ABHAAS has far better voice than kunal Gunjwala ,he sounds very ordinary!i can’t believe that this guy got chance in playback unless being cousin of Mr.Bansali
he is no match for shreya.

“TEEN QANASTAR PEET PEET KAR GALA FAAD KAR CHILANA YAAR MERE MAT BURA MAAN YE GANA HAI NA BAJANA HAI—” THIS SONG FROM FILM LOVE MARRIAGE APTLY SUMS UP THE EPISODE OF 16TH FEB. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF DELICATE VOCAL CHORDS OF YOUNG CHILDREN. THE TOPIWALA COMPOSER HAS ABOUT HALF A DOZEN SONGS SUNG BY ALKA AND SHREYA WHICH ARE WORTH LISTENING TO THE REST IS ALL NOISE AND NOTHING ELSE . THE REAL MUSIC LOVERS MIGHT HAVE HARDLY ENJOYED THE SONGS SELECTED FOR THIS EPISODE. PEOPLE WILL DOUBT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH IF YOU SING HIMMESH’S COMPOSITIONS IN PUBLIC PLACE.
I REQUEST GAJENDRA SINGH TO TAKE PROPER CARE OF YOUNG CHILDREN AND SELECT MELODIOUS SOFT COMPOSITIONS FOR THEM.
ACCORDING TO ME IRRESPECTIVE OF QUALITY OF SONGS SELECTED FOR THIS EPISODE AND SUNG BY THE CONTESTANTS AISHWARYA PERFORMED BRILLIANTLY.SHE WAS IN BEST FORM .THOUGH HIGH PITCH SONG OF RESHAMMIYA WAS NOT HER CUP OF TEA SHE RENDERED THE SONG EFFORTLESSLY WITH EXCELLENT THROW . SUPERB AISHWARYA!KEEP IT UP. ANVESHA GREATLY DISAPPOITED. SONIYA AS USUAL SOUNDED ORDINARY. RIGVED WAS BETTER THAN IN LAST EPISODE. PRAKRITI DID NOT DISAPPOINT.SHE HAS IMPROVED VASTLY. THE SURPRISE PACKAGE WAS VYOM WHO THOUGH ERRATIC AT PLACES HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME A SINGER. THERE IS DEPTH IN HIS VOICE .HE HAS TO TRAIN VERY VERY HARD TO REACH ACCEPTABLE STANDARDIN PLAYBACK SINGING.
THE JUDGES WERE BROBABLY MADE TO DRINK SOME SORT OF ELIXIR WHICH ELEVATED THEIR MOOD TO FIND EVEN ORDINARY SINGING AS GREAT AND VERY GENEROUSLY GAVE SARVOUTTAM TO ALMOST ALL THE PARTICIPANTS WHETHER THEY DESERVED IT OR NOT . MAINTAIN THIS GENEROSITY IN REST OF THE EPISODES FOR LIFTING THE SAGGING SPIRIT OF YOUNG PERFORMERS.

    MY COMMENTS ON THIS EPISODE:

1-AISHWARYA IS GREATER AMONG ALL AS USUAL
2-ANWESHA SUNG A SONG, WHICH IS NOT HER LEVEL,
SHE IS A BEST SINGER BUT CHOISE WAS NOT GOOD
    SO SHE SUNG IT ORDINARARY.
    3-SONIA WAS LITTLE GOOD.
4-PRIKRITI CHOISE AND SINGING WAS TOO GOOD.
5-REGVED NOT A SINGER FOR THIS PLATFORM, WAISTING
    HIS AND VIEWERS TIME.
6-VYOM IMPROVING VERY WELL..HE WAS SUNG VERY WELL
BUT INTEREPTED BY GEJENDER JEE, SO HE SCARED.
GAJENDAR JEE YOUR THIS ACTION WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE
FOR VIEWER, THESE ARE CHOTE USTAAD NOT MATUARE USTAD,
LITTLE BIT MISTAKE ALLOWED FOR THEM.
SO TAKE CARE AND DONT DISTRUB THEM, IF YOU DISTRUBE,
HANDOVER THIS PROGRAM TO ANY COOL MIND DIRECTOR.

STAR VOI CU IS A GREAT PROGRAM.

This show was good … It depicted the ranges of Chote Ustaad..

In general male normal voice scale is more than female voice scale and HR ji always sings in higher scale… (It is really tough to sing in the lower scale and to keep all the lower notes perfect…) The main thing in HR’s song is expression which made HR so famous.

