This stupid show doesnt even deserve any protests.
it is rigging and dramebaazi of the lowest order….!I wonder why shaan is sticking around? the money? for this kind of cheating in the name of music? !!!

U r right dramabaazi and cheating of the worst order. Regarding Ritisha, I am sad that such a great singer was shown the door in spite of being the best in the field. I have heard both her songs (at least 25 times) yesterday they were awesome. And Sukhiji… what is the point in saying… iye larki nahin jana chaiye when all these days u made all those crude remarks about Ritisha’s singing and shattered her confidence. She always looked frightened and apprehensive on the set.
I think every body will agree with me on this count…

The SMS system in all reality shows must be stopped immediately as quite often comparatively better performers are shown the door while the mediocre talent continue, obviously due to massive support of their rich friends and relatives who spend lavishly on voting through sms/landline etc . This is nothing but mockery of talent shows and the viewers are taken for a ride and hoodwinked.
I agree with most of the viewers who have posted their comments hereinabove that Rithisha was eliminated despite her soulful performance–probably her best in entire programme-on account of polling less votes . That was a real tragedy. The brave strong-willed girl, though deeply hurt faced the situation with exemplary courage and her big reward was a spontaneous offer from Sukhvinder Singh to record the very next duet song with her. Bravo Sukhiji!Your this noble gesture gladdened the heart of Rithisha’s fans. Now please ensure that you keep your promise.Hope to hear one of your biggest duets -with Rithisha-very soon.
Rithisha you are not only a good singer but also a great human being. This society badly needs more Rithishas. God bless you.

The remaining four contestants in VOI show–Ravi Mallar Vipul and Saptaparna- do not deserve the crown of VOICE OF INDIA as none of them possesses the talent which one would expect from the winner of the Title.
GAJENDRA SINGH WITHOUT HIS TALENTED AND SKILLED ASSISTANTS-MOST OF WHOM ARE NO MORE WITH HIM-HAS FAILED MISERABLY.

This programme is becoming shameful by the day.I don’t think it deserves much attention any more.VOI is becoming a hotbed of politics and favoritism, blatantly propagated by its ‘illustrious’ judges. First of all they change the rules of the game mid way in the form of ‘wild card’ entry, and then bring in new norms that no voting will be required for those who got more marks given by the judges, and then the judges utilized this new power vested in them to downgrade or upgrade candidates as desired and direct the outcome towards a particular end. It was so blatant when they downgraded RITISHA last month after a sterling performance. Just consider this-two of the judges give her 17 marks and the third (Shkhwinder singh) gives her 12 after commenting that she sang well even with a heavy heart,there by bringing down the tally to the ‘vote seek’ category. Eventually she is eliminated on 5.12.08. This is skilful manipulation, not aimed at serving the cause of music but the judges own egos some vested interest. And to add salt to the injury Mr Sukhwinder Singh gracefully, offers to take Ritisha as the cosinger in his next duet.Now, the question is why would he do such a thing when he had deliberately downgraded her in a previous episode, even though two of the judges(including the not so friendly one-Mr Ismali) had graded her as good marks-17. Te game plan is quite obvious. To ease out Ritisha as easily as possible,without any heckles being raised. I think the way they treated Ritish is a fit case for a public interest litigation (PIL)Very unfortunately the sponsors AMUL is not intervening in this matter to restore some semblance of justice and credibility to this show.It would in the long term not only affect the interest of AMUL as well as that of Music,which interest the show is intended to promote. I have not seen such open animosity being displayed against a contestant by a judge-this may be perhaps she was from the South India!!I am sure Ritisha will bounce back to National limelight despite VOI!

If you think Ravi is a better singer than Ritisha it explains why she is out of the show….becoz of voters like these who cannot recognise true talent and who perhaps go by the dramebaazi that they concoct out of nothing and blow it out of proportion on screen…
The other three are good singers no doubt…of them I wish Mallar wins. But who knows…with the kind of voting going on?
The protest you are seeing here is about the hostile behaviour of the judges towards Ritisha? U think she sang as bad as deserving 12 in that particular episode ? Then Ravi should get 10. And the others 12-13 not more. There are no worse hypocrites than these so called mentors who conveniently become
judges when they want to bring in somebody or .eliminate somebody. Whats wrong with people that they cant see through this charade of pulling the wool over publics’ eye. I pity you guys.I just hope Ritisha has more sense and refuses to sing with Mr Singh

Isnt this a kind of public discrimination on the part of the judges? Wonder why anybody should take it? Maybe Ritisha is afraid to speak out becoz these so called judges are from the music industry and she doesnt want to spoil her chances. Thats Big Bad Bollywood for you. And some people even write that theres nothing wrong with humiliating somebody like this. Shameful.

This is a pretty stupid show…..
How come Vipul gets called twice no no thrice back into the fray and also Dhoni look alike Mallar but Ratisha gets the door.
To be fair, Ratisha was not the best though very close to being the best.
For idiotic punjabis, india==punjab and punjab==india….

Like Rithisha Ananya a very talented performer in Indian Idol programme on Sony Channel was voted out by the viewrs through their money-bag power . The poor little teenager,grand daughter of Pandit Birju Maharaj,was one of the main contenders for the title of Indian Idol but few supporters among rich viewers.
I would request organisers of the reality show Indian Idol to stop this terrible voting system of SMS etc forthwith before all talented singers are voted out by the vested interests.

We didnt start out hating this show. Over the last few series there have been some good moments associated with it as some of the bloggers here will agree with me. Its the fallen standards in this particular series which are despicable to us viewers.
Nobody can stop others from expressing their views and opinions. You are right though..it doesnt deserve the vast worldwide viewership it used to enjoy. I hope somebody conveys this to the producers…….!

