Hey this is singing at its worst. Harshit used to sing much better than wat he does in the show. The producers did a good job by editing all the comments from Sri Hridaynath Mangeshkar in the second half. I am sure he couldn’t have believed his ears thinking its final. You cant expect so many comments in final of a nation-wide music show… shows how poor are the contestants. Jatin says for harshit that he shouldnt sing if he cannot sing a song in one take. Then awardas him a full 10 on 10 (never given by him before). He is a bog cartoon I must say and the most Hypocrit person in the show. I liked Raju Shrivastav’s joke the other day that Jatinjee doest have a kitchen at home for he doesnt need any. He eats all “kasam” presently availablein the world.
I think Pt. Hridaynath and Hema Malini were honest with their comments unlike the other guest to keep coming and going with praises for every singer.
There’s no doubt that VOI has lost its flavour and I must say, SRGMP was much much superior to VOI … specially in the final episodes.
To end… just a line….. VOI SUCKS NOW!!

there is no match now between ishmeet and anybody..ishmeet is great in his own style..what a compliment, praise and encouragement he got from Abida Parveen-the best sufiyana style singer of the world..no body knows sur taal better than abida parveen..long live abida parveen..whoever says ishmeet doesnt know singing, come on here, i am ready to take you guys..come on ppl, vote for the real talent who is real in his own style..he is pure raw talent who never went to any singing school and institute..just pure natural singing..if u encourage him, in future he will pay back all ur support…just support for natural talent which is real voice of indian sub continent..

I don’t know why people here in this blog favour to ISMIT, Judges favour harshit and aabhash bcoz they have natural talent and can sing much much batter than ISHMIT. ISMIT no doubt is a good singer, but he compare to those two guys are not even 50%. Everybody know this fact by heart, but some wanted to favour ISHMIT bcoz he is from his region(Panjab) or they think he very inocent or so. Man, inosence doesn’t bring talent, you only look for talent and only talent, ISMIT is talent for some guys bcoz he is from Panjab and he looks inosent. If ISHMIT is so innocent then he must know that he is not so talented compared to other guys and he is snatching other people’s position, and he is so honest then he should quit this platform. But no, he is not so innocent…. and not even try to sing better …bcoz he knows…..

People who want ISHMIT as a VOI, then let him be, and after that when he sings in a albam, please go first and listen to that songs he sings, might be you will know at that time, how good he is? Aabash, I think has the most talent to sing any kind of song with ease. ISHMIT can never be like him, bcoz he is not.

I think u know nothing abt singing and u r talking abt natural talent here..First go and get some basic education on music otherwise talk to me..i can teach u something..how much u know abt music.,,do u know more than abida parveen..have u heard abt abida parveen..if ppl of punjab are voting for ishmeet, then what is wrong in that..even if ishmeet is good or bad , u will never vote for him..because u cannot tolerate a sikh guy coming forward..its not in ur blood..i can write more facts here but that will communalize this blog..now coming to that ishmeet should quit…why? he is there to earn money and become famous like anybody else..why should he quit??tera kya le gaya vo..did he take any of urs precious little stuff??i dont understand how come he is taking other’s positions..thats biggest joke i hv heard till now..
now as far as who will get work after this show is over..tell me how many winners from such talent hunt shows have got real work in bollywodd..how many are remembered once these shows are over??how many are singing in hindi films with good offers..answer is zero..may be some may have got 1 or 2 songs here or there but not much..we dont have to wait that long to judge on ishmeet’s singing abilities..his albums are going to be real fantastic because those wud be albums..they put lot of artificial stuff in that…u just see real time singing in one take now…thats is sufficient and ppl like u who know nothing abt music are making comments here..abhaas is gone and thats past..abhass is very good singer in his own way..but u ppl have choosen harshit than abhaas so its ur fault..i feel sorry abt abhaas after seeing tears in his mother’s eyes..but abhaas has supporters everywhere, so he will get work with the blessings of these bollywood guys..ishmmet is different and abhaas is different..
and lastly dont be jealous of punjab or ppl of punjab..u r alive today only because of punjab..punjab has saved u plenty of times from mughals, britishers and pakistanis…ur borders are secured only because of Punjab..50% of Indian army is just Punjab.. u r basically nothing without Punjab..

Ishmeet is a singer who can only sing low-level songs. You can barely hear his voice over the background music. If you feel his songs are good, then what you like is probably the background music.
Listen to all of his songs and you will agree with me. Except for a few songs (which he did sing very well), most of his other songs are just low-key.
Starplus has found an SMS-ki-Khadaan in Ishmeet’s supporters. That’s the reason he has been manipulated into the finals — for it’s only Punjab that can SMS massively for this guy and make him the VOI.
But making Ishmeet the Voice of India by “massive” voting is not the same as the pride to see him winning it by merit. When its over, people will realise, with guilt, that he didn’t really deserve it.
Never allow mediocrity to win. You are sending out a wrong message…

whats difference between merit and somebody winning becaus eof huge SMS’s..what merit r u taling abt..this show is SMS and voting based show..whoever gets more SMS’s and votes is meritorious here..they are not rigging anything for ishmeet..he is getting more votes from whoever and wherever..there is no problem in that..if he is getting highest nr of SMS’s and votes, they why should they do manipulation and that also for ishmee??!!ishmeet’s uncle or father is not running this show I think..nor any of judges are supporting him..do u think Abida Parveen is idiot??do u know who Abida Parveen is..

To me Yesterday’s show was the worst of all VOI episodes because both the singers were at their worst singing, the guests looked very very disappointed by looking at the finalists Panwala Harshit and crybaby Ishmeet, but just to encourage them they gave little good comments but believe me these two finalists are bath room singers. Harshit should sing only panwala type songs which suites him, and ismeeet is the worst singer with only good voice. Panwala singing that song “Dil ne tumko chun liya hai” he really spoiled the song and if u remember that same song sung by Irfan was much much better and soulfull. Lataji will really feel disappointed by looking at these jokers.
In the judges Abhijeet looked very disappointed because as he has already told that with these remaining singers it is not looking like a competition, and he is there as a formality.

hridaynath mangeshkarji, with due respect to u..i want to disagree…wen u mentioned asha bhonsle is/was bcoz of rd burman.when asha ji was in the wilderness[i wont go into y of that], it was o p nayyar saab who practically resurrected her singing career.rd burman saab played a major role , yes, but it was o p nayyar saab who gave her singing career a life.
abt lataji coming to the finals, all i want to say is, she can still refuse, or could ahve , once she saw how the show was progressing.
lataji is a singing legend, but shes also human…that plays a very major part in moulding u r actions.

The biggest compliment for Ishmeet came from Maestro Abida Parveen. She went on to say “Tumne mujhe khareed liya” and asked ishmeet to sing the song once more.Now such a big maestro can’t praise anyone just like that.
Ishmeet haters just wake up and see what the maestros have to say about him.
Yesterday lalit & Aadesh hit all time low when they refused to comment on Ishmeet’s performance. They hv been so much consumed by hate that they dont even hv energy left to speak.
Jatin Pandit conducted himself quite well yesterday and for the first time really behaved like a neural judge.

