This was the worst episode of Chhote Ustaad. Behaviour of the crowd by biased. Morever, judges have now completely biased. They are trying their utmost to pressurise Anwesha by giving easy songs to Aishwarya, ignorning her mistakes in singing and still encouraging her by giving Sartaj Servottams. On the other hand, they are giving meaningless and never heard of songs to Anwesha.

I have no hesitation in saying that the entire team of Chhote Ustaad is involved in making Aishwarya win.

However, I must say that these bad tactics cannot keep away a nice and talented singer Anwesha from becoming a big star in Bollywood.

I am fully convinced that the absence of Pritam from the show must have been his dissent and protest against the biased behaviour of other two judges.

Had there been a genuine reason for absence of Pritam, the same must have been mentioned in the program.

    Rupinder & Ronnie,

From my side both Aishwarya and Anwesha may go to hell. I care less. I am not voting for any body. I am saving my votes for Ishmeet in the next show Superstar.
yesterday Kunal ganjawala displayed his racist mentality by taking every religion’s name except for sikh religion. This shows how sikhs are ignored by the people of our country. No wonder why Ishmeet had to suffer so much racism in the show.

Rupinder, I am sad that inspite of being a sikh u could not understand my views. Your stattement regarding aishwarya’s day paying me was childish.

Correction: Behaviour of the crowd was biased….

These reality shows have become a medium for some ppl to show their anger and disgust for sikh community as a whole. Some people just cant tolerate a sikh guy coming forward in such shows. Gajendra singh also made sure that is no sikh participant in chotte ustaad. He also has a racist mindset. Despite winning Ishmeet has been insulted because he belongs to the sikh community. People hv made it a habit of insulting sikhs even after sikh community has done so many sacrifices for the country and Hindu religion.

    Jatin, Zubair,

I see that you guys are getting emotional. As I have said in my earlier posts, this is ALL BUSINESS!! Organizers know very well what MIRCH MASALA people want, what kind of controversies incite people…and thats exactly what they serve. Gajendra is a guy with master mind and sharp eye for opportunity to make money.

My only advice to you guys is, you also figure out how to make money from all this, the way I have done it.

Just saw this episode man.. this is biasing and nothing else.. first Anwesha is given average numbers.. Aish was given the most soulful of song in “Janeja” and she has literally s’ed that up.. still judges were praising it.. amazing man !!!.. What is that stupidity of that aish and her father’s padosan medley, for?.. This show made it clear that they want Aishwarya to win.. it very much clear there.. real disgusting man.. the show is moving to such a sad end.. doesn’t matter if Anwesha loses it.. but still that is going to pinch me a lot and I guess all music lover who followed it up with their soul.. cos even this show made it very much clearer.. that Anwesha is FARFARFAR superior.. she is the best.. and she should have win this contest..

Aish Performance: I donno of the first gujrati number.. it didn’t sound great to me.. “Jisse dhundta hun” was horribly sung.. “Dil cheez Kiya he” there was no right pace to the song.. it was a pain to listen to it.. “Janeja” totally s’ed up.. there was no soul, no feeling, no pace in the song.. it was kind of dragged singing.. I donno how kunal and shreya bear her rendition.. kunal new that she has sung it so badly, why he still praised it.. he should have known the best about the mistakes she made, cos he is the original singer.. I donno what was going on there..

And my gosh.. gujrat crowd was the most biased crowd that I have seen.. Calcutta was much better..

Anwesha’s Performance: “Kemche” was decent.. In sense there is nothing great in the song.. still Anwesha has sung it so well.. “Saki” number was so beautifully sung by her though again the song has nothing.. she made it beautiful with her talent.. “Bhor bhaye” was another lame song given to her.. mind u, she again did a decent job with it.. she has distinct voice from Lata, but she manages all songs so well, therefore this one didn’t sound that bad.. “Dupatta Tera” song choice was shocking.. they didn’t get a decent song of kunal for Anwesha? hardly unbelievable!! she coul have given “Hum se yun milenge” from Ankahee.. that was soulful and I am sure Anwesha wud have won heart of all with that song.. but nah!! she is given a s**t song to sing.. just to project Aish.. this was clearly visible man.. till now I was denying it.. but alas I cud see this too..

anyway.. I felt furious watching this episode.. but was amazed to see the exuberance of Anwesha in such a tough situation.. she is a raw talent.. hoping to see her rise up as a bright star in our music industry.. I am sure we shall have a feast of beauties of songs from her in coming future..

