no offense but its a disrespect towards Aiswariya to say that she didn’t deserve to win..it’s also a disgrace to what singing is.

HOWEVER- even with that said, I wanted Anwesha to sing, and I do think that in my own humble opinion, Anwesha was slightly better than Aighwariya and yes I did get emotional when her name wasn’t announced, however I understand that the difference between her and Aishwariya was veryyyyy small.

It was clear from the beginning that the public was moslty supportive of Aishwariya…she was always in Fairy Land but Anwesha would get scary land many times.

But, the judges kind of showed who they liked best when they invented the “sartag sarwottam” for Anwesha. It’s clear to me, whether they say it or not that all 3 of the judges are blown away by Anwesha, especially Shreya…cuz’ Anwesha sung many SHreya songs with complete perfect.

India is the land of TANSEN…Amir Khusrau, and countless other legendary musicians…In the world of Music, India’s classical music reigns supreme…It is very curious that the dozen such singing shows showcase young musicians whose aspirations are to be playback singers…How unfortunate that with progression your people and country has nearly lost the tradition that makes Indian music a world force…Not once in the last 30+ shows have these girls’ abilities been put to the test as far as music is rally concerned…Singing ‘disco beats’ and ‘pop songs’ and ‘bhangra songs’ hardly qualifies anyone as an USTAD…these girls are both talented with a wonderful sense of pitch and rhythm…but they have to grow as musicians….the singers of yesteryear such as Manna Dey, Lata Mangershkar, Asha Bhonsle haad strong backgrounds in classical music…

Amul Starvoice and other programs such as SA RE GA MA PA are doing a wonderful job in finding talent…But lets call it what it is…which is nothing but a quest for ratings…I hope both the winner and runner up put their efforts forward to learn as much as they can about music and find solid Ustads who can train them further…and I hope they find a yearning to go BEYOND their Dream of becoming a “playback singer”, maybe instead they can dream of becoming a great “SINGER” … good luck to you guys….just my two cents…

Another shock to the music lovers!!!!!!!! Earlier, many of us guessed before final that Anwesha, the most deserved candidate is not going to win the title. The assumption has become true now. I like both Aiswarya and Anwesha,both are talented and both have great future. But I like music not people madness and feel Anwesha has proved enough talents than Aiswarya to win the title. This type of reality shows are copied from USA, UK reality shows where we generally do not see any regional biasness on voting as people on these countries always think about country specific not in regional specific during voting. The Amhedabad episode has shown enough about regional biasness, as not a single person supported Anwesha even after her mind-blowing performances. Even the judge, Kunal looked embarrassed when nobody supported Anwesha even her spectacular performance with a song with local language. Amul, the main sponsor of this show is from the state and the business people from the state did enough support to make their girl to win the title.

Wish all the best to Aishwarya. I really love your voice, but still you have to improve many things in the music. Since you are now “Chotte Ustad”, you have the responsibility to respect this title in future. I hope you will be coming as another female singer with great voice in Bollywood.

Anwesha, don’t feel bad or disheartened. Even you didn’t win the title you have touched billions people hearts in the world with your ability, perfection and quality. You are real Chotte Ustad of all those people. Within first few episodes you already became inspirations to young children and got a celebrity status, you don’t have to prove anything. I am 100% sure that you are coming as a great playback singer in Indian film industry. Gujrat didn’t vote you only because they wanted Aisharya , their girl to win, but Gujrat knew very well about your class and quality and I am sure that they are going to love you more than Aisharwya in future.

Star TV should do some post analysis of the entire program. You can find many defects in the entire process. Why people didn’t give enogh vote ? Why most deserved candidate didn’t get the title? Why Bengal didn’t vote enough for Anwesha? I think Bengalis knew Anwesha’s talent very well before the svoi program as her talent was earlier known to Bengalis throgh Zee TV. I think this time Bengalis did protest against the voting system.

My sugession, since you can not eliminate regional biasness, the voting should not be used to decide the winner, instead the judges along with special jury members should be allowed to decide the winners. Voting can be used to collect point against the candidate and some percentage of voting money should be given to the candidate. In this case someone can get huge vote from his native region, he/she can get more money from vote, but at the end most deserved candidate will win. At the end music will win.

And my comments/Suggestions for Anwesha. This is not the end of the road! Do not get get emotional. This is just begining of a fantastic journey that awaits you …. What you need is humility (that you already have) and I have seen how during the Gujrat episode when the public did not cheer for you and were chanting Aishwarya’s name you echoed with them too! what a kind gesture kiddo! You have it … so do not loose it .. this will take you new heights.. Yes most important you have to complete your studies and keep you fantbulous singing go ahead.. do not neglect practice by any means! I am your TRUE fan and not a fanatic. I want to see you as a legend in the coming times so do not let my hope go down! Good luck you will do it.

What can i say ? I have never felt so bad in my life over a reality show or TV show Or may be even otherwise. My heart is churning … and eyes have swelled up.

I am absolutely devastated to see Anwesha lose the crown which she deserved to the core.

I feel bad because once again talent has been crushed. It hasnt been given justice to prove itself.
How else can you describe the song selections in the last two episodes ?

No matter what people say ……… there was no comparison between the singing talent of Anwesha and Aishwarya …… Anwesha was supreme……
What am i saying……. Anwesha ‘is’ supreme !!!!

But I guess since God has given the talent…. HE will also give her the strength to fight against all odds and will give her all the success that she richly deserves !!!

Two points:

1) I suggest you do one thing – come back a couple days from now and re-read your comments. At a whole they are quite horrible and absolutely rude!

You seen to have blamed everyone involved including the contestants for misdemeanor et al. Come back with a fresh mind and see that ALL of you are doing absolutely the same thing.

Both contestants were excellent and did their best day in and day out so please refraining in putting one contestant down at the cost of the other.

2) For future reference do remember, that these girls, albeit young, live in ‘today’s’ unfair world, which is made by you and me! And it’s better that they learn how to deal with it rather than wait until they hit their prime and get disappointed later. I think it has been a learning experience for both girls.

Also don’t forget these girls are going into bollywood, not exactly the most favorable of fair environment.

I know exactly how you feel because I feel the same way.Its so unfair! Although I knew Anwesha will loose in spite of being a far far superior singer.But there was a hope against hope that a miracle will happen.It’s heartbreaking to see such a talent getting crushed by regionalism,politics and money power. My heart goes out to Anwesha who knew she doesn’t stand a chance agaihst corruption but still performed brilliantly and kept her cool. I wish best of luck to the future legend of India , ANWESHA!

Most of the songs seemed like they were pre recorded.So most of the renditions were o.k.. Most awesome performance of the night was Anwesha’s rendition of ‘Mere Dholna’- simply mindblowing. This one unbelievably was even better than her previous rendition. Aish was again given more soulful numbers like Mashalla from Sawaariya – sang very soulfully but again lost sur in couple of places. Same with ‘pyaar ki ek kahani suno’ – lost sur a few times. Anu’s ‘Crazy kiya re’ was superb much more powerful than Aish’s previous rendition. Aish’s ‘Barso re megha’ was good but ‘Signal’ very annoying and out of tune. Anu looked very free on stage and danced quite well.

One more point – It seemed like Aish sang all high pitch portions in falsetto. She does not Anu’s range for sure. It’s all over ,so I guess no point talking about it anymore.