Devji I agree with u… SMS voting should be stopped.
But we are not discussing another malady… one SMS vote costs the user Rs 6/-. If u have to use SMS to vote in SRGMP from USA the charge is $1(wnereas the charge for an ordinary International SMS from USA is 14 cents). Secondly, I am sure many people vote online. For starvoi it is 20 votes per id and many people I am sure make multiple ids to vote for their favorite contestant.
Now what do u guys see in SVOI… guys going into danger zone/safe zone in SRGMP danger zone/between the lines. Do they ever tell u the no. of votes polled by each singer? No..
Assuming that SMS is a necessary evil (my logic it has to be stopped)… people have the right to know the number of votes polled by each contestant… for the audience have spent both their time and money voting for them. In absence of this basic transperency, I am sorry to say the show producers take the audeince for a ride.

I cant believe Ritisha is out from the Show…
She is the best singer in all the contestants and last performance that she gave was simply superb … and it was way better than the original…
Ritisha’s voice is sweet, smooth and soulful and she is damn good singer… I wish her all the best to be next Alka Yangik and Kavita Krushnamurthy of bollywood…
I am not surprised at all when Mr. Ismail Darbar responded like this for Ritisha’s “Mar Jawa” song…
Even Ismail Ji would be knowing that Ritisha is far better than her Roshni but he would never accept this because of his ego…
Ismail ji you should be fair enough to be judge of any Reality Show… Infact Ismail ji is the reason that this show and India will not get best candidate which is definitely Ritisha as the winner of STAR VOI 2.
Anyways Now nothing to follow this show… As show is all yours Ismail ji… Sir you and your Roshni is winner of Star VOI 2.
Ismail Ji you can support your Roshni who is worst voice we ever got in any reality show… but we cant support her as she is not deserving… so in real life in coming years Ritisha – the one who is really deserving will rule music charts and that time you wont be able to stop her by placing her in bottom three like VOI 2… and definitely Ritisha will be Voice of every leading lady of bollywood…

Hey Now definitely we are going to stop watching this Show.
As best singer is out from the show only because of Political game played by judges.
We are not against musician Ismail Darbar, Great Singer Sukhvinder ji and Musician Monty Ji … they all are good in their work but ofcourse We are against Judges of Star VOI2 because as Judges they are not fair and so they are not good … totally biased and egoist Judges we ever get in any Reality Show…

Who is speakingabout Sukhwinder Singh,the singer. He is undoubtedly an extraordinary singer. In this respect I agree with Mr Sonu Nigam’s opinion.The issue is Mr Sukhwinder Singh’s role as a Judge. Has he unwittingly allowed himself to be a part of a conspiracy, aimed at directing the outcome of this show even at the cost of sacrificing merit?? This is the main question, for which only Mr Singh can answer.

You are absolutely right. With a judge like Ismail Durbar who talks abouts consistency when he himself has given only two hits in his career. Ritisha is a true singer. Maybe not a performer and I always thought VOI was all about singing. VOI has become a farce this year. I loved watching VOI in the past but now looking at how the judges have played politics in this show I am totally disgusted. If this is a reality show then they had no right to bring malhar and vipul back. All dramabazi indeed with their sob stories. Monty is the only true fair judge in this lot. Thanks to Ismail durbar and Sukhi ji for killing the show. Shaan is reduced to being a prop.

I totally agree. This is THE most biased show ever. Ritisha was among the top 3 after public vote. When they (judges) realized that she would win…they changed the entire concept of the show. Judges started giving marks and who did they bring back…Vipul…whom public had rejected 3 times. For heavens sake what kind of a show is this? If this was the case the judges shd have been judging from the begininng itself. All of this is just a farce…All this talk about talent is BS. People who really give importance to music..please dont watch this show! It’s THE most biased show EVER!

Stopped watching VOI long long time back when the selection was manipulated to keep Vipul in all the time and eliminate Ritisha. Still, a morbid curiousity had me looking at the comments here…
It’s easy for me to say the following, since I am not part of the show but:
Other contestants didnt you have ANY DIGNITY!!? You should have just left when they started doing all that ‘safe zone’ stuff. Ritisha why did you take all that crap – you should have just left and made it quite obvious why you did so.
Either it is a bias towards Punjabis (How Zee reality shows are/were always being won by Bengalis) or there have been heavy ‘donations’ from the side of the favoured contestants.

the viewer’s anger over elimination of rithisha is clearly visible in their comments and rightly so as rithisha ,though erratic in some of her performances dazzled in her last performance and she thereby proved that she was way above other contestants.she was undoubtedly the best voice of this drab show-one of the worst ever reality shows on indian television.no doubt the judges for once have committed a blunder and now it is too late to make amends.
rithisha should continue with her singing along with her engineering studies . now a days singing is more lucrative vocation than an engineering degree.

In fact I sensed that this show was not about music. We could see Ritisha constantky harassed by the judges. Was it coz she is south Indian. In my opinion this shaow has most incompetent judges, a sharp contrast to Chote Ustad contest. I stopped seeing this show almost 2 months ago. God save such shows…

What a charade!!!! Ritisha was best of the lot!!! . In fact durbar says roshni should be VOI – on what basis ? She is a mediocre singer who is never going to get off the ground.
Durbar had created similar rukus in sa re ga ma pa when he promoted mediocre singer Debu over Hemchandra. Look where Hemchandra is and where debu is.
Sukhi is another crack pot. Doesn’t realise people have rejected fatso three times. That *$#^& doesn’t have moral value to let go. Wish him bad luck all through out the competition.