  13. By Anonymous on Apr 5, 2008 | Reply

It’s true that Anwesha received very average kinds of songs to sing, whereas Aish had some great melodious, soulful songs that have a lot of scope. Despite this, Anwesha still did full justice to all the songs given. Her Gujrati number is still ringing in my ears. And I have to say that her ‘Bhor bhaye’ was just amazing! Very close to the original, in my opinion.

I had heard before, in a random forum, that she was going to sing ‘Kuhu kuhu bole koyalia’ for the Guru round, but for some reason wasn’t allowed to at the last minute.

I am sick of this regionalism shown in this show.. why the divide between gujrat and bengal is glorified like that? just to get stupid votes!!!.. and the thing showed in the show that gujrat is sooo great.. come on man, stop this nonsense.. if you can’t understand yourself than can’t u understand from a movie like “Chak De” that we are indian.. these guys are not bringing these two states together, but creating more divisions..

frankly speaking these shows is all in all “Dramabaazi” and making money from all resources.. only one thing was good in the whole show…. “Anwesha”..

  15. By deven on Apr 5, 2008 | Reply

really !!! ‘kuhu’ song would have been ideal for her.. she has got a range for that song.. This song was beautifully sung by “Poonam” and It would have been great experience to have compared the two renditions..

Problem is that we have used “amazing” word with Anwesha so much that it has become synonym with her.. But I found that her voice sounds more closer to “Asha”, “Kavita” and “Shreya”.. and not that closer to “Lata”.. but the way she sings every song sounds soo good.. I personally enjoy listening to all of her song.. just wished that she should get the best of soulful songs, so that even her hardest critic will know what she is capable of..

    Hello guys,

I completely agree with you that this was the most boring episode of all.
I cannot believe that even at this level, people try and play with minds of 14 year olds……. It sucks man !!!

To give Anwesha the songs that she got……must be one of the worst thing that has happened on television in many many years.

And i am surprised that people like Shreya and kunal have continued to let this go past their notice. If they cannot support and encourage singers ……. They have no right to be judges.
But who will remember this next year…….. NO ONE !!!

It will be same judges, same Gajji directing this show……cause with all the hype and hoopla the show is more popular than sa re ga ma pa lil champs.

But I hope they realise that it is only because they have got singer like Anwesha and to a certain extent Aishwarya that they are minting money.

Next year i hope this show gets a lul from the singing part…… I hope they dont even get people half the talent….and no one watches this show again.

Thats my wish. I hope it turns true.

    chandiani:
i have attended gajendraji’s saregama recordings at famous studios and film city. i used to get passes through post . i do not know gajendra singh personally but have talked with him on telephone on couple of ocassions. despite being one of the busiest persons in his line of activity, he is a gentleman to the core. very submissive and soft spoken.
all that lose talk about corruption etc. is meaningless unless you have concrete proof to substantiate the allegations.
i did not offer you a vip pass for the finals as you have commented in one of your posts. but the way you were repeatedly mentioning about betting etc on the final winner gave an impression that you are a gambler . you are probably right when you said that lot of betting is involved in this show.
this show has thrown up two equal talents in the final and i still believe it is difficult to name a clear winner.
in fact i was offered passes for vvip enclosure also but i do not fall in that category. had dr akbiswas or any of the bloggers on this site be here, particularly madam vandana from delhi i could have arranged for any number of free passes for them
anyway i wish you and your family all happiness and winnings in whatever you do in proper manner.
    thanks.

As can be noticed, nearly all the people in this forum believe that Anwesha is the better of the two finalists. So, this should naturally be the trend for all the Indian public. However, quite amazingly, the voting situation is different and as per Chhote Ustaad program, Aishwarya is leading by huge margin over Anwesha.

Are “JINS AND BHOOTS” giving votes to Aishwarya?

  19. By Anonymous on Apr 5, 2008 | Reply

Yes, it was said that she was going to sing ‘kuhu kuhu’ and I was very excited about it. But needless to say, for whatever reason, it turned out that the entire round was dropped in favour of a Kunal Ganjawala dedication round!