Apart from Righved all are good …..

Aishwarya- She was fantastic… as usual …
Anwesha — as usual brilliant … ( She sang for two singers – male and female both were having different scales..)
    Prakiti – Fantastic expression
Vyom – Again very good expression
Sonia — littile bit nervous …. but she took the toughest one …. bcoz that song was sung by HR himself only….

Dear Devkishin ji …. this is for you only…..

    ” Prakiti ne 8 jagah sur se hat gaye …. ( I am ignoring the smaller mistakes …. ) …. ”

    And for your knowledge ….

I did my masters in Hindustani classical music….(dont think too much …. till now I dont know anything abt classical muzic… and these all these chote ustaads are blessed….)

I did not vote for Prakiti bcoz she was not best at that day …. the best was Gitashree and Areeb was close enough.

I will definitely vote for prakiti on that when she will put the best performance ….and that shud be the way of supporting ppl I thing….

    Keep on listening good music…

DRAKBISWAS’S COMMENTS ON KUNAL GANJAWALA ARE RATHER HARSH AND NOT IN GOOD TASTE. KUNAL BELONGS TO PRESENT GENERATION OF SINGERS AND HAS COME UP BY PUTTING IN HARD WORK. KUNAL’S EVERGREEN “BEEGEY HONT TERE—”IN FILM MURDER IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST HITS. IT FETCHED HIM MANY AWARDS. KUNAL IS A REAL GENTLEMAN AND HIS COMMENTS ARE ALWAYS CONSTRUCTIVE AND TO THE POINT.
AS FAR AS ABHAAS IS CONCERNED HE IS MORE TALENTED THAN WHAT HE IS DOING IN THIS SHOW. HE MOSTLY SINGS RECENTLY COMPOSED SONGS. IN EARLIER PROGRAMME HIS RENDITION OF DOSTI NUMBER “MERA TO JO BHI KADAM HAI WOH TERI RAAH MAIN HAI–”WAS A MASTERPIECE. AS A CHILD ARTIST HE PERFORMED BRILLIANTLY IN GAJENDRA SINGH’S SAREGAMAPA SHOW. JUST GIVE HIM ANY OF THE FOLLOWING 5 SONGS OF MOHAMMED RAFI AND SEE HIS RANGE AND TALENT.
THE FOLLOWING SONGS HAVE NEVER BEEN INCLUDED IN ANY MUSIC REALITY SHOW .THESE ARE 5 GEMS OF LEGEND RAFI
1.JAANE BAHAR HUSN TERA BEMISAAL HAI–FILM:PYAAR KIYA TO DARNA KIYA
    2. TU MERE SAAMNE HAI ZULF HAIN KHULI KHULI–FILM:BAHURANI
    3.IS BARI DUNIYA MAIN—FILM:BHAROSA
4.KAHAN JA RAHA HAI TU AI JAANE WALE—FILM:SEEMA
5.MAIN NIGHAHEN TERE CHEHRE SE HATAAOON KAISE—FILM:AAP KI PARCHHAIYAN. THIS MADAN MOHAN CLASSIC HAS BEEN SUNG IN SAREGAMAPA ON 2/3 OCCASIONS BUT DESERVED TO BE HEARD FOR FEW MORE TIMES.

JUST WATCHED THE ORIGINAL QAWAALI”TERI MEHFIL MEIN KISMAT AZMAAKER HUM BHI DEKHENGE” VIDEO ON smasHits.com.
AISHWARYA AND ANVESHA AT THE AGE OF 14/13 PERFORMED BETTER THAN SAMSHAD BEGUM AND LATA MANGESHKAR WHO WERE THE ORIGINAL SINGERS IN QAWAALI. THE VOI OF INDIA ORCHESTRA PERFORMED AS GOOD AS THE NAUSHAD’S 50 PIECE ORCHESTRA. I THINK ANAND SHARMA OF VOI TEAM WHO PROBABLY REHEARSED THE VOI SINGERS FOR THIS QAWAALI NUMBER DID MARVELLOUS JOB.TO COME CLOSE TO NAUSHAD’S CREATION IS SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY ACHIEVEMENT. THE JUDGES AND THE DIRECTOR GAJENDRA SINGH HAVE NOT REALISED THE REAL IMPORTANCE OF THIS QAWAALI IN VOI SHOW AS ALL OF THEM BELONG TO PRESENT GENERATION AND PROBABLY HAVE NOT HEARD THE ORIGINAL QAWAALI OF THE GREAT MAESTRO NAUSHAD. I ONCE AGAIN REQUEST THE JUDGES AND THE ACE DIRECTOR GAJENDRA SINGH TO INCLUDE THE ORIGINAL QAWAALI AND VOI QAWAALI IN ONE OF THE EPISODES AND ALLOW VIEWERS TO SEE THE MAGIC CREATED BY GAJENDRA’S TEAM! IT IS SIMPLY AWESOME.GAJENDRA JUST WATCH .YOU HAVE MISSED THIS MAGIC WHICH IS YOUR OWN CREATION.