Where r the videos?

Unbelievably there was no mention about who got how many votes! No mention about which region voted for which candidate. In SAregamapa they always mentioned which kid got exactly how many votes – but nothing here.
I don’t know how Gajji gets away with it!

gajendra has no sense of morals/ethics. he and aishwarya’s family are made for each other. the point is very few people except gujartis like ash. she is a regional singer and that too will not succeeed because dishonesty neevr pays.

Feel bad why bad songs were selected on the ahmd. show -so that in the last remaining time – when undecided voters will go and vote – due to bad song selection for Anwesha they would vote for Ash. Also the final was not even necessay if everything was going to be dependent on the public voting which was officially closed at 2 pm – but Anwesha’s dholna was amazing – it is very difficult to sing all the sa ni dha pa part of the song.

It was just crap. Gjandra Singh is a big time manipualter and thank god star plus ha thrown him out.

People I read this on another forum and i think it covers many improtant points

1) overhyping ash from the start (as if other contestants were just fillers/extras required for sacrificing every week).

2) presenting ash’s talent to be greater than it is (she getting adulation for strictly average or even pheeka performances).

3) ash NEVER landing in scaryland even once (like someone said, it’s a mathematical impossibility. unless of course, gajji has invented a higher form of maths!)

4) biased song selection (ALL golden lataji classics for ash and none for anwesha! if in spite of the horrid songs she got she created magic with her singing, can anyone imagine what she might have done if she got to sing ‘kuhu kuhu’ or ‘naino mein badra’ on the show?)

5) changing the rules as per gajji’s sweet wish (public voting, then 50:50, then public voting as soon as the highest vote gainer prakriti was thrown out mercilessly, then the whole ballot box naatak!)

6) server crashing at the most crucial point (gajji’s lost whatever little creativity he had! this is such a pathetic and shoddy excuse! gajji, agar jhol karna hi hai to atleast do it smartly na, itna patheitc attempts to mat karo ki sabko saaf dikhayi de ki jhol kar rahe ho! the so called biggest musical talent contest in the world and online voting site crashed! wo bhi at the last moment! that too only certain regions!! wow….)

7) no accountability (can gajji announce the exact voting results please? it’s a matter of saving your face gajji!)

What is the use of these reality shows, if real talent doesn’t come out? Last time, Ishmeet, who’s a very poor singer, won the competition compared to other geniouses like Toshi, Avaas, Harshit or Irfaan.

VOI , the crew including judges, Gajji especially sucks. They are changing the definition of reality shows by manipulating everything. eventhough, they have the F******* plans to win undeserved aishwarya, i had a hope that anwesha is going to win. Gajji really sucks yaar. From the past 3 weeks, the songs chosen were disgraceful. Gajji should be sacked.

I am a Gujarati but I am a diehard fan of Anweshaa. Ahmedabad crowd was extremely partisan. Do you know that Gujarat Samachar which is a daily news paper of repute came out openly with an article saying Aishwarya must be made to win. Not even a single word about who was opposing her in contest.
The crowd sans Anweshaa’s supporters were so much partisan that I felt sad for music .

Calcutta crowd OTOH was so polite and welcoming to aishwarya that I myself was surprised.

My two cents. I think Star TV – Gajji had a mandate to make Aish win from Amul, the sponsors, because both are from Gujrat. Star TV must have a very large slice of the Amul Advertisement account.I got specially disappointed when B M Vyas was on stage to give medal to Aish. He never even looked at Anu despite standing next to her.Disgusting!

Congrats to both, both did excellent job, I know it’s a heartbreaking news for Anu’s fans, but hey this is just a start and it’s good for her to learn the taste of struggle. As I said earlier sooner or later she’s going to dominate the bolly, tolly and all woods of india.

we left for the venue at 4.45pm and we reached goregaon sports complex at5pm. there were about 3 to 5 thousand people trying to gate crash .the entry was allowed at 6 pm and within 5 minutes we were in our seats .
at 7.45 pm we were at home before our tv sets.
there were separate enterances for general and vip pass holders . the only difference was that so-called vips were provided chairs and the general pass holders were made to stand at the end holding placards and cheering wildly at almost everything.
shaan and the two finalists were seen reahersing for a song which later in the programme was included

no sooner did the show start exactly at 7pm than the all general pass holders were ostensibly allowed to enter the vip enclosure as there were many vacant seats . this resulted in chaos and almost everyone in vip enclosure had to stand to watch the show.
enough was enough and most of the vips just started trooping towards the exit and atleast 5000 pass holders left their general/vip/vvip seats and left for home to watch the flop finale in homely comfort.

Congratulation to Aiswarya and I am sorry for Anwesha the competition was designed to choose only one contestant as a winner therefore only one have been chosen already from the beginning of the show from the judges point of view making all the viewer ‘’Ullu’’ honestly there wasn’t equal comments amongst the contestants. But both of you are winners and God gifted potential singers and now yours big challenge have been started NO MORE CHOTE USTAD YOU BOTH ARE BADE USTAD NOW.

I think most viewers are not impressed with judge’s comments specially Shreya and Kunal because of their immaturity as a judge but we all know both are popular and grate artist.

Finally many thanks to SVOI very good programme and entertained us a lot specially kids like Abeer who is only 8 years old with grate talent and many thanks to all parents being a responsible person of these young unlimited talented kids and hope to see more next year.

abhaas and half-clad girls sang and danced before the motley audience with the welcome song.i do not know whether the audience heard the song or feasted on figures of dancing girls.
shaan’s entry was an afterthought as he was fully unprepred and had to be repeatedly prompted by young abhaas. instead of assisting abhaas who was capable enough to host the show independently shaan appeared to be a liability and abhaas became quite nervous and started fumbling. in short both of them messed up everything.the prompter either left the show or had dozed of after a heavy bout of—.
all of sudden the track started playing raat baki—and everyone tried to figure out wherefrom that voice was coming .in such situations the lights are generally switched off and spot light is focussed on the performer .after looking here and there one could see aishwarya on dome standing alone without any spotlight blaring raat baaki –a pre-recorded song . we could see anwesha accompanying aishwarya in this song only when we watched the show on our tv. this song ended and the dancers again made their entry.
at this point at about 7.30 pm we left the complex and headed for our home . we saw hundreds of invitees outside who were equally frustrated and left for home.