VOI guests cannot say to singers that your performance is worst, as I have mentioned in my earlier post that they didn’t like their singing but gave little good comments, none of the guests enjoyed the songs yesterday while the singers were singing, they only gave their LITTLE GOOD COMMENTS after the songs finished. Just Imagine if Toshi and other eliminated good singers had performed in front of them, they would have enjoyed felt happy to see some good singers in the finals and you can read this on their face.

This proves that when u get angry means u also know Ishmeet is having only good voice and not a good singer and u agreed this in ur previous post. And I had mentioned in my post that “Saach Kadwa hota hai” and u cannot digest truth.
And regarding Toshi….Toshi haters grow up… After they eliminated Toshi by votes manipulation, but still today and for comming days everyone remembers Toshi as a true singer.

Sir, i think its time you dismiss these judges aadesh & lalit. Infact no judge is required as people have to decide the final outcome.
But Aadesh & Lalit have become diffcult to tolerate as they hv become totally biased and have no shame in showing so.
The whole show which is an excellent show has become pathetic only because of Aadesh & Lalit.

I’m sorry and I whole heartidly recognise Toshi talent and appologise again for using wrong words against him and his fans.
Actually and as a matter of fact, I hate Ishmeet’s singing qualities but he belongs to my sardar community and I have to support him under communal pressure. He does not have anything special but a sweet voice. Now having only sweet voice does not means that he deserves to be in BEMISAAL 12. But now when he is in top 2, I love him so much. Well on the whole there is nothing left in the show where we can talk about music and nothing to write about unless you are crazy die hard fan of one of finalists. It was 3rd continuous bomb from Gajji by eliminating Abhas. If we recall previous episode when Toshi was eliminated, they interviewed 7 different categories of people and majority of them voted for Abhas AND AGAIN public demand has been kicked hard. By the way Justice prevails and forced Wild Card Entry did not make it to finals ?. I think Gajji is showing very composed approach towards Starplus’ interest but not of Public & Judges. He is very desperate to please his new bosses in Starplus, but mind you Gajji, public is the one who brought you up while you was working for ZEE because you gave respect to Public interest. Now when you are acting against public demand, money will only serve Starplus benefits but not your own.
They way 2 finalist have performed on Saturday was not worth it. On top of that, judges behavior shows that this show has not reflected their personal wishes, expect for Lalit Pandit. For example Abhijeet Lost Toshi, Alka lost Abhilasha, Jatin lost Abhas and Adesh lost Sumitra. Now Lalit Pandit has all reasons to cheer up and demoralize Harshit’s competition, who basically do not need any type of motivation or demoralization, because “SMS hay naa !!!”
I remember there was on advertisement by Surf Excel where they say at the end “Surf Excel Hay Naa”, so ishmeet must say at the end of the show “Punjab Hay Naa” or “SMS hay naa” and on the other hand Harshit says “Dadi Hay naa”
The best part of yesterdays show was fight between Adesh and Jatin Lalit. I was laughing my ass over the floor. Earlier Jatin Lalit was crying over Abhas elimination and then all of a sudden he was found roaring for nothing. I feel really sad for Jatin Lalit because he would not be able to bag big contracts from Sanjay Leela Bansali’s as his favorite is out of competition. I wrote few days back that this is basically voice of judges now and Lalit Pandit has shown he is more influential than his elder big mouth brother.
When I’ll watch next episode, I’ll keep in mind that I’m watching GREAT INDIAN MUSIC LAUGHTER CHALLENGE.

To all those who wanna know why Abida Parveenji wanted Ishmeet to repeat, here goes, through her tresses of luxuriant hair she lost time in putting the headphones to her ear and by the time Ishmeet was done.

The show and the judges confused me big time. But like Jatin puts it Lalit and Adesh were too harsh on Ishmeet. My personal opinion is that though the show wins hands down for the biggest yawn in the history of India, Ishmeet sang definitely better than Harshit. There was melody.

How come starvoi.com blog has not been mentioned.Isnt your blog popular enough.
Beleive me for past 1 month I have not been chatting anywhere else, I have been concentrating on this blog only. Though you havent appreciated my efforts much.
But I think by writing to this blog I have been able to create a positive environment for my favourite contestant as he is in the final 2 now.
In fact many people r bored, but I have really begun to enjoy the show now.
I hope the last 4 episodes of VOI are quite interesting and paisa vasool. I hope i will be able to recover the money i have spent in sending SMS by watching this show and seeing my favourite contestant win.

i have never liked ishmeet’s singing but when i campared him with harshit..i feel that he is much more better than harshit..he sang the song sun lo na beautifully as was mentioned by Abida parveen…harshit completely spoiled the song Mitwa of Shafqat Amanat ali and i hated adesh for his comment about such a great singer like shafqat!!

It is a black day for Sangeet itself: reason- Abhas, the sole exponent of classical music and in command of all other forms of music is eliminated today purely on account of regional considerations and not on true merit. I suggest that the top three contestants show their real musical skills before Lata Mangeshkar, the melody queen of all time.
There should be no public voting as it is a mere farce. Only merit should be the consideration in the selection of Voice Of India from the top three.

I have been intently watching VOI from San Diego, USA for long now. However, with great disappointment, I have to say that the show has degenerated into a political theatre and not a pursuit of real talent.
While I hold that Ismeet should have been eliminated before Prantik, the greatest disservice is from the inept public voting and absolutely useless Jury panel. Jatin speaks invoking “Saraswait ki Kasam”, but his voting displays an intellectual and artistic laziness. Abhijeet is always bent upon “being different” and partisan gimmickry. Notable exception is Lalit who dares to speak him mind. Please remember that this is a show to find versatile, real talent deviod of any emotive issues like “bhola-bhala sardar” or “meri andhi dadi”. There needs to be a place for such compassion, but this is not the venue nor the forum.
Finally, the music directors of today also need to take much of the blame for “dumbing down the of the music” in India. It is a travesty of justice already that we do not see Irfan or Abhaas make it to the final 2.

For the first time I saw Jatin Pandit actually behave like a neutral judge and I think he got very emotional because Abhas left but he still carried the show well unlike Aadesh who showed his fake emotions when he had to comment on Ishmeet.Adesh said he was out of senses but when Harshit sang ,he was compltely back in his senses and supported him in the incorrect way.
One thing I can surely conclude Adesh and Lalit are hypocrits.I am shocked to see their biased behaviour.

I have seen many blogs here which say Ishmeet has a good voice…I think thats what they are looking for…SVOI.Many other things can come with experience but great voice can’t be gained.Ishmeet has natural talent and he deserves to go ahead.
Certainly Toshi or Abhas could have been tougher competitors for Ishmeet but Harshit stands nowhere.
I had not heard about his dad’s debt until yesterday …shocking…he just brings up a story every few episodes.PLEASE STOP GAINING SYMPATHY,Harshit.You should be shamed of yourself.