I always enjoy the comments of the viewers, specially Mr.devkishin .i would request to write in lower case, please.
please be kind to these kids they are all good singers but some are more talented than others. you should judge them for their talents not for state, color, religion or gender.biased opinion is very demoralising. They are world standard as i watch in USA or even better. My selection is:
    1.Anwesha + aiswarya
    2.prakriti/sonya
    rest all have potential.

Truly speaking my field of interest in indian music are:
    1.Rabindra sangeet and Nazrul sangeet
    2.Ghazal
    3.Indian classical
Rest hindi /filmi Music(we don’t have Hindi films in USA) i don’t listen; so i am not a real Hindi-film Musical connisseur
but for contest like these i see only filmi songs; so i don’t understand the scale of performance. In USA, musical competition takes place in categories eg. pop, classical, jaaz, folks etc. not mixed. each category is well defined.
i would request the category system in India because some Music genre performs well in certain type of voice.

Anwesha is a classically trained singer (She has been trained by Jayanta Sarkar, who is known for training Aneek, the other reality-show champion). She came runner up in the Zee Bangla Saregamapa little champs show a few years ago. In that show the judges were in control of eliminations and so on, they thought Anwesha was too much of a classical singer to become the winner, and they were looking for a pop star, so someone else won instead. In Saregamapa, she sang mostly classical songs such as “kuhu kuhu bole koyalia,” and she sung them with ease. Anwesha has also already recorded a Bengali song on an album (sung brilliantly by the way), you can listen to it on hummaa.com, just type Anwesha in the search engine. The song is called Mohiyoshi.

This is the direct link to the Bengali Anwesha song. It is a relatively simple, yet beautiful song. Her voice is so melodious, it is perfect for a song like this and she she puts so much emotion into every word. I’m just amazed that she was only about 12 when she recorded this. I mean her inflections, the throw of her voice… just beautiful. In SVOI, the producers keep giving her difficult songs to sing (because they know only she can sing them properly and do them justice), but give her a melodious, surila, song like this and it’s pure magic. You’ll probably go into a trance…

Anwesha your grace should be more humble: how to express and acknowledge in public platform::1.Don’t read your own headlines (let others do it for you )as you did” hum playback singer bangaye” !Abhaas is lacking that; he mused when he was adulated by DIYA MIRZA as “i am experienced”- was a stupid gesture!so he advised you to become a stupid!!His cultural /social upbringing is different from Bengal.
    2. say in humility” sukhria, ashirbad or sobhan allha “any reflection towards God or parents.
    3. Extend the courtesy to people who bestowed upon you sincerely.
You are a Bengali Girl; we have more expectation from you than ordinary. i see your potential but long way to go! God bless!
N.B.whole USA BENGALI ASSOCIATION IS WATCHING YOU.ASK SHREYA GHOSAL SHE CAME FEW TIMES TO USA ON INVITATION.

She didn’t want to say that, but the judges, the host and Gajendrra Singh pressed her to say it. Past weeks have shown just how incredibly humble Anwesha is, so don’t judge her on something that she was asked to say by the very tempramental Gajendrra Singh.

LIVE INDIA news channel is showing behind the scenes coverage of Chotte Ustaad Kids these days. The other day they were showing the interview of Anvesha and Aishwarya. It is expected by all that these two girls will reach the finals as they r much above others in matter of singing.
If both these girls make it to the finals, it would be a tough contest as both are equally good.