The true fact is that All the losers now a days are extremely talented these days in reality shows since the results are being altered by the damn foolish organizers like his excelency in idiotic ideas, Mr.Gajji. and because of this reason, all the losers are getting good opportunities these days.

the entire programme was quite a mess. the script-writer was probably hired from bheendi bazaar or mahim creek. he must have pocketed a handome amount by handing over a script written by his school going kid.
most of the songs had been recorded earlier in studio and the vips were made to sit at the distace of more than 20 feet from the stage. for what? probably to mislead them about pre-recorded tracks.only about 5/6 songs were rendered live on recorded tracks.
quite strangely some of the songs which were sung by the paticipants in earlier episodes were stupidly(a mild expression)repeated in this grand(orthe worst) finale.
the two music directors-anand sharma and annuj kappu appeared to have left the show for better opportunities after desertion of ashwini singh the 10-year assistant of gajendra, who wisely preferred to persue her mba (reportedly)rather than stick to gajendra who has totally lost his direction. saregamapa/voice of india have been orphaned and the ace director stands exposed as his knowledge about music appears to be a big zero without his music directors and assistants.

aishwarya trimphed and walked away with the crown,but at what cost?by trampling over equally talented artist-anwesha through voting system which generally throws up surprises. no doubt aishwarya as a singer is quite deserving in her own right but anwesha had her own strong points, particularly in field of expression and classical-based singing.
preetam’s repeated pronouncements about honouring both the girls proved to be a cry in wilderness.he was a responsible judge along with shreya and kunal without whose tactical voting some other contestans could figured in final.
the real strength and level of competence were never tested fully in the show. not a single song of legends who composed melodies which will be heard and loved by generations after generations, figured in the finale! what a bankrupcy of planning and execution!they collected all the noisy, good for nothing songs of present day composers who themselves may not remember their own worthless compositions.

i was wondering whether we were watching a duel between two young finalists in singing competition or a filmfare award function!
both the teen agers were lifted by grown up males in dance performances like kareena kapoor ,malaika arora ,mallika shekhawat and other much -touched actresses which almost tantamounted to obscenity ,vulgarity and molestation in public place!and many fools among the audience were seen applauding such acts. where have the morals disappeared? mr majmudar i would have NEVER allowed my daughter to perform in such musical competitions in this manner whatever the stakes.young girls from respectable families should keep away from such vulgar performances .we are corrupting young impressionable minds.
and what about make-up of young performers ?particularly anwesha looked like a painted doll. her natural charm and beauty was competely destroyed and she looked terrible in that wavy flossy hair style .she looks much much better in simple make-up.

while interviewing aishwarya and anwesha after the results on star news channel the reporter said that aishwarya polled more than 13 lacs votes 2 lacs more than anwesha.

You’re right. Aishwarya had over 2 lack votes more than Anwesha, and that’s the reason why the number of votes was not revealed i.e. to respect both the contestants, especially Anwesha.

Friends, we all know Anvesha is the best. Its as simple as that. from the moment she sang ‘hum dil de chuke sanam’ she was a revalation. Here was a talent pure, pristine and untouched and yet the very fact that she had come to a commercial show meant that she felt the need to reach out and touch other people’s lives through her music. So Anvesha’s singing in chote ustad was not just a means of acquiring an end- becoming a playback singer– but also to reach out to both the masses and classes, to entertain others whilst retaining the purity of an art perfected by years of classical training.

It was not an easy battle nor an easy balance to strike. Naysayers, detracters, jealousies, rivalries and corruption were all going to be part of the process in becoming a chote ustad. yet the 13-going -on 14 little girl was to take it all in her stride. She was going to prove her mettle and her talent, come what may. So for every ‘iss mod pe jaate hain’ there had to be a ‘maiyya maiyya’, for every offbeat ‘mausam ki adla badli’ there had to be a crowd-pleasing ‘Khallas’. For every beautifully rendered classical song she had to prove that she had that elusive ‘X-factor’ that is an important part of being a performer. So be it her impeccable ‘Aaami je tomar’ where she startled all with her elegant variations(the best perf. of the show), the classy ‘baaga maroni’ , the startlingly subtle ‘main vari vari’ and the straight from the heart ‘Pal do pal ka safar’ Anvesha succeeded beyond doubt in showing she was in a league of her own. There can be no dearth of superlatives for her.

Each performance was perfected beyond imagination. Every nuance was taken care of. Every little voice modulation had its legitimacy. This was no ordinary talent. Here was a child prodigy capable of enermous depth, capable of improvisation and innovation whilst retaining the original feel of the song. Sut, taal and lay? Anvesha had surpassed such elemenary cocenpts. She was in a stage where she could take music to new heights.She was beyond comp.

what I missed in CHHOTE USTAD:
1. Live orchestra including full string orchestra with violins and sitars.
2. Lata-Madan Mohan numbers. i would have loved to hear aishwarya begining from antara in live runninig orchestra “oh bhole saathiya dekhi jo shokhi tere pyarki—” and anwesha repeating the same antara in her voice. I’m sorry, all this is too funny.
I think you guys are jumping to conclusions a little too quickly. Yes, Abhas may have looked somewhat disspointed when Anwesha didn’t win, but this is only because he has stated in an interview before that he thinks Anwesha is the best talent on the show and that she deserved to win. No doubt, after four months he became good friends with all the kids, including both Aish and Anu. But that’s probably the extent of it. I highly doubt, he would develop romantic feelings for a 14 year old girl. And Anwesha is not like that, she is serious and focused and may have crushes on some guys, but probably won’t do anything about it just yet. I felt Vyom, however, may have had some feelings for Anwesha. He has said repeatedly in many interviews that he feels she is most superior singer in the show and just generally seems quite fond of her, but once again I really don’t know how he feels and can’t believe I typed this up in the first place…

Looks like some people have started making this site a Page 3 site. We keep reading about all this about Anwesha – Abhas. Abhas himself a great singer was disappointed with the result and reacted like any other normal man. Many people are disappointed with the result, that does not mean that they are in love with Anwesha. This has been a great blog for all of us to discuss music. We at times have disagreed with each other, kept of writing one message after another to prove our point, but that was fun.Somebody may be an Aishwaraya supporter and can very well express your happiness on her victory, but do not make it a Page 3 blog.

1) Anwesha should have won. That rendition of Ami Je Tomar/Mere Dholna was fantastic! I keep listening to it over and over! And if you listen to the version she sang earlier on the show, you can see how much she has improved! Earlier, she seemed to have some breath issues. (Didn’t take enough air to sing the lines in the end.) Now? Fantastic, absolutely amazing. Loved it.

2) Live playback. With Aishwarya, it felt like the dancing (crude dancing, might I add. it’s a kids singing show, for goodness sake!) overpowered her voice. With Anwesha, I feel like it jived a bit better– there was more balance.

3) So glad Sonya received the judge’s favourite award. She was my favourite. Love her soulful singing. Just astounding. Glad to see Jayant on the show too!! He is taking lessons from Ghulam Ali, isn’t that correct? I may have understood that episode incorrectly.. And Prakriti has that nice, sweet pop flavor. (She really would be a good singer for an actress like Katrina Kaif in the future.) Finally, Vyom — he does seem taller! I enjoy his voice and found it quite amusing to see him dancing with the girl in the Amitabh Bacchan intro. XD

4) Did anyone else notice Juhi Chawla covering her ears a lot? I am like her — some of this concerts are SO very loud.

5) I think it is ridiculous that some viewers are suddenly matching up contestants–hosts. Anwesha is fourteen; a mere girl. Pairing her up with an 18-year-old? In at least the United States, that relationship is pretty illegal. Right now, when she is so young… what a disgusting thought!

6) Ismail Darbar was in the audience! That brings me to Saregamapa. I wouldn’t say that show is any better. Though Anamika (lil champs) and Aneek (regular show) are both talented singers, so many equally marvelous and perhaps better singers (Vasundhara Raturi, Rohit Shyam Rao, Mussarat Abbas, Amanat Ali, Poonam Yadav, etc) were thrown from the show. The judges on the adult show were generally very biased.. I think SVOI did a pretty good job, though the show itself is still flawed in many ways.