But keep in mind that I’m not sure how reliable this source is and therefore I have no way of actually knowing whether she was really going to sing it or not…

Either way, after this show is over, I hope that some of her more diehard fans will ask a request for her to sing this song and put it up on youtube. That’d be great!

Anwesha, no matter you win this or not but you’re the winner. Remember your host (Abhas) he was not the winner either at one time but now he’s. You rock girl and you’re the best. Alas I am not in show/cinema biz to sign you. If I am not mistaken I see Lata jee’s voice in you.

There are people who have read my comments on the previous episode and commented about the sweet voice of Aishwarya and Anwesha.

To them, I am a big fan of Anwesha and I love what she does with her voice. If there is one singer in recent years that i have liked for variety of songs …. It has to be Anwesha. Previously I used to like Sunidhi Chauhan especially after Chameli…. for those scintillating numbers. But Anwesha is better and she will be far far superior to Sunidhi in a few years.

As far as Shreya goes ….. She is very good in slow and melodious numbers but i havent heard her sing high pitch numbers ……. I would like her to sing songs like “Mahi ve”, “Saki” …….. and if she has the guts …… she should sing song that Anwesha sung “O meri jaan”. And then i will rate her.

Yes i shouldnt be saying anything about Shreya Ghoshal since she has given us good numbers in the recent years and i am not even 1% as good as her. But this is no comparison……this is assessment of a talent of a 14 year old. And if singers like Shreya ghoshal cannot get it. Then i dont really understand it.

    Anwesha…….. I will buy your albums anyday….
I just hope that some good music directors make you sing their songs. I hope and pray for you. Thats all i can do for you.

I guess I think most people who liked Anwesha have the same feeling of hopelessness. They can do nothing more but hope that she finds her path to victory (in life and whatever she aims for) and not get disheartened by this result.

    We love you Anwesha.

Only shows the stupidity and immaturity of the Gujrati Audience compared to the Kolkata ones. They vote for Aishwariya not based on her singing ability but just because she is from Gujrat and fools like these are given the authority to choose the Chhote Ustaad.

I am in UK and watching chotte ustad videos through this site. Gujrat has already proved that they are going to make everything for Aiswarya to win, although most music lovers in the country prefer Anwesha as the best. Anwesha is purely matured to sing all sort of music, have quality voice, great personality to be a celebrity, capability to entertain crowds in the music shows. Whereas I believe Aiswarya has sweet voice, but definitely lacking the other skills from Anwesha. Definitely Aiswarya will be matured in coming years, but as per current situation she is not the best to win chotte ustad . Nowadays we can see undeserved candidates are declared champion in these type of tv shows and this has already proved that people are loosing interests to watch these shows. As a proof we can see why Bengal is not voting. In previous episode Kolkata has shown that they are never biased and can support those who are really good. This is because Kolkata is a cultural city and Bengalis give value to the real culture, arts, music etc. Earlier Anwesha said in an interview, “Winning or loosing does not matter”, I also believe the same. She has great talent and even she loose, she has got enough support from most of the people except Gujrat, judges, media. I think she has great future. I wish her all the best to succeed in life.

There is no nervousness between us.. But despair about the system.. You can’t make people fool for a long time.. Show is biased and it is clearly visible there now.. “Gujaratan chal nahi rahi he, sagon dodai ja rahi he.. Jit len diyon usno eh title.. ki ho jawega.. log sunange ta Anwesha nu hi.. crowd’s behavior(specially adults) made Bipasha Basu (she is beautiful and tall5’8″, wellbuilt Bengali girl almsot like sushmita sen,5’10″) uncomfortable and she minced no words “let us talk in Bengali” was a direct slap>
comedy clip of ash and her father was really funny>shows father and daughter has a beautiful relationship.
The parents of these kids are wonderful.
This episode was a little better than delhi.
    Rajasthan episode is my favorite.

Shreya has looks to become a good actress in Bollywood.. I suggest someone take her as an actress in a movie.. and and and.. important point is that all her songs in the movie should be given to Anwesha to sing.. so far I buy a music album just seeing the name of Shreya and she has not disappointed me so far.. for me, it is going to b Anwesha now..

