I am writing from Sunny California, and could not resist writing a few lines based on what I got to see in today’s episode. I see the improvement and confidence building up with several of this cute kids, as aptly stated by Kunal, I would like to second on what was stated by him today. The past few episodes esp 15th Dec, 29th Dec and today’s was simply mind blowing… Indian kids rock and the talent is par excellence. Each and everyone is talented, however I can simply not resist from rewinding and watching few of the stated dates episodes. It is kind of hurting to see the kids being eliminated though ~ the show needs to come with a better format and a Jargon, instead of the word “ELIMINATE’, how can anyone be eliminated at such an young age ~ life should be full of chances and in this case training and re-training.

At the current time, I have rewinded several times the following performances:
Chotta Balu from the film OMKARA
Pahadi Dragon again from the film OMKARA
The SPY Girl (Anwesha) for today and Mayya Mayya (Guru).
Loud Speaker ~ her voice just rocks and again 2 of her songs.
Ash (Gol Papdi Girl) again she has a wonderful voice, however I would like to see her take up the challenge and sing the two songs sung by Anwesha, I know it is kind of an unfair thing to ask and compare, but it would be a good gauge to know what can be expected of this future talent. In a way I kind of feel bad for Chotta Balu and Sonya and other kids, because I think finally it would be Anwesha and Ash who will close the deal. Hence based on this I think it would proper for the show format to change for the coming future.

ELIMINATION does not mean it is the end of the world for any of the talent that participate on this show.

I have been on a roll, I hope I did not bore you folks.

    May God Bless them all.

Also I would like to know, what is Mr. Harshid, Ms. Sumitra Iyer and others from the previous show doing these days? Would appreciate it if someone from Star VOI update on each and every contestants current status. For me, I have been watching this shows for the past 6 months now, thanks to all of the folks who are responsible to upload the same on the NET so expeditiously.

well i m 86% convince with Goofyal and am with him but,
as he mention in his comment that:

the show needs to come with a better format and a Jargon, instead of the word “ELIMINATE’, how can anyone be eliminated at such an young age ~ life should be full of chances and in this case training and re-training.

well goofyal the process of elimination and their eliminating rule, i think its all perfect and managmeable and fair.

I think the eliminating is NECESSARY at this stage, bcs todays kids thinking and their intelect is far more different as ours at that age.

Now childerens only think about SUCCESS and VICTORY they dont know about the DEFEAT and TRY!!!

through this EMINATING it builds a sence of defeat and tryness in them, i know its paintful seeing those kids crying and dishearted but they learn lessons frmm this, that what is defeat and how they overcome it by sorting out our mistakes!!!!

i think u got my point!

and in all i m frm pakistan but i love to c this show because its worth for childerens.

God bless u all and best of luck VOI team.

Hello AhmedBhai, first of all Salam Wallikom and Allaha Hafiz… now tell me how do you work out this numbers Bro, like 86%, can u teach me :) ;) I would like to learn the science behind it… :) just kidding man… so chill and take it easy… Yes here I agree with you 100% on what you have stated, I guess you are right with your analogy… however I still feel once the talent is recognized, StarVOI should come out with some kind of avenues to make sure all of these talents pursue to continue on what is God Gifted in them and not deviate due to other challenges that they may have have to face in life (God forbidding). As it is, we all get entertained freely each week and I am sure StarVOI benefits off of it commercially… so based on this I hope there is some kind of pay back designed to each of this talents based on there number of participation in the show. I hope there is some kind of incentive established for reaching each level, or else the way I see it concluding is for StarVOI to get richer as these shows keeps continuing to grow, and with progression of time all it would result is to have tapped into several talents off of which quite a few of them could have made it with that extra support it takes ~ I guess most of these talents go through this pain staking process hoping to receive that extra support… would you agree?

    Hello

I am from Pakistan , I would like to say that the elimination of Shailey is out and out injustice with her , when judges start making such kind of decisions so what would be the role of their sitting, Although they are good at and professional as far as music is concerned but we also know the music no matter a little bit.

I believe a guy who is just 8 years of age should have been eliminated from the show,

I WONDER IF THIS IS AN SINGING COMPETITION OR AN PLACE FOR GETTING HEALTH BENEFITS AND SYMPATHY CREATED VOTES

  10. By GoofyAL on Jan 7, 2008 | Reply

Very well stated, I can’t agree with you less… They purely need to stick to the Talent part of the competition and ignore all personal issues. This is totally unfair to deserving Talents. Next, I also agree with Shailey being unfairly booted (excuse the expression)… such things happen when undesirable issues are being introduced giving an edge to someone resulting in a handicap for the ones truly deserving. I am sure with few more chances Shailey would have improved better then few of the kids currently “IN”. However I hope the end result is not screwed up like the previous.

Anyway, all this Kids are certainly God gifted, hence it would be ungodly to name any particular individual and curse, so lets try to refrain.

In conclusion, God Bless Shailey and I am sure “Sai Ram” has good plans for her.