Can’t wait another singing show to go underway….
Does anyone know what is coming up for either SVOI or SRGMP?

And why is everyone saying Aishwarya is a “crass” and “rude” girl who is going to be a “criminal” with “no upbringing”? That is complete rubbish. Like everyone else, I am extremely upset with the results. Right from the beginning it seemed as if Aishwarya’s talent was represented in a way that made it seem MORE than it was. i remember Alka yagnik giving her a necklace for a performance which was extremely average- “Jo bhi chahe kahiye”. Aishwarya often slips into falsetto and though her voice is rounded, she often misses sur in the lower notes. The only good thing about her is that her expressions are good. Voice modulations, technicality and sur/tal- slightly above average.

Whereas Anwesha- MIND-BLOWING! SHE IS THE BEST SINGER I HAVE SEEN ON ANY REALITY SHOW. I am not exaggerating. I have yet to discover any flaws in her. i have NEVER seen her missing sur. her voice quality and control is awesome. her best performances are all her perfromances, the only dissapointing one I remeber is ‘khallas’.I want to see this bundle of talent emerging as the future nightingale of india.

I suppose regionalism, politics and god knows what else resulted in anwesha’s defaet. Don’t loose heart little girl. you have touched so many people’s hearts with your singing, and my 5 yr old daughter considers you her idol. For many you are the REAL chote ustad.

I agree, action can be taken. I think especially my sisters and brothers who live in kKolkata will be suitable for this. You people should approach the media, the regional press, maybe even your govt. or some independant body like the judiciary to solve this problem. Becuase we as voters need to know where our money is going. Results were not at all transparent in this shwo. If enough people in Kolkata protest, action CAN be taken.

Also I feel Bengalis hould be a little more pro-active. you people have so much talent, so much energy and so much creative potential yet don’t ever let anyone take advantage of these things. i have noticed these in my Bengali friends. there is a need to break out of complaceny. be more aggresive. Mobilize public opinion.

Bengalis feel that talent is the only thing. it SHOULD be in an IDEAL world. But its important to be active. to be clever also and remember the rest of India should learn from your good qualities, yet you Bengalis need to learn how to be more demanding. Otherwise you will not be able to support your beautiful children Anwesha, geetashri etc. There will be more Bengali young girls and boys coming in future, no doubt better than their counterparts. to make sure they get justice, it is imp. to take steps NOW.

I have read some men here reacting very conservatively to suggestions of a romance between Anwesha and Abhas. though I myself hadn’t noticed this & It may or may not be true. But what irked me is the extremely patriarchal responses and the arguements given by the men to say this SHOULD not be.
1. by saying this was influence of Western culture– since when pray does falling in love become a Western phemonomenon? please grow up. And in case you hadn’t noticed, our ancient temples and literature abounds with sexual plurality,sexual imagery etc. Please don’t live in the Victorian era becuase that was the era of sexual inhibitions which a few Indian men still want to propogate. Not only this, modern india’s children are growing up with sex education and there is no restrictions of the kind you imagine. Today we all know what happened to a 15 yr old girl( Scarleet) in Goa, plus the SMS case of two 16 yr olds a few years back in New DElhi.

2. By mentioning age– Who are these men to determine which is the right ‘age’ to fall in love? Please stop living in a byegone century. By imposing restrictions you want to propogate a culture of patriarchy where ‘good’ indian girls are supposed to be meek and not think of the opposite gender. Later they can get into arranged marriages. I’m sorry men but you are living in another era. Today’s young boys and girls are extremely aware of sexuality. they are living in an age of media influxes and you cannot wish it away.

3. by talking about morality – what morality pray are you talking about? Is it immoral to fall in love? thses are some of the thoughts of right-wing outfits like BJP and RSS. By containing morality within the sphere of activities to be regulated, men like vyas devkishin and vivace ae undermining the rights of individulas to make choices. Another patriarchal stance. With capitalism comes the impulse to contain the female species and monitor their behaviour to set up dual oppositions of ‘good’ and ‘bad. in truth there is no black or white gentlemen.

Whereas crimiality and corruption is rising, we still have people obsesssed with age-ld conceptions of morality, Puritana nd Victorian cnotions of sexuality as ’sinful’. Let these children be. they have a right to live and love

Aishwarya has won the title and I congratulate her.

However, for me the real Chhote Ustaad is Anwesha. I still believe that she has not lost by her performance, but solely because of rigging in the votes.

Even her performance on Saturday was awsome and the applause from the people is a glaring proof of her talent. She got more applause from the audience than Aishwarya.

I am also inclined to feel that the show was NOT LIVE. For example, many a times the guests who were sitting down with the public were shown on stage the next moment. How can they jump on the stage in a flash?

Similarly, songs were also not live. The contestants were just lipsynching. Vyom was shown singing on the stage, but the actual voice was that of Abhaas. Similarly, Jayant was shaking hands with the guests and he was seen completely dumb, but still we could hear the song.

Anyhow, the show is now over and I do not want to say anymore on the subject.

However, I still believe that Anwesha is going to be one of the biggest stars of Bollywood and I wish her great success in her aspiration to become a singer.

I think gajji si against bengalis. just see how prantik, geetashri and anwesha were treated in the senior and junior shows.Prantik was at least better than ishmeet,priyani and sumitra he was out at 11′th position. And geeta who was the second or third best was out at second last position.
And anwesha who is beyond all comp. came second. hats off to you gajji we benaglis will boycott all your shows from now on. then you won’t even get good talent and can keep crying in vain. revel in ur aishwarya/ishmeet.

Unfortunately this blog has been taken over by kids and teens. Looking at their intelligence level and way of thinking, I wonder how they will transform India from a third world developing country with millions of destitutes to a developed nation!!

Anyway, I request you and other seniors to do something about the young generation of today. I have travelled all over the world and I have seen the youth of most of the developing countries (specially China) very much committed, hardworking and passionate…Although media keeps on saying things like India Shining etc etc, I dont know what to expect from Indian youth in future.

It seems lots of people are disappointed with the result and they are expressing here ( I know this is the only place to express your frustration). But does it matter much ? Show must go on. Is it not?

I must repeat the comments of Anwesha and Aishwarys’ parents “ result does not have any significance at that point …” We should encourage Anwesha , because we all know that we have got a beautiful voice in Bollywood.

I am staying abroad and I did not have Star plus at my room. So I did not get a chance to see the prog. live. Later on when I saw “ Mere dolna” from Anwesha I thought I have got everything. I forget everything before that and I don’t want to know what happened after. I wish I could have chance to see Anwesha singing live infront of me “ Mere Dholna.” After seeing her performance I thought that this kind of Crown … voting …. Chote ustaad … bla bla bla ….do not make any impact.

I don’t know whether she will become a singer in future or not , whether she is the best or not …. But people will remember Anwesha forever for her “ Mere Dolna”.

We have 2 great singers Aishwarya and Anwesha.

Let’s consider 2 great singers of the past, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhonsle.

Lata was not versatile like Asha. Only soft romantic songs and sad songs suited Lata whereas Asha had much greater versatility and could sing many different genres. The only aspect in which Lata was better than Asha was in her great voice quality. This voice quality suited heroines for their love and sad songs much better than Asha.