I have just finished watching the 4th April episode……
I wont dilly dally…I’ll come straight to the point……
This is an Aishwarya special…(like they do shreya special…etc) with Anwesha being used as a prop.
I go back to my blog after the Jaipur episode when they announced the next episode to be shot in Kolkata…..I had said that the choice of Ahmedabad as the venue for the penultimate episode itself was an extremely biased strategy…..now you see why it was done…..to play with peoples’ emotions….and garner maximum votes for Aishwarya….like striking when the iron is hot…I say this even though Aishwarya was leading by a minimal margin before this episode began…this is done so that Anwesha doesnt catch up at the last minute……
Looking at it objectively, its just another musical talent reality show…but it appears to be more a show of which family is more dramebaaz and which dad is more pally with the show organisers….every parent is emotional about his/her child…every mother is proud of her son/daughter….but to repetitively make use of these emotions for material gain ….that is utter cheap. Let me mention here that the margin between reality and drama is very subtle…its easy to play with peoples emotions coz not many can appreciate the difference and anybody with the slightest acting skills (all the more easier if it runs in the family)definitely stands to gain.Period.
Having said that I definitely uphold Aishwaryas talent…she has a fabulous voice no doubt….. I appreciate her parents’ sacrifice, her father’s talent, modern outlook……..BUT people voting (from recent trends in favour of Aishwarya) her over Anwesha for singing prowess……unbelievable! You dont need a degree in music to tell whos better….you need a ear for it!!!
I for one felt extremely sad seeing this episode….the onus has gradually shifted from “singing” to “stage show”….i dont want to comment more on it…………
Nevertheless, Anwesha outclassed her opponent in ALL the songs….despite the biased song selection…despite the extremely narrow-minded crowd…..despite it being an Aishwarya special!
Im more or less certain who is going to win this contest…..being judged by regionalism and favouritism….the trends of todays society…with able political leaders like Mr Modi sitting in top seats…what more can be expected?
I dont want to shift focus from singing…….so all you people watching these kids sing……the show is making one of them the voice of India…..but its the other voice of India whos making the show!!! No prizes for guessing who is which………..
Three cheers to good music and musicians…….

Hey, no offense to Gujrati people actually.. if I am doing that then I am wrong.. they are doing what a home crowd normally do, supporting their people.. we do in sports too.. this type of support is healthy, but one shall appreciate the talent of opposite contestant as well.. specially if he/she is so good.. that makes you great..

After giving a thought, I feel that it may not be the Gujrat crowd, but the way it is presented, is not good..

    well said fairy!!

  41. By deven on Apr 5, 2008 | Reply

yeah.. but they have exaggerated a lot on that.. too much adulation was shown.. I feel they totally side tracked Anwesha here.. Just noticed the expression on judges face during all renditions.. They can’t hide appreciation for Anwesha.. and while Aish was performing, they were kind of feeling uncomfortable, but maintained their composure while giving rich comments.. I don’t think they were saying it through their heart.. if you still think that they did, then they must be good actors as well..

Haha, my comments must be sounding very biased now, since I was supporting both of them till now.. Reason for this is that I myself sense something wrong there by the pattern of things happened in last couple of shows.. Cos I have seen the effect of it wherein some of Anwesha’s supporters start calling her “Ghamandi”, overconfident and concentrating more on dancing kind of thing.. In the last two shows they were trying to showcase Aish as cute and better singer..

At a first go I liked Aish’s audio songs.. cos all of them were classical and soulful numbers.. but after giving a couple of listening to them, I could see huge flaws in her singing.. right rhythm seems to be missing at crucial point of those songs.. I guess many people have noticed that commented on it several times.. “O Sajna” is the only song which she has sung flawlessly..