I AGREE WITH DRAKBISWAS THAT AISHWARYA AND ANVESHA ARE BOTH CLASS PERFORMERS AND TO HONOUR ONE OF THEM WOULD BE CONSIDERED DOING GREAT INJUSTICE TO ANOTHER.
THE JUDGES AND GAJENDRA SINGH SHOULD KEEP THIS IN MIND WHILE DECIDING THE WINNER IN FINALS.A ‘JOINT WINNERS’ IS NOT AN UNCOMMON PRACTICE IN COMPETITIVE SHOWS.THE SPIRIT OF FAIRPLAY AND JUSTICE DEMANDS THAT NO DRAWBACKS SHOULD BE DETECTED BETWEEN THE TWO PERFORMERS WHEN THERE ARE NONE.LET US NOT DIG OUT SOMETHING WHICH IS NON-EXISTING. BOTH THE YOUNG GIRLS ARE ON THRESHOLD OF VERY SUCCESSFUL CAREER IN PLAYBACK SINGING. WISH THEM GOOD LUCK .DO NOT BREAK THEIR HEART OR DEMORALISE THEM IN ANY MANNER.

We really ought to invite Anwesha to Banga Sammelan–Toronto this year. (Shreya wasn’t as much of hit because she wasn’t very familiar with the Bengali language in general…)

But to SVOI, I enjoy Anwesha’s voice, but I feel that Soniya had the stronger performance– very much like that HR sound. After watching SRGMP Little Champs, I must admit that the talent on Chote Ustaad outshines Lil Champs, where many good singers were voted out early, ah well.

I would say eliminate Anvesha and Aishwarya…take them out of the competition and give them playback chances. Let the others battle it out here. These two are a class apart. No comparison with others and it would be injustice to give one of them SVOI Chote Ustaad…..Vyom is good and Prakirti is sweet too bt their voices are still maturing. Soniya has lots of energy and she will improve with time.

1.DIL APNA AUR PREET PARAYEE— TITLE SONG OF SAME FILM . THIS SONG HAS BEEN BRILLIANTLY COMPOSED BY SHANKAR-JAIKISHAN AND SUPERBLY RENDERED BY LATA MANGESHKAR .IT SOUNDS SIMPLE BUT IT IS ONE OF THE MOST MELODIUS SONGS.
    2. MILO NA TUM TO DIL GABRAYE MILO TO AANKH CHURAYE–FROM FILM HEER RANJA .THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST CREATIONS OF MADAN MOHAN AND LATA MANGESHKAR COMBINE.
3.DO JOOTH JIYE IK SACH KE LIYE– FROM FILM DO JOOTH A GREAT COMPOSITION BY AGAIN SHANKAR-JAIKISHAN WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN HEARD IN ANY MUSIC REALITY SHOW.

Anwesha, you are simply awesome.I don’t know why people are not voting for you. You are one of the best singers to have come along in recent years.”Ami Je tomar”(mere dholna”) was one of your best performances. But you’ve shown your versatility by singing all kinds of songs! You’re in a class by yourself. Anamika from Saregamapa doesn’t even come close to you.I would like to make a request to all the music lovers in the world to vote for Anwesha not because she is from bengal but because she is the future of indian music industry and an awesome and mindblowing singer. She really has a god gifted talent.Let’s pray (and vote!). With God’s grace and our voting we can acheive it!

    Hii bonie …

these kids are not geing vote according to their talent … they have now become the child labour for Gajji…. on the basis of their state and religion VOI is getting vote. This is unfortunate…

u r right the best performance of VOi till so far ( I am considering the main VOi as well ) is ” ami je tomar” according to me … apart from the other technical thing one thing I must mention here

    The music director was thr…
    The singer was thr…
    The actor was thr…

at least these three ppl did listen that songs many times before and when Anwesha sang, they always tried to compare that with the original….which is very obvious..

and getting good comments from all threee of them is definitely proves everything….

    keep on listening good muzic

ILLUSTRIOUS CLASSICAL SINGER AJAY CHAKROBARTY’S THUMRI IN FILM GADDAR IS WORTH WATCHING. YOU CAN WATCH THE VIDEO ON SmasHits.com .

  50. By Muhammad Zubair on Mar 1, 2008 | Reply

I just heard Anwesha’s song Mohiyoshi on hummaa.com. I do not know a single word of Bengali and, therefore, could understand it. However, the song was so melodious that I was totally engrossed in it without realizing that I was in office and was being watched by others as well.

In my opinion she is far much superior than any other contestant of Chhote Ustaad and it is unfair that other children are competing with her. She should have taken part in the program earlier telecaste wherein Abhaas, Toshi, Irfan etc had participated. I believe that she would have won there also. I am sure that evenat this teen age, she can very well sing for the top Bollywood heroins.

Finally, I wish that may Anwesha win the title of “Chhote Ustaad”. I would be highly disappointed if she is not selected for this prestigious title.