Aishwarya is like Lata. She’s not as versatile as Anwesha but Aishwarya has a fantastic voice quality like Lata and is also expressive. This will suit heroines for love and sad songs much better than Anwesha.

Anwesha’s voice in fact resembles Asha Bhonsle almost perfectly. She is more versatile and can sing a wider variety of songs. But her voice definitely has a nasal twang which can be detected in many songs.

So who’s better, Aishwarya or Anwesha? Depends on whether you like Lata’s type of song or Asha’s type.

I feel that there’s magic and enchantment in Aishwarya’s singing while there’s precision and control in Anwesha’s singing which Is admirable.

Aishwarya is the future Lata Mangeshkar and Anwesha is the future Asha Bhonsle. There’s place for both in India and India needs both.

For me, who’s better? I prefer to be enchanted any day than to be lost in admiration. So Aishwarya is better than Anwesha.

So definitely the deserving contestant has won, for the first time.

anwesha is streets, avenues, national highways better than aishwarya. i cried seeing anwesha sing ami je tomar during the finals.

6. Just because a person got fewer votes does not mean the results are rigged. It is possible for the lesser talent to win ‘cos of innumerable factors. not discounting the possibility…but its not an empirical obvious

7. JUdges are only human and this is not a Math test or a spelling bee that right is right/wrong is wrong. This is a talent show and there are shades of preferences. There may be any number of reasons the judges may like one person over the other. Humans are biased…for whatever reason…aren’t we biased towards anwesha? don’t you think aishwaryas supporters will find us biased and unreasonable?

PIL should be immediately filed in Supreme court,or Bombay High court,

1) to make all reality show operators to make public COMPLETE VOTING DETAILS from Phone, SMS,and Internet before announcing the results.

2) All Television voting rates should be brought back to normal rates as in other countries.

3) A jury of common people should vote for each candidate after each performance. The jury should be selected by independant eminent people.
This should prove to be a checkmate for fraud by judges/Gajjis/channel owners.

4) Final three or four episodes for say musical contests must have only eminent singers or musicians as final deciding judges.
(if the voting is split between public and judges)

5) Only first names of the candidates must be used throughout the contest. No caste, language or state details to be made known to people.
Vote appeal to be made by the anchor only.

6) Coming to this contest, an injection to be applied for stopping Jaipur episode from airing if Anwesha is eliminated and does not reach finals.

7) Conduct of the organisers of the show which includes judges also to be scrutinised .

Effects of public humiliation by judges and their painful eliminations has a deep mental scar on the psyche of very young impressionable children.
What effect will this have on their minds? A psycho analyst’s report must be submitted to the judges (Supreme court) and either make fundamental changes
in the format of such reality show or ban drerogatory or reprimanding comments by the judges all together.

I am in favour of filing a PIL Immediately in Supreme court or Bombay high court to stop airing of the Jaipur and subsequent episodes.

Being a fan of good music I am very upset to see Anwesha in second place… but I would like to request all the bloggers who has been supporting Anwesha, to see her interview where She mentioned that ” winning or loosing really does not matter much”….

before you take any wrong step just think once that …if Star voi was not there then we wud not have got a singer like Anwesha ….. so whatever has taken place or has been taken place just take sportingly like Anwesha and her lovely cultured parents…

Supposedly Anwesha’s parents don’t even know the difference of votes btn Anu and Aish. Shaan mentioned something like Aish won just by 6, 7 or 8 votes. We are voting through SMS so we are spending lots of money on it. And when we are voting through internet we are spending huge amount of time and energy. So it should not be taken for granted and Gaj mahashay cannot play with our money, time and energy. All the reality shows should be transparent.

We must ask for an investigation as someone mentioned above, how come the server got crushed for a particular area? Is that true?

Why the voting system stopped all of a sudden? Why they did not declared the number of votes? Why they end up saying there was a little difference!

i feel noone but d voting system is culpable throughout..as we have seen dat shows like SaReGaMa n Meri Awaaz Suno have given us peerless singers like sunidhi chauhaan n shreya ghoshal who have proved demselves time n again..only bcos dere was no concept of public voting in dese shows..the choices were made by eminent n seasoned singer judges..n result is dat we cant take our ears off sunidhi’s or shreya’s voice…no doubt anvesha had a better sound quality,better scale,expression n she cud sing d most difficult songs with utmost ease..she was absolutely out of words n out of rankings..as in she was n is BEST..aishwarya too is a gud singer..she gave a rocking performance in salman khans episode by singing albela sajjan aayo ri.. she improved tremendously through her journey in chotte ustaad..bt anvesha had dis in her right from d beginning..she is an amazing singer n i knw dis loss will make her achieve heights better dan aishwarya…….she was far above aishwarya….she always gave a tough competition 2 aishwarya who was never in danger zone..n anvesha always fought back n came out as a winner though she continuously faced d scary land traumas….shes d real winner … yes i agree she had dis sportsmanship n she was never biased 2wards her own talent…..even her mom praised aishwarya like her own daughter..bt never did i listen d same from aishwarya’s mom ..bt its all bcoz anvesha never used to get enough votes right from d beginning..n slowly ppl started voting her bt by den aishwarya already had gr8 no. of fans n so d lag was already there which finally resulted in less no.of votes 4 anvesha in d grand finale….bt nyhow public has given it’s verdict..so congrats 2 aishwarya ..n all d best to anvesha..luv u loadssss anvesha..keep rocking..u gonna make it big one day 4 sure..lotsaaa wishes..

I’m not as upset that Anwesha didn’t win than I am for the mere fact that it’ll be a long time before I can listen to her angelic voice again. She entertained us till the very end. I’ll never forget her ‘Ami je tomar’ performance – it’ll resonate for years. I do feel sad for Anwesha though as she has always come in second place in every musical competition she has participated in. I don’t want her to go through life thinking she is second best. But I have faith in her, I know one day she’ll rise in the industry. As for the comments about who was more deserving, as a singer, unquestionably Anwesha was far superior. Her range, control, vocal expressions, voice-modulations, variations are at such a level that I’ve yet to see even some established female playback singers produce. She is an impeccable talent. To compare her with anyone is an insult to music. Everybody knows that she was well beyond this competition.

There was over a 2 lac difference between the votes for these two. Shaan and Abhas said that the difference might only about 4-5 votes, to show respect to Anwesha and give the impression that it was a close match, when in fact it was not. It’s pointless going to court with these statistics. Just let it be. It was just a competition. They will be many more to come. There will be new talents to obssess over. I’m sure everyone will forget about Anu and Aish in a matter of months and move on with their lives. Anwesha certainly has. She said in an interview that the first thing she is doing after the show finishes is riyaaz. She is not upset at the results so why should we be. She knows her potential, we all know her potential, so just give her a few years and then we’ll see where she stands. I’m sure she will be very successful in whatever she wishes to pursue.

Anwesha was the true deserving winner of this show. Gajji has played dirty politics to have his way. He is just a money minded director. His partial editing was going on for 6 weeks and he was capable of fooling thousands of ppl thro this show.

Well about votes: it’s just not possible that the total votes are only 18 lakhs while saregamapa lil champs got over 117 lakh votes!!!