Comparatively, Anwesha has sung all types of songs pretty well.. She excelled in the songs originally sung by Asha, kavita and shreya.. she was brilliant in performing songs of other singers as well that included Richa, Shubha mugdal etc.. Lata’s ardent fans won’t believe this but she has given full justice to Lata’s songs as well.. What more versatility do you expect from a singer?..

sir, this is not called for.. I believe every state has its own uniqueness and beauty.. we have such a diverse culture, but what can make us stronger is unity.. I strongly believe every culture has its own richness and beauty.. It is not only Bengal who is producing best people, but whole of our country.. I am sure everybody can give their own examples.. everybody has their own theories to tell.. that’s why outsiders play the mental game with the border states to create all this nonsense, so that they can indulge in disruption activities to the development of our country.. all invaders have utilized this strategy against us and unfortunately with our comments here, it seems that we are still very much vulnerable.. can’t we live together appreciating each other’s culture?.. mind you, a single separation of a state will result in distruction of our whole country.. whether it is kashmir, punjab, gorkhaland, tamil, bengal, maharashtra, gujrat, etc.. we are living a similar kind of life.. then why can’t we live in a unity?..

I guess we should stop this topic as it is not going to prove anything, but bring bad taste. It is just a reality show where on spur of moment, one judge miss out to say something.. we should not take care of what he said but believe what we are..

    SONIAJI KI JAI!!!
WHEN MORARJI DESAI, BECAME PRIME MINISTER,he prescribed to drink urine for indians and also for the world ,his secret of health.
even to-day, many are suggesting that!!
same song “MERE HO ” why was not given to ‘ANWESHA DIDI”,a 10yr old asked m ,”it’s not fair” ! He puffed.
I had to tell him SOME Indians are very smart because they drink urine every day,UNLIKE us ,we have to buy drinking water in USA.
    he shrieked “yack”

Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala, Parthiv Goel(Saawariya – Yun Shabnami), Sonu Nigam (it was because of his compering he was more recognized) and now Anvesha and Aishwarya…both were equally good and talented but there has to be one winner…cant help it. Majority of these people do not have any knowlegede of India and its history.so they don’t like to hear the truth.
Bengal was deliberately marginalised by MR.JAWAHARLAL NEHRU> his intention was to divert the center of administration of india OUT OF BENGAL and Bengali hands.even in 1947,Bengal had the highest educated bengali than WHOLE OF INDIA.once Mr. shamaprasad Mukherjee, son of SIR ASUTOSH MUKEHRJEE was killed in kashmir jail on FAKE CHARGE. Indira Gandhu did the same in emergency!! a man like Vajpayee(the most honest and rsepected person of Indian politics) was sent to jail.he was sure the DELHI MASNAD will remain HIS AND HIS NEHRU FAMILY.thank GOD, RAJIV GNADHI WAS KILLED AND HOPE FULLY RAHUL GANDHI will BE ELIMNATED> so that delhi Masnad will be free from NEHRU FAMILY.

    Suman,
    1) it is preposterous to assume that anyone with the name JOHN is not Indian. This is just another reflection of irrationality of you guys – especially mr Biswas. I am sure not many christians in india will be pleased by your commment.

    2) i am well trained in indian classical music – in dhrupad dagarbani style. My comment on rabindra sangeet still stands. Sorry if it hurts your ‘bengali nationalism’. I am no advocate of bollywood music (another assumption on your part).

    3) My analogy to hitler still stands. But you wound not understand it if you havent studied world war two. People often think they should only confine to studying their local history. Any history is GLOBAL..you will only become wiser by studying it.

    4) Just like BJP and other fundamentalist parties thrive on religious agenda but are light years away from what religion is, so are many of you bengali’s who thrive on praising great figures from bengal are light years away from what these figures have actually stood for. If Mr Biswas even had an inkling of Rabindranath or Sri Aurobindo’s preachings he will never behave in such an OBSCENCE way on the net.

    5) it is deplorable the way you guys critisise INDIANS and praise BENGALIS. You must have a really low self esteem. I can only feel sorry for you.

Enough said – i am not going to waste any more space on net. Reflect on it or throw it away in a dustbin. your choice.

