Aadesh’s Salas, so aadesh has pushed them also into supporting Harshit Saxena.
Hence this is the real reason for strong support for harshit saxena in VOI.

What I wrote about Aadesh Shrivastav and Harshit Saxena nexus is a stark truth. Ishmeet is blamed for getting regional votes, where as we see naked display of regionalism in Aadesh’s support to Harshit Saxena in the programme itself. Any body can point fingers at Ishmeet, but i am not being allowed to raise a valid point about Harshit saxena.

Ishmeet is the strongest contender and he deserves nothing less than victory in this contest.

In tonite’s programme you will see Aadesh shrivastav jumping into Harshit’s lap after the latter’s performance. The kayasthas love for each other would be on full display on TV. The same judges rebuke Ishmeet for getting regional votes, where as one of the judges Aadesh is shamelessly supporting his Kayastha brother Harshit. He is building up such an atmosphere that everybody is forced to say that Harshit is the best. This is the bonding and unity among the Kayasthas on full display in VOI. This is regionalism at its peak in VOI.

Guys I have been following this blog for sometime and have posted a few times. I have seen ppl praising their fav n criticising others.Many have even scolded Gaj for making a blunder of this show. Guys I’d jus like to say a few words. Gaj ji has made a blunder of the show agreed judges have induced communalism in here everything agreed. But one question to u all would be fighting for Toshi Irfan Ishmeet and the other singers if not for VOI. Forget the blunders tat have happend see the positive part of it.If not for VOI none of us here would have ever known who Toshi Sabri,Irfan Ali,Abhaas etc etc n all these contestants were am i right? So take it as a platform to bring in good talent VOI winning has no significance the struggle starts after tat.Talented singers will always make it irrespective of whether they win the show or not. Who knos we may see most of 12 particpants doin playback so lets stop all this fighting n jus enjoy these ppl sing

It is a very big mistake to eliminate him and irfan.
They should have been the finalists.
Now i think if Ishmeet will win then he will o out of screen as did Indian Idol 2 Sandeep Achariya. While other are singing in movies and releasing their albums he is sleeping somewhere.
This same thing will happen to ISHMEET if he wins.

For the first time I have respects for a judge of SVOI, Aadesh. After the elimination of Toshi he clearly mentioned that:
“someone is playing game and by God promise he/she is not doing good. The people of India is not blind that a contestant (Toshi) who got highest votes couple of times including previous episode now getting lowest votes. No one can’t sing like this boy (Toshi) and there is no doubt that you are the future of this industry. Definitely someone is playing game by God promise who’s not doing well”.

Mystery/Inscrutability:
After Toshi’s elimination and when he was saying his last words at SVOI I didn’t find out there Alka, Jatin & Lalit. The question is, where were they at that time. May be they were discussing with Mr. Gajj that the danger one gone now it’s time for Ishmeet. And the main question is basically at whom Aadesh was referring.
Good News For Toshi Fans:
Sajid/Wajid & Salim/Sulaiman confirmed that Toshi is going to sing for their next composition as he is the Voice Of World.

At last at today’s episode Shaan confirmed that there will be two finalist not three.
Prediction:
According to me, next time there target will be Ishmeet as he is now the biggest threat for Dadi cry baby Harshit & big mouth wonder child Abhaas to become SVOI.

Guys, This is what a person called Zaki from dubai has told. Zaki is a trained musician
” I have a logical and musical explanation for why he is better than any bollywood singer of anytime.
Now I am only restricting myself to singing ability, not the “abhinay ang” or ability to suit any actor. Like for instance.. Shaan’s voice suits Saif Khan to the T. Udit Narayan’s voice suited Aamir Khan to the T. Kishore Kumar’s voice suited Amitabh Bacchan more than his own voice!
I am not talking of that… I am talking pure singing ability.
Let us first take the understanding of taalkaari (beats in Anglo speak). In many of his songs Toshi has deliberatly missed a beat (or a complete cycle) and adjusted to come back and hit the “sum” (the first beat in the cycle.
Alka Yagnick, Adesh Srivastav acknowldge this when it happens, Parveen Sultana applauded it when he did it in the wild card round. So did Jagjit Singh when Toshi sang Teri Deewani.
However none of the judges took the trouble of explaining this to the audiences. Here I am disappointd with Abhijeet.
There are many singers who struggle to sing with the beat in sync. Toshi has such mastery over beats that he misses a beat deliberately! He literally plays with the TAAL. It takes years and years of HARDCORE TRAINING to do this.
I have not heard any Bollywood singer do this. Even Ustads and Pandits struggle with this. This is an ultimate tribute to understanding of Taal!
And Toshi is a past master at it.
Coming to taans and alaaps and harkatein.
Listen to Silli Silli aundhi yeh hawa. And the harkat Toshi has taken with Hawaaa… aaa… aaa. This takes tremendous control and again years and years of training. He has done this better than Hans Raj Hans the original singer. Dont take my word for it.. listen to both versions.. they are on this site!
Now listen to Allahu.. Toshi’s version on this site.. The alaap.. the first musical notes he utters (aaaaaa….aaaa)… ask for a Hindustani music teacher’s opinion on this.. can u get such a clean, clear, precise alaap. Yes, but not from any Bollywood singer!
Sargam.. again the only one in my humble opinion of the “filmi singers” who could do this was Manna Dey. Dont get me wrong please, I have almost all of Manna Deys recordings including his private mehfil cassettes, I am a huge fan of Manna Dey. But in Sargam’s he does not even come close to Toshi.
Pain and passion are relative and subjective, so I wont go there.
But none of the “regular bollywood” singers can push their voice to the limit as Toshi does!
For these reasons Toshi is beter than the run of the mill bollywood singers.
And Abhijeet said it different words…
Toshi I cant judge you.. I am not equipped to judge you.. you are made for a far far bigger platform than SVOI.
Abhijeet, Jagjit Singh, Khayyam, Parveen Sultana, Kalyanji Bhai, Ravindra Jain.. cant be all wrong can they?