Abhaas is well supported by Snajal Leela from childhood so he got nothing to loose even if he is out..they may pick him up in SVOI Chottu Ustaad show
..but ZEE Sare gama pa lil champs is best..there is one more ishmeet there..Rohan Preet singh from Patiala who sings like md. rafi and is son of a power lifter from punjab..he sounds better singer with exceptional voice and both judges there are impressed with his singing..
but still I couldnt understand why was abhaas rejected by 4 great musicians during wild card entry round..yesterday also when he was giving final performance, he lost his sur couple of times..but he still is a amzing talent and has very bright future specially with blessings of jatin pundit and sanjay bhansali.

Rohanpreet has a sweet voice and he will do very good in future for sure.
But, Ishmeet could not sing very well in last episode. Instead, I liked Harshit’s voice. He sang well both the songs (considering he did not have classical base).
One more time, the judges of VOI proved that they are the worst. Gajendra Singh really needs to make them see SRGMP L’IL champs so that they can be educated about how to behave and guide the singers.

I really enjoyed Abida Parveen on the Show As well as Hema Malini and the other.
Both the Finalist were at their wits end they lost their origionality but Judegs were Supporting them I think at this stage they must be encourged never demoralize like on Ishmeet’s Singing Adesh and Lalit behaved like Nonesence.
Harshit’s sang “Mitwa” and Alka Said ” Mujhy Abhaas ki yaad aa gayi” That shouldn’t happen on this stage.
But i Must say tht when Ismeet sang “Dil ne tum ko chun liya hai” Mujy Irfan ki yaad aa gayi he sang it beautifully as this song was made for him.
Now the Drama of the show i think that Ishmeet will win. Harshit is a tremendous singer. Let’s see who wins.

Abida Parveen’ praise of Ishmeet”tumne mujhe khareed liya” is a tight slap on faces of all those who say Ishmeet is a mediocre singer or he does not know how to sing. He is bestest of the best.
In the first round between ishmeet and harshit , Ishmeet scored over his competitor though the judges awarded them 18 points each.
Ishmeet’s qualities will come out quite well as the focus will now be on him. Till now VOI team has tried to ignore him, but they cannot do so now.
Still in the VOI promos on Star Plus they r showing only Harshit as if he is the lone contestant.
But Ishmeet supporters r firmly with him and will certainly see him through victorious.

Since I did not see the friday’s episode in great details (sounds of crackers outside), I am not in a position of writing anything about that. In a lighter vein- I think noise pollution outside was more soothing than that inside.
I however, watched the saturday’s performance.
I have always refrained from criticising any singer and this time too, I shall try to be objective in my remarks rather that abusing participants and infuriating their fans.
I liked the valedictory performance of Abhaas very much. Then came Harshit and Ishmeet. Though their voices were as usual sweet and soothing, I personally feel, these two talented singers could have done a lot better. People might say what authority do I have on music as compared to Abida Parveen et al?
Well I have none, and that is why I am penning my views down and not Abida ji’s views.
I never sang but still I can feel which song touches me, just like, I never laid eggs but still know more about the omelette than the hen who laid that egg.
Therefore I feel, these two singers could have done a lot better and they are pretty capable of singing better. It might be one of those bad day for them.
I agree with someone (I forgot who wrote this ?) that atleast for Diwali, Gajji should have invited all the 12 participants so that the fans could have got one more chance to listen to their favourite singers in a festive mood.
I have tried to be objective in my comments and still if anybody wants to write something abusive please do so on “rishi1964@yahoo.com” but please maintain the aesthetics of this blog.

Sachaee to yahi hai ke GAJJ and VOI management are doing votes manipulation and if you people votes for Ishmeet or Harshit it will be good only for Gajj, because he is just fooling people and making money, Do online votes but don’t send SMS from Mobiles, VOI team has already decided who will get VOI crown, I think after they get comments from Lataji they will mix the manipulated votes and declare Harshit VOI. Don’t waste money on sms, or u can give those sms money to poor people and they will give their blessings(Dua karenge).

Harshit will win the competition as his voice is a cinematic voice missing now a days and looking for many many music directors…
On the other hand, if we talk about girls, Arshpreet got the best and unique voice, i have ever heard…
Choice of song can be wrong. But if you see Harshit previous performace especially in the show where Saleem Salman and Sajid Wajid were judges, that was superb performance and nothing stay in front of that. Ishmeet is a kid in front of Harshit…

If the judges have any musical sense at all they should at least at this stage realise their folly, declare a critics award , bring back irfan, toshi and abhaas and get competent judges- not theatrical hyper pseudomusical types and select the best of the lot. the judges should be of all castes and creed so that they form no bias and selection is made based on talent only.
but all this is wishful thinking. in the end it is parochial and narrow mmindedness which will win.
i have stopped watching this farce.
and please dont categorise me as apakistani. dont bring in religion/caste/creed .i am very much a true blue indian. just higghly shocked at eh choice of the masses.

After hearing Harshit’s Mitwa I was compelled to listen to the original to do away with the lisp effect messed up singing.
To be honest between the two Ishmeet is notches better.
I just can’t understand how Harshit who has been in Chakravat every other week suddenly tops. All this doctored by Lalit,Jatin and Aadesh.
To sum up, the show has nothing to offer.

According to the last episode (Saturday Episode) Ishmeet was far far better than Harshit at every performance. When Harshit sang Mitwa I was so much shocked how a contestant like him can reach to such a musical shows final. But the answer is crystal clear because it happeneds by the mercies of our most stupid 5 judges & 1 director. Despite Ishmeet has to learn lots of things about music (Like Toshi, Irfan & Sumitra) his performances at last episode really surprised me. For the first time I really enjoyed his performances. So as because there is no Toshi or Irfan in the final my support will go for Ishmeet of course. As according to me, he is better than this Dadi cry copy cat baby Harshit.

I have never posted on this blog but occasionally see this site to catch the results whenever I miss a show (being based in the US). I am apalled and shocked at how low the posts have stooped… Is there a moderator on this site or not? Instead of spreading music, all this blog is achieving now is spread hatred & anger among different communities, countries etc.
1) Quality of VOI contestents has stooped LOW (forget communities or regions,Abhaas,Toshi,Irfan & Abhilasha were a lot better than the finalists on Pure talent)
2) Judges have stooped LOWER (Lalith & Aadesh deserve to be kicked forever from judging competitions & identifying talent…They have forced me to support Ishmeet, if only to defeat their biased outlook filled with hatred)
3) The comments on this blog have stooped the LOWEST.

India-Pakistan cricket matches are always filled with tension, sometimes hatred towards each other and what not.
During the last ODI, Yuvraj Singh ran across to congratulate Salman Butt on his fine performance. Now, if competitors themselves can show such mutual respect for each other in spite of intense competition, can’t we supporters (be it supporters of Ishmeet, Harshit or anybody else), can’t we at least extend basic courtesy & respect to each other?

