About Aditi:
Aditi’s grandfather and her father are Dhrupad singers. Aditi, too, is following their footsteps and follows a strict regimen of riyaaz. During the audition, the judges felt that the classical touch that she has in her singing could prove to be a problem later. Aditi has decided to mould her singing to enaure that it suits playback.

Amitabh has been struggling for a year in Mumbai, doing stage shows, to get an entry into the musical world. His family, however, has been very patient and have supported him in every possible way. About Anirudh:
Lady Luck was on Anirudh’s shoulder on the day of the audition, which is probably why he made it into the show. According to the judges, his performance had many errors but what sailed him through to the studio round was his natural talent. Abhijeet said that he had to be reprimanded a lot to come into form. Today, Anirudh is working very hard to win the hearts of the jury.

Arindam’s inspiration was the fakir who used to sit outside a hotel in Kolkata and sing. His song plucked Arindam’s heartsings. Apart from the songs of Kishore Kumar, Arindam is also a huge Aerosmith fan. He has the backing of all his friends who say that Arindam will be the ASVOI.

About Arvind:
Arvind comes from the town of Kangra, nestled between the hills of Himachal Pradesh. His idol is Kishore Kumar and confesses that he has a huge weakness for the sad and sentimental melodies sung by Kishore Da. When asked to sing, Arvind almost instinctively belts out Kishore Kumar numbers. He did the same for the audition and got appreciated for the sincerety in his voice.

Ashpreet claims that the first words she spoke were the seven notes of sargam. Music is in her genes: her father is a lyricist and mother is also deeply interested in music. She is a huge fan of Madan Mohan’s music as she feels that his compositions have a lot of depth. She has won many competetions in college.

Dipin had taken part in a show but till the last minute he didn’t know what he was going to sing. He was very nervous. Then, it started raining. This inspired him and he sang a song set to Raag Malhaar. He says that this was his best performance ever. He comes from a family rooted in classical music.