toshi rocked today.was in tears when i heard him sing. he was marvellous.he looked so dispassionate bcoz he knew that he would not b in the finals??
it would b wonderful if one one the 12 contestants expose what happened during the voi show, its obviously a manipulated show, the question is was it just gajendra singhs decison, or was everyone forced to go along with it??or did any of the participants have a role to play too??or the judges??but i guess the truth will never b out,bcoz the music community is a very small one, whether its classical or filmi.and u cant afford to do that if u need to survive, grudges are held against u for ever.
this blogs bcome a vote for ismeet campaign ground. nobody posts anything else here.hope some good discussion happens.

Toshi is the best..
It is so bad to see him go.. I bet nobody in the VOI contestants can sing like him. He is truly amazing. I would definitely see him rise like Sukwinder or Kailash Kher.
If you guys missed that Kawali round.. that was the best episode.., n it that just watch how Toshi sang. These foolish people who dunno anything about music just threw away the best talent that came up through VOI.

I thought Toshi was way too overconfident and thought he’d win. In a way I am kinda glad he got eliminated. But Ishmeet..oh my god. How can anyone even consider him a good singer. He sings the simplest songs of all. Try an A.R Rehman song buddy. He is terrible. He might as well come on stage and not sing AT ALL even then he’d get the most votes.
I was rooting for Irfan..he was phenomenal. I’ve lost interest in VOI since his elimination but if anything, I’d like to see Abhaas win. Harshit..is a bit loud and he has a lisp. He has a very 80s sound. Doesn’t go with the 21st century sound.

Again Toshi is eliminated by the VOI team for bringing their favorites(Monkeys) to the finals.
In yesterday’s show Sajid rightly pointed out and said “Toshi is always singing great and he was getting record breaking highest votes in last two shows and all of a sudden he gets least votes and gets eliminate, how is it possible.”
and Adesh was saying that” ye jo bhi kar raha hai,saraswati ma ki kasam acha nahin kar raha hai. Hindustan ki janta is not blind”. He repeated it again.What did he mean by “ye jo bhi kar raha hai”? That somebody is doing some manipulation? He was not saying that janta was responsible for this. He said janta is not blind. Did he mean that somebody is trying to fool janta?…

I am sure they have already decided dadicry babe to crowm worst voice of india, and presume they have presented this proposal to legendary Lajati, but I am doubt she must have refused to do so with the presence of Toshi, because she can`t do injustice to the music. so this a well planned conspiracy, I am sure they will crown either crybabe or overconfident lad. and innocent boy Ishmeet will be sacrificed. ive been reading the blog since quite a lot tym…
i would lyk to say that… in SVOI.. a decision has already been made on whos the VOI… so no point voting.. i have been dissapointed 4 tyms.. wen toshi got eliminated the first tym , den wen sumitra got eliminated , den irfan and den toshi..
its not a show of music.. it all politics n sympathy.. But yes as pointed by some1 Toshi , Irfan and other good singers have been noticed… n yes one think for if Toshi became the Voice of India it would have been an honour for the show and not for him…. God bless him.. and i also pray for Irfan and sumitra…. All this is non-sense… not reality only politics.. its just playin with the emotions of the entire nation.. and as some1 had written he-she wud vote for harshid as he is 4m middle class den wht abt Toshi , irfan , ishmeet ?????? he is just playing a dadi game n mark my words it will not be surprising if this pathetic singer becomes voi… VOICE OF INDIA>> huh…