I think Abida Parveen really commented well in the last episode.All her comments(for Ishmeet and Harshit) had class!
It seemed Hema Malini had come for her own auditions when she sang the complete song…lol.I thought she would stop after a few lines but she completed two paragraphs in her not so sweet voice.
Ishmeet’s melody was amazing.I must say he has a very sweet voice.His second song was soothing and Shaan’s comment were really nice.Infact Abida asked him to sing ‘once more..’!!!I think thats a great achievement.
But the fact was for the first time I heard Harshit carefully and his pronounciations were horrible.As far as I could understand,the song ‘mitwa..’ starts with ..’love wil find a way…’ and he made it sound like…’laaav wil find a way..’.Infact Shaan repeated those lines when he came on stage.
Harshit made a nice love song sound like a tragic song.I think he sounded better in his second song and sad songs suit him more.He has a good voice but lacks the happy spirit.Its true that Abhas sang ‘mitwa…’ really well…much better than Harshit.
Jatin Pandit was quite fair yesterday and he defended Ishmeet a few times against the attack of Lalit,Aadesh and the silence of Abhijeet and Alka.
I think Abhijeet was fair in giving both the contestants equal marks though Ishmeet deserved more!

For good or bad, the following are very evident:
- Ishmeet, inspite of insulting comments, has improved tremendously over the course of this event. Probably, some credit is due to his mentors, Alka & Abhijeet. If he wins due to his SMSing followers, so be it since the whole competition is based on SMSes. And, the rules are the same for ALL contestants…
- Harshit’s singing is going from bad to worse. Probably all the adulation and misapaced comments from his mentors has gone to his head. Credit is definitely due to Aadesh & Lalit for ruining a good singer’s capabilities & making him what he is today. Very aptly, he is turning to other gimmicks – dadi’s sapna helped him to a great extent initially and now, probably ‘mere pitha ka karz chukaana hain’ will get him a few more votes…
Anyways, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa had better, quality singers in the finals (although the final winner was a huge let-down)..

The boy Ishmeeet is the weakest singer among the last 10. The comments he gets are better than he deserves. To make this an communal issue of these comments by his lover boy Jatin is a travesty. When it is a crime to tell some one who is not good that his singing is not at par. Ismeet will most probably win like Prashant Tamang of Indian Idol did but he is basically a party singer. Sweet singer but still a party singer.

Harshit is as bad as Ishmeet. He does lisp. Rarely, in these shows good singer becomes the champion because of the format of the show. The show organizers are there to make money so the voting is set in such a way that they make money. Even Ishmeet last time said it was his father’s dream. All contestents try to gain sympthy vote. Ishmeet is benifiting from his whipping boy image. Right Jatin?

Ishmeet has a sweet voice.His voice is original and melodious.
I like Harshit’d voice(though he copies singers) but when he sings it seems he is crying.He turns a happy song/ melody/ ghazal/ qawali/ disco song…etc etc into a tragic slow song which doesnt touch even the soul,infact irritates you.And his pronounciations….gosh.He surely cant do playback for anyone.
Hence,its proved that Ishmeet should be SVOI!!!!
I think we should all vote for our favourites and the deserving one will win.

He is a Khalsa and by Param Pita Guru Govind Singh’s blessings can handle 1.25 lakhs. I am a Sikh and his act did not go well with me. But this is not the point. The competition is about singing and both these finalist are not up to the par.

Guru Sikh does not cry in face of adversity. Besides, that all singers were insulted. Harshit when he forgot his lines was physically threatened by Adesh.
If I was a betting man then I would have bet on Ishmeet. Not that he is a better singer but has votes. Like Prashant he has really mobilized his voters. Imagine being last in rest of India and then topping once the vote from Punjab were counted.

My take on today’s show .
ISHMEET was better than Harshit hands down today.
ISHMEET voice is sweet and he suits romantic voice, but he cannot sing high pitch and classical songs, and neither can Harshit . So we do not have the best and classical trained singers in FInal. That’s a big loss.
My top 3 would have been Toshi, Abhaas and Irfan.
Anyways Jatin Pandit giving 10 points was a Joke, seriously wasn’t it. And Aadesh and Lalit looking at each other and not commenting on Ishmeets performance was horrible.
Harshit killed Mitwas big time. That is why I also rate SRGMP finalists way higher than SVOI finalists (TOP 3) .
Also usually when a Female celebrity guest is on a Judge, the guys usually go and bring her on stage and Dance.

These guys are so against mature ladies , they did not bring Hema or Abida on stage to dance with them

This is a defeat for the talent hunt show. Finalists are not the ones that were the best. Very typical of us to accept mediocrity … just look at what we accept for our governments!
Ishmeet shouldn’t have been even in final 12 .. and now he’s going to be VOI. What a joke. I followed this show very closely, even left work early to catch it being aired, and last show after abhas got eliminated was the first one I didn’t want to, and didn’t watch. I am very disappointed in the show as well as ourselves as the voting public but hey, that’s nothing new, and what do I matter anyways

Whatever Harshit was told,was out of care and concern by Aadesh and have you seen the amount of support Lalit and Aadesh give?No other contestant except Ishmeet was insulted and unfortunately it was all started on communal grounds.This was done by Aadesh and Abhijeet.

The communal divide is infact created by the judges…(“apne bhaiyon se bolo…”) and the way they actually tell the results of different states rather than India as a whole.
I think Punjab and the the rest of India to a certain extent is just giving them the right answer now.
And leaving all of this aside,Ishmeet also is a better singer than Harshit.So true talent deserves to win.

Ahh, what a great Diwali weeknd, one mad round of partying and networking, Mumbai is just amazing at this time of the year, what energy guys! I have just waded through all the stuff written down…nothing much has changed has it? Jatin and NZ gal still going strong, eh?

Kalyani, thank you for the analysis, helped me to come up to speed!!
The one thing that is amazing on this blog is the passion Ishmeet’s supporters have for him, but I am also stunned by the utter naivety of the opinions on the blog. this show was never about singing talent. The show is all about wealth generation. The minute Star and GS got together, and hijacked Shaan , et al, the show was doomed.
Let me give you an apt illustration that drives home my point.I know this is almost gossip and I shoul’nt be doing this, but it’s a good example of things and how they really are.
On the last Saturday, an “about to be launched” TV channel threw a diwali bash, for which I was invited (i cannot name the channel for obvious reasons, but you can surely guess, the ads for the channel are all over movie theatres and TV) and GS was there , (getting sloshed, I guess!!)and as people (almost all from the T.V industry) were going up to him and congratulating him (mind you congratulating !!!!) him on the success of VOI, he was actually preening and then somebody asked him about some of the comments that had come come up in the press adversely against VOI, he looked at the guy who asked this, as if this chap was from outer space and said , I quote” abe ch**ye, agar channel ne , sponsor ne aur humne paise banaye, toh kya farak padta, press kya chapega”end of quote
Inspite of all this, you folks , like juvenile kids keep calling names, quoting religion completely out of context and wear your emotions on your sleeves..,……
How smart is that?
Unfortunately I cannot even say, focus on the music, enjoy the show , etc etc, cos there aint any show or music to enjoy!! both singers are way below par and as NZ gal says, it’s not about what the show should have been , but more about who amongst the two worthies is worser (or better!) then what we are then rooting for is not for excellence but for the better alternatives between (to paraphrase Abhijeetda, the great man of words!!!!), mediocre and mediocrer!!