I’m upset that Anwesha only got 5 lakh as a consolation prize. In SRGMP, Tanmay (the second runner-up) alone got more money than both the winner and runner-up combined from VOI:CU!!!. Why is VOI so cheap? Anwesha at least deserves equal amount of money that the winner received. Aish got a contract for 1 crore and a prize check of about 15 lakhs, plus a check of 1 lakh specially donated by Abhijeet! Abhijeet should have also given the check of 1 lakh to Anwesha as well for being a runner-up

Just a few of my thoughts here as well. I prob come off harsh and rudee…but i do not mean it like that i swear. Please do not be mad, i’m just pointing out a few things that i thought was wrong.(:
1.Voice Quality: “This is one aspect which no one can seriously doubt that Aishwarya scores over Anwesha.” 1. really? b/c i think anwesha deff scores over aishwarya. 2. Ur statement, like mine, does not make it a fact. It remains an opinion. 3. BUT i think both their voices are really sweet and perfect for playback singing.

And besides no matter how good of a voice u have, if ur besuri then it doesn’t even matter. 4. And if it really is all about voice quality, then its okay that ishmeet won, b/c ishmeet had an extremely sweet voice, sweeter than harshit (in fact, harshit was noted to copy kishore kumar or some singer a couple times). However, the better singer remains harshit and he’s the one thats getting most of the record deals and stuff.
2. Perfection: “I agree that Anwesha is technically more perfect. Aishwarya has to learn to control her sur a little better (in many songs she also was perfect). But ‘Practice makes perfect’ however no amount of practice can make a sweet sounding voice.” 1. soo… ur pretty much implying that anwesha doesn’t have a sweet sounding voicee. Woww…i’m sure there will be ppl who will disagreee. She has an amazingly sweet voicee. Just b/c she can make it versatile and sing songs like “mahi ve”, “beedi jalile”, “morni baga ma” etc, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have a sweet voice.

What about anweshaa!?!?! she was given horrible songsss tooo!!! at least aish was given soulful songss and stuff. Anwesha was given total crap. Singing “dupatta tera” as a last song before the finalee?? 2. lata’s golden eraa? Helloo? When that section was going on during the finale, aish sang all the good singer’s songs. Like lataji, kavita krishnamurthy, and shreya ghoshal. Which most ppl consider to be the greatest singers. 3. win by a bigger margin, we technically don’t kno how much votes each person has gotten. Yes there have been assumptions, but we’ll never kno for sure. 3. i’m sure anwesha would’ve won had she been given at least a few good songs. 4. its clear that u don’t like anwesha, so this blog is most deff will be biased, but u don’t have to indirectly demean her..

two things i would like to point out:
1. I don’t think people would be so involved w/ chhotee ustaad had it not been for anwesha’s amazing talent. we all got so involved when watching anwesha perform numerous times soo amazingly. gajji should take this into account: the fact that one reason his show was popular was b/c of anwesha (no doubt about that). thus gajji needs to repay her back!

My request, all people who are still giving support for Aiswaray’s win should close their eyes for a moment and just listen the song ‘Ami je tomar’, Anwesha has performed in the finale, after that you all will apolozise for not supporting her. All special guests including Amitabh, Juhi, Satish Shah and audience were stunt about her performance. In music, The persons are called Ustad when they are really highly educated in the relevant area and perform excellently to give proper value to the arts of music. The purpose of the ‘Chotte Ustad’ was not to find out the best play back singer. At the end Anwesha was not declared winner, that was a biggest humiliation to all music society ,institutions, legends,artists and real music lovers. Aiswarya might be more suitable for mild playback songs for her voice, but she is definitely not ‘Ustad’.

Claims about Anwesha’s voice being inferior to Aishwarya’s is ludicrous. Her voice is sweet as can be. I agree that Aishwarya’s voice is more rounded and fuller, while Anwesha’s is slightly thinner and sharper, but their voices haven’t even properly matured yet. We’ll know what they’ll really sound like in a matter of a few years. People compare Anu’s voice to Shreya, because of its sweetness. And quite frankly after listening to various renditions by both girls, I actually think Anwesha’s voice is more pleasing to listen to. Aishwarya is good with her low range, but as soon as she attempts higher notes, her voice sounds very very shrill. She very often goes into falsetto when attempting high notes. This is a big no no for singers. Anwesha’s voice will allow for more versatility, whereas Aishwarya will have to remain genre-specific (singing mostly flat, soft songs with not much range) if she hopes to make it as a playback singer.

If people think Anwesha’s voice isn’t nice to listen to (because of the alleged lack of sweetness), then I wonder what they may think of singers like Anamika (winner of SRGMP lil’ champs) and playback singers such as, Sunidhi Chauhan and Richa Sharma. These voices aren’t exactly “sweet” either, but they’re both very successful playback singers.

The problem is Aishwarya sings all her songs in the same monotonous voice, I have yet to hear a song where she attempts to modulate her voice even somewhat. Artists consider voice-modulation to be quite important, it is in no way indicative of the singer not having an original voice of their own, it merely means that he/she is now singing with a professional voice. Why were the judges so excited when Anwesha sang ‘Maiya maiya’ for the first time? Shreya said “you completely changed your voice, wow” – she said this because she knows that voice-modulation is the mark of a true singer.

In my last post I mentioned “Aiswarya might be more suitable for mild playback songs for her voice”, Actually I wanted to mean “Aiswarya will be only suitable for mild playback songs for her voice, but Anwesha will be suitable for all type of songs for true voice-modulation capability. I still can not beleive the song ‘Ami je Tomar……’, what a talent……

exactly. aish fanss. please try to understand that voice-modulation doesn’t mean u don’t have originality in ur voice. it just meanss you can suit your voice for any song requested by music directors. i also agree that aish’s voice sounds pretty shrill when she tries to hit high notes.

and also aish’s rendition of ‘pyaar ka signal’ was veryy annoyinggg. and some of the high parts she sang made me want to pierce my tv. other songs were of course very soulful and sweet, but i’d prefer anwesha’s voice over aishwarya’s (as would many other ppl who kno music and truly love music) anyyy dayyy!!!!

Let me again repeat. Lata Mangeshkar was a one track singer. She never did any voice modulation in a single one of her hundreds of thousands of songs. She sang all her songs in ‘the same monotonous way’. Yet she was the No.1 playback singer of all time so far (In future Aishwarya is destined for that position).

Voice modulation is not the mark of a true great singer. Voice quality and expression even at the cost of a slight reduced sur control (these flaws can easily be corrected in a recording studio) and the ability to sing into the hearts of ppl is much more important than vocal acrobatics.

Most of the Indians are uneducated and sick. They follow the regionalism in the field of culture. I’m not an Indian , and my neutral comment that stupid Gaj(Elephent)endra is Gujju that’s why he made the another Gujju Champ. I live in Canada and found Gujju’s are cheap Bustard about the financial matter. They are also the stupid in culture.

Yes, she was a one track singer, but she wasn’t besuri, like aishwarya. yes she may have sung songs in ‘the same monotonous way’ but her voice quality was much different than previous singers and this is one reason she was so famous. she was also famous b/c she was able to sing that well even when she was 60 and stuff. aish may have an original voice quality but there are so many peeople w/ sweet voice quality that it won’t even matter. people will start looking for extra things in singers like range, versatility, voice modulation, etc. so i realy don’t think aish is destined for that position b/c she has none of these. nowadays you need more than just voice quality. yes i guess lataji also had luck, and it seems aish has an immense amount of luck to. to win chhote ustaad and all.