I am too happy to see Girls are ahead of the boys in the competition. Specifically, Anveshwa and Aishwrya, Prakriti.

  15. By GoofyAL on Jan 8, 2008 | Reply

In fact the show should select StarVOI from each gender or else soon we will get to hear songs like in Half Ticket “aake seedhi lagi dil pe jaise kaTariyaa o saaNwariyaa oye aaake seedhi lagi dil pe jaise kaTariyaa o saaNwariyaa oye hoye o teri tirchhi najariyaa aa” ~ not sure if any one will like it more than once done already… currently they have Abbas slated for that… In fact the previous show could have picked quite a few female voices…

ANWESHA sang the aami je tomaar song from bhool bhulaiyaa so0o0o0o0o0o0o0 beautifully. She did full justice to the song. It sounded as if Shreya ghoshal was singing. AMAZING!! She stunned everyone.

ANWESHA DUTTA WILL BE CHHOTE USTAAD…NO DOUBT!!

Taking a look at her performances right now and the previous ones, she’s really creating a statement that she will win.
I know alot of you like her and want her to win. That’ll happen if you vote.
    Please vote for her…:)

Can I vote via online, if so how… kindly provide navigation info… thanks!

Yes it would be a Joke based on current status for Anwesha to not win, I am in total agreement with you. However based on her professionalism, I kind of feel bad for other Chotte Ustads who are way younger than her… they should receive some kind of price money as well… Without naming individuals, let me tell you there are 5 who can be future play back singers, so go figure guys…

talent. if we are voting for talent. she is the one. no doudt about it. what can i say, i don’t know much about music, but what feels good to my ears that touch my souls that’s music. that is the defination about good singing that shooth your souls.Anvesha really does it for me. she is amazing.

    thanks.

Anwesha is brilliant, so is Aishwarya, and I liked Gitashree’s voice very much (her Chanda oh Chanda). Prakriti is weaker (her voice and holding of sur) but there are about 6 or 7 youngsters giving us first class entertainment every week.

I would join the call for the programme to help all (or top 6 or 7 finalists in furthur training through scholarships etc. After all, that was Shreya Ghoshal’s prize when she first won the kids SRGM: a couple of years of training and musical education, and look where she is now.
Music is hard work and daily practise and it is very easy to become so-so at it despite having talent if you don’t work continually to better yourself.
Thanks for the videos for us that live abroad and to the CHote Ustad kids!!!

    hi gooofyal bro hw r u i m fine

yaar wase that talent of 86% is just a imaginary calculation of mine ;) u can also do that :d

well bro yes i m absolutely agree with u that in VOI chote ustaad there must b come kind of award for participation or any kind of encouragment factor that encourage those participant who are eliminated so these young talent will participate will full confidence in future.

like in ANTAKSHIRI little stars whether team loose or win they awarded them with certificaton so these achievements would become usefull for them in there career.

i think and I hope that VOI chotte ustaad should made this changes so every talent whether win or loose always have their smile on their faces :)

realy bcs after all they childerens nice and sweet :)

P.S: bro sorry for the late reply my comp was out dated :p

Allah Hafiz and God bless u all and VOI

hmm im totaly convince and agree with u

    well i have a q
is it fair to collect votes not by talent but of sympathy or kindness???

well i have found some places though every kid whether sonia or anwehsa or that classical guru :)
is full of amazingly blasting talents but…..

some where this wil creat un justice to other participants !!!

    i think what u say??

I agree there are lot of children who are in similar situations like Jayant. There should not be comments like he is visually handicapped. He is himself a good singer, he does not need sympathy vote. Comments like this child is cute, this child has beautiful cheeks just undermines the fair ness of contest. Because of comments like this the good contestant Geetashri and Shaily got eliminated at earlier rounds.

Though Anwesa deserves to be the Chhote Ustaad, by all indications Prikriti is going to win the title. She is from North-eastern part and she is already showing tremendous voting power like Prasant Tamang of Indian Idol. People from north-eastern part will never let her down.

    Dear Mr. Gajendra,

I am writing this mail from the Maldives. I am a regular fan of voice of india. The last show ( 15th & 16th ), looks like that the judges are favouring Anvesha and Aishwarya. Ok now it has come to public votes and the public will decide whom to choose. Understand that after the last senior competition, judges too have a say in final as well. But, without encouraging the small ones, they should not comment harsh on Prakirthi. She too sings well. Agree that other 2 are good singers and prakirthi is not up to their standard. It is better for the judges to give their comments equally and not to demoralize the contestents.

I felt very bad when Kunal’s comment on Prakirthi. He made that poor girl to shed tears on the stage. Atleast all judges would have given her adiuttam and not mathyam. Very sad. Where else, Mr. Adheesh has given his good comment on prakirthi. Who is renown music director. Also a judge of senior voice of india.

This is not a complaint but my genuine feelings towards them.

Hope you will understand whay I am trying to say and take necessary action as all world is watching the show as well.

    Thanks