Hi,
I watched with great enthusiasm SVOI on Saturday.
It was sad to see Abhaas go. It was sadder to hear comments from Aadesh that with Abhaas gone “mann nahi hai” – then my suggestion to him is pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaase walk out of the show right away.
I liked both the songs sung by Ishmeet. In fact, his song ‘Suno naa’ was pretty good.
However, the reactions of Lalit and Aadesh for Ishmeet were pretty insulting as usual. I am happy cause they are only encouraging people to vote more for Ishmeet.
According to me, its not whether Ishmeet is a Sikh, or Harshit is a UPite. The fact is their portrayal to the public.
Right from the start, Aadesh and Lalit have been on their ‘I hate Ishmeet’ bandwagon, which has not gone down well with the audience. Even though Harshit sings well, Ishmeet is a clear favourite.
I am surprised at Jatin Pandit’s U-Turn. He actually criticized Harshit and had good words for Ishmeet. It seems Maa Saraswati must have really given him a good spanking LOL!!!
Personally, my favourite is Ishmeet and hope he wins.

I am feeling like abusing you really badly, but somehow I am controlling myself.
You talk about big things like Gursikh, khalsa etc. but hv forgotten the basic tenents of the Sikh Gurus i.e to be human and humanity.
Stupid man, you cant feel the pain of a person who is being insulted thoroughly again & again for no fault of his, a person who is being called a mediocre singer inspite of his being so talented.
Rahul you r not worthy of being called a sikh. Forget being a sikh, you r not even a human being.
Mind u NZgal & I are not supporting Ishmeet because of his religion, but because he is a good singer & nice human being.
Rahul my suggestion to you is please try to become a good human being first and then try to become a good sikh.

Till then , would request you to clarify something that struck me (by the way,I am not for or against any singer or for or against what s going on between you and Rahul), ok having got that disclaimer off my chest, the comment I would like some clarity on apropos your last post is – are you saying that if I do not exhibit loyalty to some or the other kaum, I am inherently incapable of being loyal to my country?
It’s like a – this leads to the other situation? almost akin to a maslow heirarchy, eh? self->family->tribe/caste->religion->state->country->,

Ishmeet is a true Hero. Any other person would hv lost his cool in the face of taunts and abuses of racist judges. But Ishmeet kept his cool even under so much pressure and dint let all these things effect his singing.
Ishmeet is really a hero, a true youth icon. He is the perfect example of how a person can actually practice gandhigiri in actual life.
He neither reacted to abusive judges neither got bogged down by them.
He has shown himself to be a man of extremely strong charcter.
He is a simple,religous,down to earth, educated person.
Ishmeet, I salute you.
Today’s youngsters must learn something from you.

Some body told me here that even Lataji dint have any formal training in music. So u cant hold this fact against Ishmeet that he is not trained in classical music, though he has received some training. Ishmeet has a raw sweet voice and such a person deserves to be the VOI, not a classical singer.
Ishmeet has the sweetest voice and because of this only he has made it to top 2. I sincerely hope he finally emerges as the winner.

Your faith in Ishmeet’s singing and your belief that he came in the final 2 on the basis of his singing is very touching and I for one would hate to shatter that naivety in your thinking.
However if you believe that is how things are done in the music industry here, suffice to say that you are much mistaken.
Ishmeet is a good voice, undoubtedly, but nowhere near playback quality. Let us forget VOI for the moment, let’s assume Ishmeet IS the VOI, then what? Who does Ishmeet compete with? Sonu Nigam, Shaan, KK,Vijay Prakash and sometimes Kunal Ganjawalla (im not even counting Irfan and other new kids on the block or seniors like Abhijeet,Udit).
Now here is an experiment, listen to each of these singers and THEN listen to Ishmeet and tell me, where is the breakthrough in the voice? Where does Ishmeet’s voice make you stand up and say WOW, that IS different? Do you think that Ishmeet can grab songs from any of the above mentioned artistes unless he is got something really different? I think not.The music industry in India is a closed clique , with strong traditional mindsets and breaking into such a clique, requires oodles of raw talent, a thick skin, persistence,a good god father(mother too will do)and loadsa luck.
And this has nothing to do with classical riyaz etc (though that helps). I am talking raw voice quality, throw and range.
Ishmeet is a nice guy (perhaps too nice to last in this industry, we don’t know!!), but all nice guys do not make good singers!

lataji has recieved training in cla ssical music from her father,pandit dinanath mangeshkarji.but, shes definitely clawed her way up…it shows from her early songs in 1940s and the maturity in her voice in the late 50s snd 60s…
a singer who has no base in classical singing will fade out with in a couple of yrs, if not months.all bolly wood musicians have some amt of classical training..otherwise its impossible to survive.even jatin-lalit and aadesh, it does show in their earlier compositions.

Agree with Kalyani regarding Jatin.
Jatin get angry very easily and starts blaming wrong person, he should just relax and have some fun as nothing much happening in VOI.
@Sewa,
Ishmeet would have been eliminated before best 12 were selected, as everyone knows Gajj wanted to fool people and earn money, he is keeping Ishmeet in VOI just because of money otherwise…….
I think the judges wanted to eliminate Ishmeet instead of Abhas, but Gajj might have refused to do so because of money.
Maybe in the finals as I have mentioned earlier they will show highest MANIPULATED votes to Harshit and crown him VOI.
So pls. Jatin don’t take VOI too seriously or else u might have a heart attack if they declare Harshit VOI, because u also know that Judges supporting him.

When Sukhwinder came to mumbai, he had already sung in two punjabi movies and was a singer in bhojpuri too, secondly he did face a problem breaking into the industry because his voice was UNCONVENTIONAL and DIFFERENT and nobody wanted to take a chance with him in a big budget movie with a big budget hero, till chaiya chaiya happened with Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman. His problems were NOT because he was a village munda from Punjab (though that story sounds so much more dramatic)

So you see VOI is not the problem, like the fruitcake tarot reader told him, his problem comes AFTER he is done with VOI.

I havent made any comments against the kayastha people, but i was just trying to tell the reason behind Aadesh Shrivastava’s blind/mad support to Harshit Saxena.
As a judge Aadesh Shrivastava is expected to be neutral, he must see Harshit & Ishmit with the same eyes. But what is he doing- he is demoralising innocent Ishmeet to support the person of his community and in turn he and his colleague Lalit charge Ishmeet with getting regional votes where as he himself is blindly supporting his community boy to the extent over-looking his faults. How shameful.

When Ishmeet made it to the top 12, I was quite surprised that how a Sikh has managed to reach so far. I had great respect for the judges that they r secular and neutral people. My cousin also said on 21st September that though Ishmeet is a Sikh he has been treated quite fairly in VOI.
But all our illusions vanished on 28th September, when Abhijeet Da launched the first racist attack on Ishmeet “Kaho apne bhaiyon se”.
Ishmeet was left in tears so was the entire sikh community.
I remember I could not sleep that night, I felt as if I hv been insulted. Such was the impact.
That episode also marked my entry into this blog, before that I never knew any such blog existed. I wanted to protest this behaviour of Abhijeet somewhere and this blog proved a perfect platform.
But after that the series of insults have continued against Ishmeet.
Abhijeet cooled down, then Lalit took his place and launched a tirade against the whole Punjabi community by calling their votes as Anap-Shanap votes.
Lalit & Aadesh show no shame in displaying their hatred for the Punjabi/Sikh community. This is really amazing. I have never seen such open display of communalism in any reality show.
VOI marks the beginning of open communal display on Television.
Today Ishmeet’s community is bearing the brunt, Tomorrow some other community boy or girl might be insulted like this.
All the people irrespective of their religion must come together to protest against such open communal behaviour by the judges of VOI.
I know many ppl will get bored reading my message, but these are my honest views, which I thought I must share with the bloggers here.