‘Voice modulation is not the mark of a true great singer.’ says you. anything you got to back that up? shreya ghoshal said it was and i believe she is a pretty accomplished playback singer. first u say voice quality and expression is important and anwesha has both. if flaws can be easily corrected in a recording studio, then a voice can be made to sound sweeter in a recording studio too so that really doesn’t even matter anymore. not only does anwesha have more sur and is always perfect on sur, she has a lot of ‘kaj’ and ‘lae’ in her voice, which aishwarya does not have, and these will never be fixed in a recording studio.
and as far as the ability to sing into the hearts of ppl goes, anwesha has already touched everyone’s hearts. and everyone feels she is the true winner. just close ur eyes and listen to her new rendition of ‘ami je tomar’ and tell me why it doesn’t touch your heart.

so according to ur criteria of a perfect playback singer as well as the rest of india and CU lovers, anwesha is the perfect playback singer!

Other than Asha, who else was there to compare Lata with? Out of the millions of people in India even back then, were Lata and Asha the only decent female singers in the country? I think not. I have heard many so stories about Lata blocking the way for many female singers to make their mark in her time, because she wanted to remain supreme queen of Bollywood music. Her voice was accepted back then, because the public had barely heard what any other female singer sounds like. People tended to stick with what was already familiar to them. Things have, however, changed significantly since then. The types of qualities of voice accepted in todays society is more varied than back then. Everybody has their own personal prefrences. Sweet voices are a dime a dozen in Bollywood, one requires a lot more to be successful.

But Lata was not A BESURA Like AISH. So please don’t even TRY to compare Aish with Lata,the legend. Aish is one of those very mediocre singers with a good voice , which I think are dime a dozen. Aditi Paul, Monali Thakur, Deepali, Neha Rajpal, Himani and specially Nihira Joshi and Poonam were far far better than very average Aish. Who are you trying to fool??
Anwesha Is one in a million – a real legend in the making.

Some of my thoughts abt the fans and supporters of Anwesha (nothing personal, only my observations)

1.Voting. Only Anwesha has the right to get any votes, Aishwarya has no right to get votes. Yes, ppl have the democratic right to vote, as long as it’s for their contestant Anwesha. All ppl voting for Aishwarya are corrupt and part of corrupt voting system.

2.Exclusion. Only Anwesha should get a place in Bollywood and all doors should be shut to Aishwarya. Even entry into Mumbai should be barred for Aishwarya.

3.Winning. In any contest, only their contestant has any right to win. Examples are Sanchita and Anamika (PHEW! 2 of the most ghastly singers I’ve ever had the misfortune to hear in my life) And to think that Aishwarya, who was about 2 years younger than Sanchita and a 1000 times better and also in the contest, was forced out of the contest by Sanchita’s and other contestant’s parents just to make Sanchita win.
Even at that young age, Aishwarya was singing like an angel and deserved to win that contest. Even in this blog some have commented that Sanchita and Anamika are deserving winners!

4.Regional voting. If Bengal gives votes for Anwesha it’s on merit but if Gujarat votes for Aishwarya, it’s regional biased voting.

5.Songs. The best song of the entire competition from first to last, is Albela Sajan, a masterpiece! Yet none of them is willing to give credit to Aish for this song. Anwesha would never in a 1000 years be able to sing this song in that way. You mention Ami je tomar over and over, but Aish was not given any equivalent song in the finale. If she’d sung Albela Sajan, everyone would have cried that day.

6.Anwesha’s supporters ignore the string of mind blowing songs given by Aishwarya throughout the contest.

7.Abusiveness. According to Anwesha’s supporters, ‘Thse bloody Gujaartis, what do they think of themselves’ In other words, how can they dare to vote for Aishwarya? Further, Aishwarya’s family is corrupt, the whole community is corrupt. Aishwarya herself is maybe not a criminal yet, but on the road to becoming one!!!!

So dear Anwesha’s supporters, please think abt the above, be more tolerant and inclusive, and at least give credit where credit is due. Thanks.

There is abuse on both sides, which is unfortunate. You should vist some of the other blogsites. There are some seriously disgusting comments all over from supporters of both contestants. It’s just that this particular blog is more in support of Anwesha. I do agree that Albela Sajan was Aishwarya’s best performance and she should have sung in the finale. But the best performer of that particular song, overall, remains Amanat Ali.

WE hear singers like Aish all the time. What’s the big deal? In the recording studio everyone sounds great – even our Alisha Chinoy and Lucky Ali sound superb. But have you heard Alisha or Lucky ALi sing live?? IMO it’s not about just playback singing – its about being a True Singer and having the qualities to be flawless – that’s what makes one a great singer. Anwesha,unlike anybody else has all the qualities to be great singer. I don’t understand how can someone have the audacity to compare Aish with Lata. Someone who looses sur every time she sings. It’s Hilarious and Ridiculous to say the least!! An INSULT TO LATAJI.

ahh! I am just thinking at 14 years, Anwesha starts a song and its barely seconds that the public start clapping … Isn’t that a huge reward ? .. Man she left Mumbai with a mark and I am happy about it .. Funde Sahi hai to kahi bhi fit ho jaata hai Insaan.. is bandi ke funde ekdum pakke hain.. Anwesha kiddo aur mehnat karo .. koi seema nahi kuch nahi .. padhaai (studies to complete karna hi hai) and music .. bas ! Hum tomhaara album to pokka Khoridoonga !! hee Bongali istyle mein bola !!!… kya karun control nahi hua after I saw your “Mere Dholna”… Daarun Geyechis kono kotha hobe na .. For once Shreya was also taken aback .. Jio Jio !!! Do not worry a lot of serious good wishes are with you and that makes a huge difference!

IN ANSWER TO MR KVNIRANJAN

1.VOTING– YES, ONLY DESERVING SHOULD GET VOTES. NOT A SINGER LIKE ASH WHO IS NOT TECHNICALLY NOR CLASSICALLY PERFECT. IF ANWESHA WAS NOT HERE, NOBODY WUD HAVE SAID ASH DID NOT DESERVE.BUT TRUTH IS ANWESHA IS 100 TIMES BETTER WHICH AUDIENCE IN EVERY CITY, JUDGES AND ARTISTS REPEATEDLY PROVED.

2. EXCLUSION-nobody is saying ash does not deserve a place in Bollywood. but not yet. she has a long way to go whereas Anwesha can step into a recording studio RIGHT NOW and be perfect at it.

3.WINNING- what is this about ‘theirs’ and ‘ours’? i am not a Bengali,does that mean I cannot support Anwesha? even if I was a Gujaarti, i would have supported Anwesha becuase a singer like her is difficult to find.
You are exposing your narrow-mindedness by calling Sanchita and Anamika ‘ghastly singers’. they were the best of the lot, undoubtedly. surely Judges like Sonu nigama nd Alka Yagnik who supported them are not fools?
You are showing your own limitations by calling them bad, bcoz they were DESRVING singers. PROOF-when they won, there was no such comments as we find in this blog. MOST PPL WERE SO HAPPY THAT THEY WON. and u can check out the blogs,i f u don’t believe. even rohanpreet’s supporters acknowledged Anamika was better.