    MR.JOHN,
Let me answer to your questions:(1-5)

    1. Christanity came to India by Portuguese mainly>it was a forced conversion of lower caste Hindus> a shameful chapter of Indian history. Shameful because it was the biggest traitors for India who supported the colonial master and in the history of freedom struggle of India their participation was with the master. That’s why when Independence was imminent, large mass of Christians migrated to Australia and newzeland. Here in park street area, a large portion was Christian community, they disappeared overnight in Calcutta. Goa, Daman and Duke, were freed by Indian soldiers after India got her independence.
Role of Christianity in slave trade of was notorious. When white master was brutally flogged the slaves, the Christian fathers brain washed the NEGROS to remain submissive. CHRISTIANITY PLAYED THAT DOUBLE STANDARD ROLE CLEVERLY. EVEN IN USA,FATHERS ENGAGED IN SODOMIZING LITTLE CHILDREN,COULDN’T BE PROSECUTED; ultimately the US SUPREME COURT had to take action against the VATICAN to prosecute them and put them behind bar. Indian chapter will not be any different, only Indian court system has no such power (ARE YOU KIDDING! SONIAJI, an Italian Christian is our congress president). So what is Christianity in India is anybody’s guess.

    2. Rabidbra nath Tagore, a Nobel laureate was an international figure, not BENGALI, not Indian, not Asian, WORLD FIGURE. VISWA BHARATI, first international open university for the world.
INDIA (GOVT. OF INDIA, not west Bengal govt) took charge for shantiniketan for basking in that Tagore’s image. Originally, shantiniketan land and property was bought by prince Dwarka nath thakur.Tagore made the institution with his Nobel Prize money (NOT FROM GOVT. OF INDIA).
His sangeet, his vast works of literature is not for Bengali, Indian or Asian, it’s for world. Whether a man john, dhrupad singer from KERALA evaluates his sangeet lyrics or melody is a laughing joke!! To-day works of Tagore has been translated to 36 countries and included in most us universities curriculum of literature.
Language is a key to culture, how a keralite who doesn’t know Bengali would understand the lyrics? Insane???

    3. Whether I need to study world world2, European history to become pundit like you? – the answer is no.
    4. Religion’s light year away: religion and ignorance are synonymous in India, where humanity is neglected: “bhagwan ko dud khilao” is a joke. Religion has caused more ignorance, darkness, and divisions and still remains the main cause of superstitions and backwardness. political parties take the cover of religions to get vote bank –all of them do that not BJP ALONE.

    5. What’s India to-day is a reality, criticism is a part of self –consciousness and only people with self esteem can do that. To us Bengali, we inherit such a vast legacy of talents that ignorance is NOT bliss to us.SO INTROSPECTION & SELF ASSESSMENT IS A PART OF OUR DAILY CONSCIUOSNESS.

I think Anvesha is much better than Aishwarya because Anvesha is versatile singer in Surs she has very large scale to sing every kind of song. you can observe this in her last performance on 5-April-08 when she sung “Ami Je Tomar”

    THIS IS INDIA TO-DAY
Indians are the biggest hypocrite on earth.
He learns to speak in bifurcated tongue, like a serpent.on one tongue he admits that both are eually talented, on another he declares his single winner.Hindu superstitions damages the logic and consciousness of mental faculty.he becomes the prisoner of his own prison of obscurantist ideology.obsessive and compulsive behavior becomes his daily practice and logic goes far from his brain. This Musical event is a classic example.if both kids were awarded, what harm would have happened ? Nothing but two children would have been given the justice and recognition for their talents & hard work.
stone statues get more milk than hungry children on the street and vivekanada’s message becomes a portrait of creating fake image.THIS IS INDIA TO-DAY.

Excellent comment.. Specially, the one about statues and hungry children.. superstitions.. I’ll add –> I HATE all those who kills their daughters in womb itself.. people who throw garbage everywhere: street, buses, trains.. managers, who think people working under him/her are slaves (no work etiquette, ethics).. regionalism.. and so many other things like that..

I boil just thinking about them.. India has potential to become the top country in the world, that’s it.. cos they will not going to become one in next hundred years if these things still persist.. which will, cos nothing seems to be improving.. only that we are gaining more garbage from western world instead of gaining their good points..

I feel so happy seeing these highly talented kids perform, but then feel sad due to the way people are playing with their emotions through elimination rounds, dramabaazi and using these kids talent to earn huge money..

Suman, Your comment about christinaty really sent a chill through my spine – how pathetic really to use such arguments. Should i hate all germans because some of them killed jews. OR should we start hating all hindus because they burnt sikhs…OR should we hate all americans because they bombed japan. You dont use history to hate people – you use history to learn what to and what not to – and hatred is ceratinly in the list of what not to! YOu use history to develop compassion.