Yes . Rohanpreet sings very well. There are other children who are singing excellently.. Suresh Wadekarji and Sonu Nigamji are simply splendid as judges. They give perfect comments and any criticism is constructive. Our VOI judges have a lot to learn from them.

Ishmeet is a cry baby. He cried openly on the show. I am ashamed of him being a Sikh. Sikh does not cry even when his scalp is cut. Remember the Sikh Martyrs. None of them cried.

i watched one episode of saregama lil champs..and i can tell u the progs pretty classy…the kids ahve wonderful voices..and can definitely give any voi contestant a run for their money…sonu nigam and suresh wadkar..are extremely good judges,very positive,encouraging..and a real pleasure.even if a kid doesnt sing well, they let them down very beautifully with inspiring words..
u shd see at least one episode…so shd gajendra singh…that guys forgotten how to make a classy show..

I am very excited for the finals. This was the least I could have expected. Generally, the best singers are voted out but SVOI has achieved something never achieved before. Wow, the best two contestants in the finals!!
1. Harshi.
Pros: Lisp factor (very sexy), blessings of dadi, Kayastha genealogy, ability to imitate any singer, burning ambition of paying off father’s loans, backing of two pillars of Indian music industry (Lalit & Aadesh). What else do you need to be a winner?
Cons:None
2. Ishmeet
Pros: Very humble and simple, innocent, follows Sikhism, belongs to Punjab, has a huge male fan following who can blog 24/7 for him , no formal training.
Cons: Ready to cry

After all the effort I put in my last comment, you still support Ishmeet. I agree he might be a slightly better singer than Harshit, but then my friend mind you, this competition is not about the best singer. Is it? This is where you are mistaken.

This scenario took place on the day of grand finale, when show was about to start and all of a sudden Gajji jumps on the stage and after that. . .

Gajji: hmmm.. 12 participants? …. SOOWAR KE BACHCHO.. (Addressing to judges) woh 12 the aur tum 5. phir bhi bahir ho gayeye . Kya samajh kur sub ko bahir nikala, Gajji bahot khus hoga sabasi dega kyoon? DHIKKAR HAI …
Jatin Lalit: immediately says, Gajji, saraswati maa ki kasam, may to neutral judge ho, mujhay zaleel nahin karo.
Gajji: Arre O Shaan… kitna inaam rakkhe hai Amul waly VOI par?
Shaan: sardar.. .. Poore 20 lakh and 1 gari ..
Gajji: Sunan.. poore 20 lakh aur 1 gari.. aur yeh inaam isliye hai ke yaha se pachas pachas kos door jub bhi koyee acha singer acha gana gata hay, to uss kay parents kahtay hai beta/beti acha mut gaa.. nahi to Gajji sunlega. Aur yeh 5 haraam jaade..ye Gajinder singh kaa naam poora mitti me milaay diye.. aur itnay achay singers final 2 may lay aye… sajaa milegi.. baraabar milegi..( Abhijeet se revolver leta hai aur usse poochhta hai) kitni goli hai iske andar?
Abhijeet: (woh chauk jaata hai, or speechless)

Abhijeet: (shivering) Chhe sardaar (six)
Gajji: (khud se) chhe (6)? (Shouts) 6 GOLI.. 6 GOLI HAI ISKE ANADAR.. 6 goli aur judge 5… bahot naa insaafi hai yeh…( 1 goli hawa me uda deta hai) ab theek hai. haa ab theek hai.. ab iske 5 khaano (holes) me goli hai 1 khali.. ab ham issko ghumaege….(…) ab kaha goli hai kaha nahi? .. hamko nahi pata .. hamko kuchh nahi pataa. is revolver me 5 jindagi (life) 1 maut (death) band hai… dekhe kisse kya milta hai? Moves his revolver towards Jatin Pandit….
Jatin Lalit: Gajji , saraswati maa ki kasam, may jhoot boloon to mujhay roti na millay, actually shaan bhi brabar kaa partner hay, 6 gooliaan poori karo nahin to tumhay saraswat maa ka ashrap lagay gaa.
Shaan: Aray kia baat hay jatin ji aap ki, harami kaam aap karein aur goli khayin hum. Wah wah issi khusi may TALIYAANN (clapping)

Abhijeet : Agar Toshi or Irfan kay eliminate honay pur mujhay goli Khani pari to may chup nahin rahun gaa, iss leye mujhay chup rahney do and don’t disturb me or else I’ll ask Ishmeet to call his brothers and get Gajji killed. (Gaji again gets confused!)

Lalit Pandit: Gajji, mera khayal hay kay aaj goli mujhay nahin lagay gi, yeh meri sirf prediction hay, agay tumhari marzi. Lekin yah anap shanap goliaan maar kur tum bach nahin jayoo gay. Janta tumhay nahin choray gee.
Now Gajji is very confused, because no body dared to speak against Gabbar Singh (in Sholay) and here everyone retaliated to Gajinder Singh! (they have Singh in common).
Gajji: points his revolver towards Shaan and says .. .teraa kya hoga Shaan?
Shaan: ..s..sardar… maine aapkaa namak khaayaa hai sardaar..
Gajji: ab.. goli kha! (revolver Shaan par chalata hai use goli nahi lagati) kamaal ho gaya… Pehla bachh gaye ( ab Gajji ka hansane chaalu karataa hai) yeh Shaan h.. ha ha .. ko .. goli nahi lagi( ab Gajji jor se hans rahaa hai) (5 judges bhi hasnaa chaalu karate hai…. aur achanak 5 goliyon ki aawaaj aati hai aur woh 5 judge mar jaate hai… ekdam sannataa chha jaata hai.. thodi der baad Gajji says) jiss nay acha gaya.. samazo eliminate ho gayaa.
Now Harshit & Ishmeet were present at this scene and they were so scared and ran away from the stage. Lataji was very happy because he didn’t want to choose VOI from final 2 and Amul company went bankrupt for sponsoring VOI.
No evil doing meant here, just a funny side of VOI. If anybody’s hurt, my apologies in advance.

