Is that true? Then justice is done at last. While she is a sweet girl with a voice to match, she should have gone long before people like Jayant or Mansi.
Just not there yet, which is not to say that with hard work, training and musical education she might not be there in the future.

Really looking forward to the show now. Vyom is weakest as of now, but just look how much he improves with just a few suggestions..should seriously take up music because voice quality (and song choice) is very good!

I, too, think that this elimination is fair. Even though I like Prakriti Giri because of her admirable personality, I think that her singing falls far short of the standard set by Anvesha and Aishwarya. Anvesha, Aishwarya, Sonya and Vyom are truly the most deserving contestants to be in the top four. I congratulate the viewers and the judges for their correct decisions so far. Best wishes to Prakriti Giri for her future.

P.S. What about the Challengers? Aren’t they supposed to come in to the show this week?

The above comments are absolutely on target.I want to add this. Prakriti, this is not the end of the road for you. Continue to concentrate on music, work hard and hopefully come back next year.

Actually I was scared that the Darjeeling mass voting will end up making Prakriti the winner of this contest. However I have seen many messages in other forums from people in Darjeeling supporting Aishwarya. Hats off to them.

Now the contest can zoom in for the mega final between Aishu and Annu. I can’t wait for the dream final between these two darlings.

I agree with all the above. She is a sweet girl but there are better contestants than her. Good luck to her and hope she takes this positively. Between Aishwarya & Anvaisha I’d go for Anvaisha.

wow thats a gr8 news & it be total justice done by judges.Even though prakriti was a sweet girl with golden heart ..but in singing she was lagging behind the other 4.I think this is the wonderful decision taken by Gajji by giving the authority for judges to eliminate the contestants..
The same could have been the trend in saregamapa so that kids like Vibhore, doshi, smitha would have not been out of the prog today:(

There is nothing to say “waw great” at her elimination but I do agree with all of you that it was time for Prakriti to go. I believe she will eventually become a good singer but as of now there are better contestants.

I also agree with varsha that saregamapa should have given some power to the judges to save some good contestants from getting eliminated because of [poor] voting. May be they will learn from SVOI and adopt the same system for their forthcoming shows.

Hi ,

This show has become so predictable now.Elimination round Prakriti Giri, Yyom & Sonia. No need to speculate.Show to be enjoyed to hear talented kids singing.
Now, who will win between Anwesha & Ashwariya ? Pretty soon this will become very clear from Judges comments.

Cheers!

@ALL:

For those who missed MANSI’s performance, let me provide this link once again, and you can decide if she should have been eliminated before ~ Jayant, Abeer, Areeb, and Prakriti, this Kid is just 10 years Old and in fact looks her age for certain :)

THE ELIMINATION OF PRAKRITI GIRI DOES NOT SURPRISE ANYONE . HER SINGING IN LAST EPISODE WAS HOWEVER FLAWLESS AND SHE PERFORMED BETTER THAN SONIYA .PRAKRITI ‘S SUR IS PERFECT EVEN PROBABLY THE BEST AMONG ALL THE CONTESTANTS BUT HER SINGING HAS ABSOLUTELY NO SOUL . IF SHE RECEIVES PROPER TRAINING SHE CAN BECOME THE FIRST PLAYBACK SINGER FROM NORTHEAST.GOOD LUCK PRAKRITI.

Devkishen,

I like Prakritis voice, but her sur is definitely not flawless. She slips up, perhaps ever so little. I have an “expert” ear here, who will even count the number of times each contestant slips in their “sur” and by how much!! and Prakriti is always among there. Anwesha is one who has hardly ever slipped up once or twice in the entire series and that is some record! Cos it happened even to Barhe Ustaads, good ones, acc to my expert, which just goes to show the admirable control Anwesha has over her musicality.

I do hope though that Prakriti is able to receive some training. It is a pity that these shows do not offer the Prize of singing or music education to at least the top five or six (peanuts in money terms) rather than recording contracts.

That is the prize Shreya got for winning the first Little SRGMP (a year and a half of specialized training) and look where that got her!

What do you think about this idea?

Ur right!
A singing scholarship of sorts is truly a priceless gift. I hope they take ur suggestion for future contests. Without the money at stake only those who are genuinely interested in developing their music sense will participate. But its not a bad idea to give some prize money..maybe not lakhs, to the top three or five…However I wish something is done about this voting!Very often the non deserving participant wins the trophy. Its sad.
Thanks for sharing that bit about shreya’s prize being higher training in music…i didnt know that. shes a fantastic singer.
regards
fairy

People there is nothing to feel good about and the bullent mentioned by many above seem so out of the world! I hadn’t seen such feeling of rejoice when other contestants were out, for god sake these are little kids doing their best and you being adults – its pathetic.

I too agree that Prakriti was numbered and she is out according to the singing she was doing but there is nothing to rejoice about. Little kids on the block and you can’t spare them too.

Anyways, I can forcast one thing, the whole chhote ustaad team is trying their best to make Anvesha the Chhote Ustaad and I know she will. I like her singing very much and consider she is the most deserving, but this also doesn’t mean that you discard all the other contestants with little attention and even make the judges appeal for Anvesha’s votes. This is pathetic.

Hope everything rolls fair and fine. I love watching chhote ustaad and haven’t missed one.

You have shown your true colors by showing so much hatred towards Prakriti. Amitava is correct in saying that “I hadn’t seen such feeling of rejoice when other contestants were out”.

Even though you say golden heart etc your other words show the happiness you share in watching her go.

The joy you have shown at Prakriti’s elimination is a stab in the “golden heart” you mention while repeatedly using “justice” justice has been served and so on.

Anyway good luck to all the rest of the contestants.

Looking forward to more moving performances that I know is in store for us Chote Ustad fans.

Live and let live don’t be a jerk to little kids.