Another sign of irrationality – First i was european, now i am keralite (with obvious contempt of course!! ), and you make second assumption based on your first assumption that keralites can’t learn dhrupad). I wonder what do i become next time? ok let me unleash the truth – i am originally a delhite nd although kerala has always been on at the top of my list as places to visit, i unfortunately have not yet had the opportunity:). LOL.

Its interesting you guys make assumptions and then another set of assumptions based on those assumptions and then begin arguing wtih a sword in your hand. So Ms Suman let me teach you one important lesson. Assumptions are made to test hypothesis – they cannot be used as arguments. You obviously did not study science in high school/college ???

Finally cant you read. I am talking about music and not literature…so your entire retort on rabindra sangeet is not relevant to this discussion..

WELL RELISH IN YOUR BENGALI GHETTO…and your superloop of assumptions. May God bless you.

In grand finale ANWESHA SANG “ami je tomar”,IT OBVIOUSLY EMBARASSED MS.JUHI CHOWLA SO SHE BECAME NERVOUS TO ANOUNCE THE NAME AND TURNED TO ANWESHA “BOTH OF YOU SHOULD HAVE THIS AWARD”
THIS DID MADE AMITAV BACCHAN PAUSED IN AWE THEN HE RESUMED HIS TACTICS LIKE OLD POLITICIAN AND ANOUNCED”MY BAHU”
SILENCE AND GRACE CAME OVER ANWESHA SHE TURNED HER GAZE DOWNWARD AND ACCEPTED THE DEFEAT.HER EXCELLENCE AND SILENCE SPAT AND SMACKED THE DIRECTOR’S FACE ,IF HE HAS ANY BREED AND SHAME.OBVIOUSLY GAJJI REMAINED UNSEEN FOR SEVERAL REASONS BUT ONE REASON FOR SHAME IN PUBLIC APPEARENCE!

the man who commits injustice and who tolerates that injustice are equally guilty.
This musical event was a shere injustice but i don’t hear any protest> so many people were there in the grand finale remained silent like herd of goats. The whole audience , heard twice from PRITAM THAT BOTH SHOULD BE AWARDED BUT REMAINED SILENT. Both anwesha and aiswyaria are equally talented and both of them should have got the award.
aiswyaria is a beautiful child, she is well mannered and has all the social grace as anwesha but what is magical about this child is her stagefree appearence and oratory quality.i think she has acquaired that ability so great that she uses her diction and gesture like a professional orator on stage(being exposed to stage at an early age).even in distress she has learned to control her emotions fully:one has to admire that.14yrs has comforted her parents and colleagues equally: leadership quality.
judges were either stammering, verbose or at a loss for word.kunal is totally immatured and a headless chicken.he can crow at anytime as dawn.pritam is still a humanist.shreya is a cold feet and nervous lady but she is kind and shy.
anchor is a hyperactive child.sometimes ok sometimes has attention seeking behavior.
guest judges: abhijit is a 3yr brain in an adult body.rest are simple & ordinary.
audience:calcutta audience respectable and hospitable to guest.Gujrat is hostile and uncivilized.Bhopal is uneducated and imbecile.rajasthan is warm and enjoyable.
gaji:unfortunate man who needs counselling for direction
Big B:self grandiose idot who thinks that he is a shahensha to poor(500m)indians who go to hindi cinema with 2 weeks salary without food.he is nothing to international level or Bengal level.
he has not achieved neither european, russian or american level any such award to satyajit ray for berlin, french & oscar or saumitra & suchitra with moscow and berlin awards.
He also tried his luck first with nehru family, then politics>then he has bagged two ladies first jaya, a bengali star and aiswyaria,a marathi star as bahu for his ugly and imbecile son who has no star quality.

I just want to comment on one thing.. Vegie diet is much more healthier than non-veg diet in all means.. There is a lot written about cons of Animal Protein and I just don’t want to start discussing that (cos lots of detail is available on net on this).. My point is that if someone has capability to bravely stand up for truth, then it is not becos of a diet.. I am non-vegetarian but I stand by with vegetarians..