Breaking news. In a show 5 Stupids (Alka, Jatin, Lalit, Abhijeet & Aadesh) sorry judges died when they tried to sing like Toshi, Irfan, Abhaas, Sumitra & Arshpreet. Our reporters just informed that it happened when some intelligent & genius guys (Kalyani, Ateeq, NZgal, Rishi, Jatin, Alok, Navnit, Sadiq and many others like specially me)challenged their musical talents and to prove that they are better than the above mentioned 5 eliminated contestants.
A good news for our viewers that we are the only channel collected the video tape of their last moments. Here it is:
Abhijeet challenged to sing Toshi’s song “Piya Re Piya Re” – Alka Re Alka Re Alka Re Alka Re – eeeeee, Tara Bina Lagi Nehi Mara Jiyaaaaaaaaaaaaa and he collapsed on the floor and an ambulance carried him to the Hospital (Doctors declared dead).
Then Alka with a cigarette tried to sing Sumitra’s song “Bidi Jalailey” – Ciga Jalaikey Mein Pita Hi Jau, Aur Body Mein Aag Laga Duuuuuuu and just at that moment she finds that she already did it. Before someone tried to do something she turned into ashes.
Then Aadesh tried to sing Irfan’s song “Alvida Alvida” – Alvida Alvida Aur Kehna Aur Kiya Jub Sabnehi Dekha Tha SVOImein mene Kiya Kiya keeyaaaaaaa, Alvidaaaaaa and certainly the whole roof fall upon him and…….
Then the self proclaimed neutral devil sorry judge tried to sing Abhaas’s song (Basically Kishore Kumar Ji’s “O Saberiaa” – AAA Kesey Dil Lageee Dil Pe Eh Katariya Ohhh Larrkiyaaaaaaaaa, Janey Kaisey Nagariyaaaaaaa……Just that moment he could not resist dual singing act anymore and with a massive heart attack he……….
Lalit Pandit (So much doubt in that title) has been always a clever one (Monkey). After close observations of others conditions he tried to sing Arshpreets song “Mein Kuri Anjanee Hu” as he can’t never sing like a male singer – Mein Judge Anjana Hu Aa Ha, City Anjan Hooo, Aah Ha, Yeah Ke Vaure Oha Ke Vaure, and certainly after hearing this disturbing voice thousands of Bees attacked on him and the last words came from his mouth was Aaa Haaa.
So it’s an example for other judges to never do such things what these stupid judges did with some talents in future.

I have heard that Gajendra ji is planning a cricket match between Bemisaal Barah and India XI. And he has offered the script-writing contract to Ateeq with Jatin and myself as Umpires when Ishmeet is batting. The post of third umpire goes to Kalyani I mean whenever me or Jatin erred in judgement. Ishmeet’s decisions are out of the purview of third umpire.

Now on a serious note, discrimination against Ishmeet is continuing unabated in VOI. You guys must be watching VOI promos.
Two promos are being aired on
star plus,
One showing both Harshit & Ishmeet.
Second one showing only Harshit asking for votes for him
Now my question is why are they not showing similar promo for Ishmeet. These VOI people want votes only for harshit & not for Ishmeet.
This is disgusting behaviour of VOI Team and Gajendra Singh.
Mr Gajendra Singh, please hv some shame and treat both the contestants equally.
You should also air a promo asking for votes for Ishmeet too.
It looks certain that Ishmeet will be treated unfairly in the finals.

Main to Ishmeet ka Quila thaame huye hu, magar ek problem ho rahi hai. Mobile ke signal nahi aa rahe is jagah par, nahi to Saraswati Maa Ki Kasam, kam se kam 100000000000 SMS kar daalta.
Chalo! Surekha ji aap SMS karti raho, Kalyani ki baato par dhyaan mat dena. Agar SMS nahi kiya to aapka naam Su-rekha (Good rekha) se Ku-rekha (Bad rekha) rakh dunga and then aapka naam bhi “K” se ho jaayega. Yaad rahe humko 4th Laash ki sakht jarurat hai. Kalyani I live in US and shuttle between US and Europe. From Friday no more shuttling. I dont have a star connection at home.
I think I sent sms only once when I visited my parents. But afterwards I dint bother to send sms coz i did not think its worth it.

I still wonder, the jokes / stories are considered as filth whereas the language used by Kamal is considered acceptable. Just because jokes are aimed at a particular blogger (not singer) they are considered as filth.
By the way Kamal, no person on earth can say who his real father is.
Let me, for a change, talk sense (sense- because ‘some’ people consider jokes as non-sense).
In none of the threads in this blog, more than 400 messages have been received. Hundred messages are from Jatin, Fifty from myself, twenty from Kalyani and then there are some occasional bloggers. So a reasonable estimate is that there are not more than 50 bloggers. Out of these 50, about 25 people would be voters (though I feel that this is a very high estimate). 20 votes from internet are considered equal to 1 vote through SMS.
So, I don’t think regular chanting about one singer on this blog is going to make any significant difference.
If these ‘some’ people consider Kamal’s using the word “Chu**ye” or “Bin byaahi Maa ki Aulad” etc acceptable as his response to the jokes- well I don’t have anything to say on their opinion.
By the way, Kamal let me again be non-sensical for you- just to remind u something.
All the Kauravas were “Sachche Baap ki Aulad” and all the Pandavas were not. I hope you have read this much of Mahabharata. And, see the difference in character of Kauravas and Pandavas- and whom the God supported. Sachche Baap ki Aulad does not guarantee that a person will have a fine character.

Supporting somebody is good, after all what is a human without a passion. So your passion for Ishmeet is good.
However there are two ways of showing support or winning people over, one is to mindlessly chant that your point of view is THE correct one without any logical reasoning put forth to support that perspective
and the other way is to logically argue out as to why you think what you are saying is the best viewpoint.
If you look at the way discussions on this blog have gone about supporting Ishmeet, it’s all one chant : “support Ishmeet”, why? because he is a polite, well bought up, shy, victim of insults from the world and a Sikh ? This is no battleground to prove victory for any religion …….
This is no way to argue out for your candidate. Instead why don’t you enlighten the rest of us on this blog what is the basis on which you believe Ishmeet is a great singer? Is it his tonal range? Is it is grasp of taal? Is it his energy? Is it his shruti, laya? In which song did he touch your hearts and why? Technically what are the things that give Ishmeet the edge?
Instead of going about this in a manner that will win supporters and arguing on the basis of what this contest is all about, this discussion has degenerated into all sorts of things.
Unfortunately, Music is a bit like interior decoration,everybody has an opinion and everybody thinks his/her opinion is the right one. We forget that music is a study and has infinite depth, as Khayaam saab said, “yeh ek ilm hai”, and unless you understand the “ilm” , how will you go about promoting your passion?
Having a hero and a passion is great, but aspiring for reflected glory on the basis of specious arguments does not win friends!

Both of your posts have been excellent, Keep it up. However, I have few questions to ask.
Do you think I started this without any provocation or reason?
Did I abuse anybody by using such language?
NZgal was prompt to respond to silly jokes but she remained silent when Jatin wrote to a decent lady blogger “Sabko dee, mujhe kab degi”? He smartly disowned it later.
Don’t u think Jatin/Sewa/Kamal appear and disappear on the same dates?
I know the humour posted recently by me is actually Pyjama humour and I used to do this when I was about twenty years of age. But talking sense like you did not help me here in this blog. I was just trying to convey Jatin that we all agreed what Abhijeet said was bad but also there is no need to cry about it everyday in 100 posts-all identical.