Hi Antar I am not against any contestant I am only with the best who so ever he may be from these three Ishmeet, Harshit and Abhas,but I must say here that Toshi ne apne peron par khud kulhari maari hea, pata hea kese jab woh first time eliminate hua tha tab tum ko yaad hoga usne magarmachh ke aasoon bahate hue aur itni nautanki Lalit aur Adesh ke sath mil kar karte hue kaha tha ki woh uss gandagi mein dobara nahin jana chahta hea, yani woh Rajasthan ki gandagi mein nahin jana chahta, to rajasthan ki public ne iss baat ko dil par le liya aur socha ki isko sabak sikhana chahiye aur unohon ne vote na de kar usko eliminate karwa diya, YANI DHOBI KA KUTTA NA GHAR KA NA GHAAT KA jesi sthit peda kar di,kyon kya mein galat keh raha hoon.Doosra Abhas ko Lalit ne VEETO power se beech mein laakar IRFAN,ABHILASHA,HARSHIT aur ISHMEET ke saath bahut barhi nainsafi ki, nahin to aaj Abhas ki jageh Irfan hota. Thank god TOSHI is eleminated from voi as it is the worst show in the earth.I didin’t want toshi to nbe winner of this worst show.But i know that after 2years TOSHI will be a sucessful singer in INDIA.all the actors dierectors and the producers will want TOSHI to sing in teir film.TOSHI would have sung more than 2 albums and in more than 10 films all producing hit songs. This fridays episode was the last episode for me atleast for this season.

Last episode was last episode I watched of VOI…Toshi getting eliminated is simply disgusting….He was such a genious singer…I watched show only for him…
More over its like ridiculing Lata Mangeshkar by letting her judge the final talents, who are selected just on basis of Looks, Caste, religion and sympathy
Its high time now for all these reality show to be banned from TV, its nothing but waste of our time and money as the real talent never wins the title

everybody posts messages of unfair practices . why is it that when a muslim name accompanies one such protest it is assumed that it is a pakistani voice/fundamentalist/radical and presumptions of her/his profession -the oldest one naturally etc are made.
is it a defect in our education system or warped mental (accompanied by physcal leading to insecurities) growth that is responsible for this?
is it any surprise thta it turns even moderates into radicals after reading replies to innocent posts.
aloks responses are a case in point.

Hey for those who think Mussarat is better than Toshi, Please have ur ears tested. Mussarat’s rendition of TereBin in Saregamapa’s grand Finale was simply terrible and it would be a sin to compare this with Toshi’s fantabulous rendition.
None of Saregamapa’s contestants come close to Toshi in terms of variation, his sur, his low notes and high notes and his soulful rendition. Saregamapa supporters don,t be biassed. Had Toshi been in Saregamapa he would have aced it.

What it this incurable obsession u have with Harshit? Toshi sang Phirta rahoon the dard was in his voice, When Harshit sang the same song the dard was on his face? Harshit’s rendition of Dard e Disco was big time crap. My god! He thinks the world of himself and his rendition. He is there thanks to Jatin, Lalit and Alka. Thanks u guys for playing dirty politics and killing the show. After the show, Harshit will be the VOI I’m sure, please gift him a bag of pebbles to cure him of that hopeless lisp.

Hey osp your prediction of Harshit becoming VOI completely failed as per the latest Harshit has been eliminated this week,I hope you must been relieved, anyhow now the fight is in between an adult and a child(Abhas, who should have not been aloowed to perform in a show of adults) as per the Indian law a person of 18 years is an adult, whereas Abhas is only 17 years, I have been shouting since the begining of the show that how Abhas has been selected inthis show as he is 17 years, when he was eliminated then I had a sigh of relief, but again when he was brought in by means of VEETO power in the hopeless Wild Card Entry by so called Neutral Judge Jatin ji I again objected to it, but who listens. Yes one thing I came to know that Jatin ji do not know the difference between an Adult and a child, Abhas should have been given chance in the Amul Star Voice of India for Kids (to start after VOI), I hope ops you will agree with me, anyhow in my opinion ISHMEET is the VOI now. Keep it up ISHMEET and BEST OF LUCK FOR BECOMING AMUL STAR VOICE OF INDIA, C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S to ISHMEET AND HIS PARENTS.

I just want to laugh on osp’s childish comments
. Toshi is my favorite, however, i have swalloed the fact that he is not close to Mussart – on top mussart is down to earth person – he doesn’t have an attitude of climbing the success stair over his competetors. Get your facts together. there is no comparison, all i can say is Toshi is very good but Mussart is OUT OF THIS WORLD.

It is just SAD that Harshit has to compete with Ishmeet to win this conpetition. It is like an adult playing chess with a 5 year old and letting the child win for reasons of the heart. It is obvious that Harshit is not going to win. With the sweet face and innocent look, Ishmeet has won a place in people’s hearts where “Voice Quality” does not seem to matter. These people who vote for Ishmeet do not realize that they are bringing down the quality of the music they are served in the future by making a poor voice win over a great voice, for reasons other than music. . Sad…very sad!!!
P.S: For the die hard fans of Ishmeet who are getting ready to bring out all their weapons against me for posting this comment, I really like Ishmeet, he sings reeeeallly well for someone without formal training, a really nice guy, but if I am going to pay money for a cd, I would like it to have an excellent singer as opposed to a sweet guy.