When there is a competition, there has to be one winner.. a tie doesn’t mean anything.. 2 lakh vote is huge difference to clearly make one person winner.. pritam’s point does not make any sense.. who cares about him.. he is a big copy cat, who can’t create one single tune by himself..

we shall accept the result gracefully.. I am a big fan of anwesha and I also felt very bad.. but that is fine.. as per me, she is still the best.. she has got all the limelight she deserves which will ensure her bright future.. she doesn’t seem to be that upset like us, so then why making it a big deal?

only way a nation or a person can improve in health and education is to have self-introspection (self realisation) and then implement the good ones and REMOVE the bad ones through knowledge(self actualisation)(GET RID OF RELIGIOUS SUPERSTITIONS & PREJUDICES OR ANY IGNORANCE BY STRONG WILL).
i have been trying to rectify the IMC (indian medical council)FOR YEARS and even visited their office in newdelhi but failed to change them.THESE ARE IGNORANT DOCTORS WHO ARE HOLDING THE WHOLE INDIAN MEDICAL SYSTEM AT HOSTAGE AND KEEP THEIR SEATS.THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED COMPLETELY.THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH IS LIKE JOKERS AT WORK.
HEALTH & EDUCATION are the two main indexes of human developemnt. basic amenties as clean water, basic food and environmental cleanliness are absolutely essential to life.knowledge for NUTRITION AND FOOD PREPARATION ARE ABSOLUTELY necessary from school level to university level.
READING HABIT is absolutely necessary to be knowledgable.you can never be educated without it.TV IS the biggest distraction AND MAKES YOU STUPID.COMPUTER EDUCATION SHOULD BE PROMOTED.

i watched anwesha’s interview in kolkata studios. anwesha’s real talent was visible in song “lag ja gale___”,she was simply awesome. had she been given old melodius songs in chhote ustad show she would have probably bagged the title . the sound system/equipment in kolkata studios is of very high standard as the echo effect enhanced the beauty of the song. anwesha’s vocal chords are maturing with the age and she almost sounded like lata mangeshkar.
    god bless her .

devkishinji, one thing is very clear for both anwesha and aiswyaria that they both have good classical base and from this interview it was emphasized what you had once mentioned> then of course the whole selection of songs were just bizzare according to hindi films > just too confusing!!specially for us we never knew even who was who!we really thank their parents for their love and support.
thanks for your musical knowledge and contributions.

doctor biswas i highly appreciate tour balanced and logical views. you were the only person on this blog who always maintained that the two finalists in chhote ustad show were equally talented and deserved to be the joint winners .i fully agree with you. the real talent was never tested in the programme. anwesha suffered more at the hands of the music direcrors as she was given rather ordinary numbers particularly at ahmedabad,a crucial penultimate episode.
anwesha proved herself that she was the best classical singer and this country needs such talents badly.if we have to revive our traditional music, based on ragaas, then anwesha is here to bring back the golden era of indian music.she is only hope in this age of senseless pop music.

  160. By Dr.akbiswas,USA on Apr 20, 2008 | Reply

Thank you, devji >pop culture will bring drug culture and all the ills with it.we look up to India for beautiful musical culture if that is destroyed, except bollywood ,nothing will remain.
With these two talents: they are equally talented but aiswyaria’s stage free and oratory ability with emotional control is exemplary for 14yrs.i have given that credit to her on her blog.
What I can’t understand that why this musical show lags professionalism? The deficit shows on selection of songs, judges, elimination and grading etc.
With such huge expenses, why Gajji doesn’t make a musical institute, where talents could be trained for future. As much as I criticize this man, undoubtedly he has quality to organize musical shows in India. In many frustrations: IMC and Indian ministry of health both at the center and state level are big frustrations for me. HEALTH & MEDICAL EDUCATION are very close to my heart. Politics & nepotism are the biggest hindrance for medical admissions in India. Real talents are excluded and some mediocres are included, terrible frustration for me. In a simple example like this musical show, people argue senselessly about the talent of the two kids when they can see but don’t want to accept is a prejudice (ignorance). That’s why I say “killing ignorance is our dharma & duty”.

But anyway, through out the series Anwesha sang very well!! you have to realize it that everywhere in the world judges are biased….the judges are not the world’s bst judges…they made Aish win only because the final episode was in Gujarat…if it was in Bengal, there was no doubt of winning of Anwesha!!!