- I do not wish to comment on the interaction between Jatin and NZ gal, jisko jo dena hai, de , aur jisko jo lena hai , woh le, I have no lena-dena in that
-On the simultaneous arrival and departure of Messers,Jatin, Sewa and Kamal, I must admit that this too baffled me. Like the three wise men of the Bible, they keep appearing and disappearing, the answer to this is quite simple; either this is all an uncanny coincidence or they are 3 ids of the same person!
Oh and lastly, Rishi, talking sense always helps, this blog or otherwise !!!

I have no intention to offend anybody. The reason i lost my cool was entirely because of people like rishi making uneccassary jokes through movie stories on jatin. he is merely supporting his contestant and not making fun of them. they are free to agree or disagree to what he says but in no way they have the right to insult him by playing such foolish jokes on him.
i think the moment they apologize to jatin about this i shall make an apology too.
till then nobody shall hear from me. i am not going to comment any further on this blog.
let the actual person who deserve win the title.

I took utmost care of NOT abusing people (except for some leg-pulling) through some Pyjama humour- and now I think that the point has been conveyed to many- It is right time for me to sincerely apologise to people if I hurt them in the process (unintentionally though).

Boss do you know the reason why these guys like Rishi,Kristo & others are making fun of me.
These guys just cant digest the fact that a sikh guy is going to win this contest.
Unfortunately our country still has a large section of people who hate sikhs like any thing. Lalit & aadesh are among them.
In this blog we have Rishi,Kristo,Imran & Ateeq holding anti-sikh flag. Their slogan is
“Down with Sikhs”.
I am surprised that even after maestros like Ustad Amjad ali khan, Abida Parveen, Singers Roop Kumar Rathod filmmaker mahesh Bhatt have praised ishmeet for his exceptional singing talent, still some bloggers here dare to call Ishmeet a mediocre singer.
Nzgal is right these guys r frustrated that their favourite singers hv been shown the door and Ishmeet has made it to the final 2.
I just pity these guys.

The people like Aadesh, Lalit , Rishi, Kristo, Ateeq, Imran are neo-nazis.
Like the Nazis targetted the jews, these people r targetting an innocent sikh boy.
Yesterday, I was reading some messages from some south indian guys in some other blog, that whole south india is supporting ishmeet because of his sweet voice, clean character, his calm attitude in wake lalit-aadesh assaults on him.
I thought that see even the south indian people can feel for a north-indian sikh guy, they can recognize the genuineness of Ishmeet, but some north indian guys here are putting ishmeet down just because of communal reasons.what a shame.
I salute the South-indian community supporting Ishmeet.

I’m really pissed off at the judges from UP- Adesh, Jatin, Lalit. Their ignorant and racist remarks against u and how calmly u behave make u my fav. contestant. The ppl from UP think that they have a birthright to every privilege in India – be it a singing compitition or the seat of PM( Note the comment made by that clown raju shrivaastav). And i really liked it when Abhijeet Da stopped Lalit from saying that “Punjab to poore India mein phella hua hai”. Abhijeet corrected him saying that “UP to poore prithivi aur akaash mein phella hua hai”. And i hated it when Lalit refered to the votes Ishmeet gets as anap-shnap votes!!!!!!. I’m from the South and I know how the ppl from Hindi speaking states treat/think of other states.

Ishmeet is the best singer in VOI. The judges are baised and are trying to promote only Harsheet which is very bad for the programme
Abhijeet has been vocal in his displeasure over the best singing sensation.
The bare exception is Alka. She is the best judge among the other fellow judges

I’m sorry and I whole heartidly recognise Toshi talent and appologise again for using wrong words against him and his fans.
Actually and as a matter of fact, I hate Ishmeet’s singing qualities but he belongs to my sardar community and I have to support him under communal pressure. He does not have anything special but a sweet voice. Now having only sweet voice does not means that he deserves to be in BEMISAAL 12. But now when he is in top 2, I love him so much. I LOVE YOU INNOCENT ISHMEET.

Arre yaar, even if Ishmeet was white, green, blue, black or brown, sikh, hindu , muslim, christian, aborigine, shaman, pagan or atheist, I would still have the same opinion of his singing.
You my friend seem to have some severe chip on your shoulder that is reflected in this bizarre communication excercise that you are undertaking under the identities of jatin (I and II), kamal,sewa, etc…..

None of our posts for or against Ishmeet is not going to make any difference to this reality show.

On making it to the finals
“I never thought I will reach the finals but I always wanted to give my best, rest is all luck. It is very encouraging for any participant to constantly get highest votes from the audience. I want them to continue supporting me in the finals as well and hopefully the result will be positive.”
Preparing for the finals
“I want to perform well in the finals so that I am able to maintain a soft corner in audience’s mind. Winning and losing the show is not important. Reaching the finals is the biggest achievement. I am not tense about the finals because I am very confident of myself. My mentors are also egging me on. I know the real struggle will start after the finals.
Performing in front of Lataji
“When I will sing in front of Lataji, it will be the memorable moment of the show for me. We will meet her and take her blessings. Both of us are expectedly a little bit nervous. She is like Goddess Saraswati. We will make sure that she likes our performance.”
About the show and his experiences
“I give credit to my judges as they selected me first. Then the audience too has played a big role in my success. This show has changed my whole life. People have started recognizing me and my parents are also feeling proud of me. It has given me an identity. Whenever I go out my fans come to me and ask – you are Ishmeet from VOI right?”
“Sometimes judges used to give me harsh comments and also told me that I do not deserve to be here but then they only selected me. At one point of time I used to feel bad but then I ignored it so that my performance does not be affected. Shaan bhaiya used to cheer me on a lot though.”
Future plans
“I have already got some singing offers. I have got offers from Punjabi music directors and will also be singing for some devotional movies.”
This week both contestants went to Ludhiana and Varanasi for their live performances. The episode featuring all this will come on air Friday-Saturday 10pm. The final will be held in Mumbai next Saturday.

Secondly, when u guys endlessly praise Toshi, its not boring, its discussion on music. But when i raise my valid concerns about ishmeet, it becomes boring.Why these double standards. I swear by God that i have not written any bad message to Kalyani. I never had any quarrel with her, so the question of writing any bad message to her does not arise. Infact Dinesh had written quite obscene messages to NZgal. You dint say any thing at that time. I respect both these ladies and reading their blogs is a pleasure.
Secondly, I addressed my Toshi message to lot of people, not u alone. Its possible u might not hv written a lot about him, but there r others who are singing his praises all the time.
I am quite surprised with the behaviour of Alok today, I never abused him so why did he resorted to abusaries to me.
I agree Kamal should not use abusive language against any blogger, though i wont mind if he uses that language against VOI judges as they deserve it.

I didnt start all this. It was there foolish jokes that made me angry.People are free to have there opinion here and nobody is supposed to make fun of them.I wont be using any abusive language for anybody but that doesnt stop me from using the same if somebody tries to act smart by cracking silly jokes on not only you but anybody on this blog.
and yes i agree with you jatin.if these two guys lalit-adesh are publicly honoured than i must say that the people of UP have decided to choose VOUP not VOI.they know how hard these two pricks have been trying to get him win this title.
this clearly differentiates them from Punjab where Harshit got most of the applause. This means they just vote for what they like and not for there religion or local hero.