4.REGIONAL VOTING– PPL r pointing fingers at gujarat because they ahve made undeserving win. Same with north-east for prashant, same with punjab for ishmeet. its not only gujarat. HOWEVER NOT A SINGLE SINGER FROM BENGAL WHO WON WAS UNDESERVING, EXCEPT MAYBe DEBOJEET. and dat 2 debojeet got more votes from north-east,not bengal as he was a bengali from assam and north east went crazy voting 4 him.

5.SONGS- ONLY A BIASED ASH SUPPORTER CAN SAY ALBELA SANJAN WAS BEST SONG. GIMME A BREAK! ANWESHA CAN SING DAT 100 TIMES BETTER DAN ASH. ON D OTHER HAND, ASH WUD FALL RIGHT ON HER FAT FACE IF SHE EVN ATTEMPTED AAMI JE TOMAR. in all the duets they sung , anwesha was better.

6. GUJAARTIS- i have nothing against dem or for dem but it was pretty evident from this show that ash’s aprents r corrupt. eevrybody has said dis, when ash won d first thing camera focused on ash’s father n he was saying 2 his wife ‘i told u na’. As 4 guajart, honest partcipants like Mirande shah are also from gujarat. So all gujartis ar not bad, but in this case dey proved narrow-mindedness

Phir se ek baar bolunga … Shreya ke gaane mein Shreya ko hi paani pila diya Anwesha ne.. ismein koi doraai nahi hai mere khayal se… O Jio tussi! Tussi great Kuddi !!

I must add more points to my previous 7.

8.ONLY WE KNOW MUSIC. All others who are Aishwarya’s supporters don’t know the first thing about music.

9.WHEN WE SAY ANWESHA is BETTER, that’s the end of it. The whole world better accept it. No dissent or arguments tolerated.

10.Sanchita and Anamika (WHEW!) are deserving winners. So everyone better accept it because WE said it. If you see the videos of Sanchita, you can see how disgusted the judges were and reluctant to give her points. Btw, both Abhijit and Alka were tremendously impressed with Aishwarya in that show (now they’re admirers of Aishwarya for life) It was their fantastic praise for Aishwarya that made Sanchita and others nervous and depressed and they got Aish removed from the show. The song ‘Beedi Jalile’ was sung with a folk song voice. In fact Sanchita can be a folk singer and nothing beyond that.

11.ONLY ANWESHA deserves to get votes and she’s the only deserving singer. It’s true because WE SAID SO.

12.The song Albela Sajan could be sung by ANWESHA 2982094 times better. It’s proved because I said so.

13.Not a single singer from Bengal was undeserving except Debojeet, because though a Bengali, he was from Assam and not from Bengal, so he is undeserving.

14.THREATS. Gajji, in future you won’t get anybody from Bengal, so the whole of Indian music has to rot without any talent (there’s no talent anywhere in India except Bengal)

15.Finally, the most important point, WE’RE always right and the rest of the world is always WRONG

I have to disagree ewith Mr KV in a lot of things but the first thing which any normal lover of music would know is AISHWARYA IS DEF. NOT READY FOR PLAYBACK. If Nihira joshi and Poonam and Arshpreet have not yet got offers, forget AishwaryA! i also don’t think Ash should become a singer. She has some fundamental flaws in her singing.

1. She CANNOT connect to crowd- esp. seen in bhopal, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai episodes where people just seemed disinterested after ash’s performances.This depuet ash’s nahkres and melodramatic expressions. in Mumbai especially the cheers always started AFTER ash left stage.

2. I DON’T AGREE SHE HAS A GOOD VOICE QUALITY- in fact, her voice is shrill(false) on high notes and a bit too rounded. Yes, lata jee’s voice was also rounded. but ash’s a bit TOO rounded. this disguises the fact that her control over sur is purely AVERAGE. anwesha on the other hand had mind-blowing control over sur, her range and throw are god-gifted. Ash is lucky in a way that her voice quality overshadows such a major problem. 3 songs she screwed up are – ‘Crazy kiya re’(terrible!), ‘Kehta hai man’ and ‘mera piya ghar aaya’. in finals she was lousy and clumsy with ’signal’ and ‘barso re’. ‘in Dino’ showed her limitations in pitch and control. She just cannot reach high notes effortlessly.

3.MONTONOUS- why she never has crowd rooting for her like they do for Anwesha(Maahi ve and aami je tomar) is because she sings in the same monotonous, flat voice. no voice modulation, no efforts to improvise. Just shows How anwesha scores over her-there is just no comaprison. Anwesha is a pro in the diff. components of singing she can perfect every little layer with so much confidence. i don’t agree she can do playback for soft, romantic songs either. for that we already have shreya who will be around for a long,long time. Sumedha who also has a soft, sweet voice can do playback because she hardly slips in playback. Aishwarya falters on lower notes, her alaaps r not perfect. so she cannot do playabck

Like many befor her, she will be confined 2 stage shows but since she isn’t good in retaining audience either i’m afraid Ash cannot be a singer.

Mr K.V. a Gujarati is trying to spoil Bengalis’ name. I would advise everyone in the blog to try to put him in his place.

Here he is just frusterated because people have pointed out narrow-minded and regional attitude of Gujaartis. this is pointed out in this blofg by hemant dada, a Gujaarti himself. he has aclled his home crowd ‘partisan’ and i have to agree.

Mr KV whether you like it or not the industry has always been dominated by bengalis(not just the music industry). Anyway this year Shreya and Shaan both bengalis won filmfare awards for 3′rd or 4′th time. Kishore Kumar the GREATEST bollywood singer was Bengali. he was not reven trained, yet is still the most popluar. Today the fastest-selling albums are of preetam’s. Shantanu moitra is very classy. He took home the RD burman award(again a bengali) Abhijeet and madhushree are two other Bengali bollywood singers who are big.

Coming to reality shows well there again…most of the winners are Bengalis! Aneek, Ruprekha, Ujjaini, Debojeet, Sanchita, Anamika(not 2 mention Shreya in past)no other comm. can give so many winners. You Gujaartis give us 1 mediocre sing

we that too whom eevrybody is calling ‘undeserving’ and who won when ANWESHA a magnificent singer was there…you should be ashmed of yourselves. that too nobody has EVER accused us of being CORRUPT. because we are NOT.

Today the top music composer(PREETAM), TOP MALE SINGER(SHAAN) TOP FEMALE(SHREYA) are Bengalis. Saregama last 4 winners have been bengalis. in indian idol 3 the best were all Bengalis- Amit, Emon, Puja. In VOI junior the best ANWESHA legend in making is ours. SO WHY SHOULDN’T WE BE PROUD?
and its not a threat- but the truth. THE DAY BENAGLIS BOYCOTT REALITY SHOWS WILL END. who will win? you crass gujaartis?

Payal, well said. I am a Punjabi but I agree 100% with you. Gujaratis have given us 1 winner that too over whom everyone is raising a hue and a cry,and they are posting such msges. Anyway Aishwarya will never be a singer. Oh did I forget Mr Ganjawala? He reallly cannot sing. His breath control is SOOOOOOOO poor. fIRST YOU GUJJUS SHOULD LEARN HOW TO BE FIR,REDUCE WEIGHT AND THEN THINK OF PLAYBACK.
